    Omg just when i thought the router bit organization was perfection with the wall cleat magnet strip, now you did THIS. Jeez.

    Very neat from the solutions to the hidden caster, I love the magnet idea over the traditional way to store bits… very nice router table

    You have accomplished a super practical and efficient design while still maintaining attractiveness of the whole unit. Amazing! Imagination leads to resourcefulness and you have it in spades. I especially love your router bit storage. I have the same complaint regarding grabbing bits from a drawer or rack by their blades and your idea has solved that issue for me. Thank you.

    First off, I think your video builds are awesome! I followed your instructions and made the miter saw dust box and the magnetic dust port adapters and they both work really well! My next build will be your table saw under wing storage cabinet. However, in this video at 15:13 you mention that you would link the 3d printing plans for the router inserts with cut outs to increase air flow on your website. I have the JessEm lift like yours. But I am unable to find it. Do you have it someplace else? Keep up the great videos! Thanks.

      Thank you so much for the support, greatly appreciated! Glad you are liking the magnet dust posts and miter saw box! I will throw the router inserts up over the next week or so. I think they could still use some fine tuning which is why I didn’t put them up sooner. Downside is if the board is running over any part of the insert that is open, the suction actually makes the piece harder to slide across the router table because the suction is so strong. If it isn’t over one of the holes, it does collect dust better, so a bit of a trade off that I still think it worth it in most scenarios, but not all.

    You, sir are one heck of a craftsman. Is this what you do for a living, or are you an extremely talented hobbyist? I've watched most of your videos and will (without a doubt) be referencing them non stop as my shop comes together. Thanks for sharing such detailed explanations and detail. Awesome, awesome work. Thanks for this! I just bought a secondhand 36” PCS and it came with the overarm dust collection. Thought that was a nice bonus until I realized it conflicted with the SawStop router extension that my boss is gifting me.
    So I’m in exactly the same spot as you were.

    Awesome, you just gave me another idea what I need under my router table. I have the exact router table from Sawstop for a while now installed on the same side as yours since that side is always accessible. Except mine is a delta table saw which is the perfect size but needed to drill holes to integrate it. I didn’t want to spend money on the fence so I removed the flimsy metal extension wing and I butted the router table against the table saw so I can still use my delta biesemeyer style fence. Thank you

    Are there machine screw holes under there to attach the box? I assume the StopStop metal box has flaps/flanges and screws hold it up. You just used those and made little brackets or blocks on the top edges of the dust box? Looks great. Love including the reasoning and problem solving in the video. Engineering things with form and function is a big part of why woodworking is so fun.

    • @RingsWorkshop
      @RingsWorkshop  2 года назад

      Yes they do. I somehow didn’t record me attaching that. That said I made the box a little too wide so I had to rig it up with eye bolts (don’t ask, it’s what I had on hand haha). But there are machine screws that you should be able to attach from the underside of the tabletop really easy if you measure correctly lol.
