love how well made the reviews are. all broken into parts, show good angles, break everything down, no bias, good opinions, show small details. overall has a really nice "home-made video" feel
Thanks. Good review. Well broken down sections. My local bike shop warned about folding bikes and them being difficult to handle. but this looks like it covers things nicely.. thanks from Steve in 🇬🇧 Uk 👍
Hey Steve! Thanks so much for the kind words! I have also heard things about the folding bikes, but these ones, and other fattire Ebikes seem to not have too many issues. At least in my experience or people I've talked to. We'll keep the reviews coming if people keep enjoying them :)
Hey, Dave! Thanks for the kind words and supporting the channel :) Means a lot to us over here! From what I understand the original XF690 was replaced by their new model the XF690 MAXS - our review on that here - ruclips.net/video/AVWbTJyH-uQ/видео.html They're pretty sweet bikes! The XF690 MAXS has a bigger battery, bigger (thicker) frame but a majority of the parts are in-line if not the same as on the XF690.
@@stickitupyourasteric Unfortunately 5'8" is probably a lilttle too short for the 690. I'm sure there are some people that do it, but if I was shorter I'd probably look at their 650 or 800 model. Those have a shorter stepover height and still have the Cyrusher vibe about them. I appreciate you stopping by to watch the review :)
@@stickitupyourasteric I'm about 6' and I had a minor problem starting from a standing stop. My long legs were just able to make it work. Might want to get a step thru bike.
I have this bike and it is on kilometers instead of miles do you know how to switch it back miles? Also is there a way to make the bike go faster? I feel like mine goes faster than 20 miles an hour.
It's been a while since I've reviewed the XF690, however, in general, to get into the advanced menu or P SETTINGS, you press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons (the ones you use to change your levels of pedal assist) and then you'll get several P Settings you can adjust. Before you jump in there, I would google the exact display model (which should've been stamped or printed on the back) and then see which P-SETTINGS do what. Usually the "Units" P option will be either a 0 or 1 (or 1 or 2) and are either flip between imperial and metric. I hope that helps!
Hey there! Thanks so much for the compliment on the video! If you get one of these, or the new XF690 MAXS (which I believe is their new version) I'd love to hear you experience with it.
Hi, how many miles/km can you do with pedal assist mode? Do you think it's good on steep hills? I have a lot on my way back home, and was thinking of getting an eletric bike because of this
Hey there! So Cyrusher doesn’t sell this EXACT model anymore. Their newer version is called the XF690MAXS and has similar features, but a beefier frame and a cooler vibe imo. I haven’t tested that one on too many decent hills, but in my experience it’s not the best hill climber they offer, or others offer.
Hey, nice video! Do you guys know what the max throttle speed is (so the max speed at which you can drive without having to use the pedals) - it's important for regulations here in CH and I can't find the info online 😅
Hey there! Thanks for the compliment! I believe the throttle goes to the top speed on this one. I also think the XF690 MAXS is the "new" XF690. Not sure if they plan on making this one anymore. The MAXS is a very similar design, same components for the most part. That one I believe is also top speed of 28MPH on the throttle. Now, that's something you could adjust in the advanced settings, or even by replacing the controller with a properly configured speed limit settings for your local regulations. That's a bit of a project though.
Hey Simone! The XF690 PLUS is the older model of the XF690. The MAXS is their new XF690, and I believe they don't currently offer the older versions, at least through their website.
No doubt this is a great bike, but can anyone provide some information about power limits and the laws? Are you based in the US where there are no limits? (I could not figure it out from your accent) My present ebike is only a 250w and my next I want something with more power like yours. However, my understanding is that in most EU countries ebikes are limited to 250w and 25km PAS speed. I live in Korea, where the law is the same, 250w max /25 km/h. So I guess that what I want to know is if you can import this bikes into your country even if the law limits the power of the ebikes. Would be allowed to ride this in the UK? thanks
Hey Fer. Upfront, the laws, and regulations are different all over the world, as you'd mentioned. It's tough for me to say something would be legal or illegal in other countries. However, I can say that there is a huge customer base that owns and rides Cyrusher in the EU. I am based in the US, so our laws (Texas) tend to gravitate towards the 3 Class system, and this bike is more or less a Class 3. Except that the throttle goes past 20MPH, so it misses the mark with that, but otherwise looks and feels like a Class 3 Ebike.
If you put the PAS to 0, then it would be deactivated. There are also ways to turn off the PAS sensors in the advanced settings if that's something you'd like to do as more of a permanent thing.
@@sahibjamarai7400 Hey there! Most units, when PAS is set to 0, do not let the throttle give any power. If you're not looking to have much PAS, you can put that to 1. But, on some units that limits the speed of the throttle as well, which can be annoying. I would suggest diving into the advanced menu, or asking in the Cyrusher facebook groups, because it's been a while since I've had this bike, and don't remember the finer details on the advanced settings menu. Good luck with it!
Hey there! I don't think they ship to Kenya. I would look maybe at their UK site, and see if you can locate any dealers over there that may be able to ship your way. I'm not sure that's be an option, but that's where I would start looking. Best of luck to you!
You know... I wouldn't say they're the same Definitely similar, but the geometry and general feel are different. I also understand that Cyrusher has started making their XF690 MAXS and that one is different from the original XF690 and the Wallke.
@@Ennovation have u tried the wallke x3 pro? If so how does it compare to the MAXS? I'm heavily interested in the wallke and would buy it if it went back in stock on their site but it's gonna be out of stock until like October
@@yomain7227 Hey there! I have tried the X3 PRO. I believe it was their 2020 and 2021 models that I reviewed. Depending on your height (cause the MAXS is bigger) I would probably go with the MAXS. There are tons of similarities, but Cyrusher is expanding in several ways, such as a US-based customer support team, a physical store in Utah, and other physical stores opening up in the UK. Now, I think I prefer the MAXS over the Wallke components, at least the year models I reviewed, but even if they were the same for me, I'd go with the company that is investing in their future and trying to get better at customer support.
@@Ennovation good to know, thanks. I sent the Wallke customer support questions about the bike, they told me " The X3 Pro is temporarily out of stock. We deeply feel everyone's love for the X3 Pro and thank you for your enthusiasm. Once it becomes available, we will notify you immediately." ... Hey James! Sorry to hear about your experience with them! I think they do most of their selling online, so maybe some phone numbers haven’t been updated. Is there a particular model you’re looking to buy?
Hey John! They are similar, but honestly they've got some differences that you may only notice when riding. The feel is a bit different, though some of the other specs and equipment may be similar. The newer XF690 MAXS is unique both compared to this one and the Wallke.
