Im definitely using this tutorial to make my version and maybe use this to make petticoats since it can create a lot of volume with very little bulk at the waist.
This is beautiful . Ive just learned to sew a half circle skirt and now I'm making lots of them 😁 I will have to learn a bodice now so I can make dresses . Thank yuh

Hi Brit, I recently watched you pattern tutorial from Dennic chunman book. I will like to know if you are still using the method. If yes I will like to see a tutorial of what you made with it. Thanks
I only used it for the basic bodice sloper. But I moved on to my esmod technique. Dennic chunman book is precised but the explanation is too long. I wish it was more “cut to the chase just go for it already” kind of book
The 5inches for the circle skirt. Am trying to figure out what will do the design justice. I wanted to measure from waist to hip then I wondered because the lower gathered part will have to go up to my knee to look decent on me. Am plus size
@@gwensmale7675 hi, maybe you can use 8 inches instead of 5. The 5 inches is I guess only applicable on my half scale dress form but if you’re doing it for yourself use 8 inches. From the 8 inches get the length of your lower skirt (depends if until the knee or over) hope this helps. Remember that I used half scale dres form for this one, better ask someone to get your measurements for you and record it.
So happy I subscribed and was able to see this as I am going to make a dress with this skirt but with an additional tier. Thanks Brit
❤️❤️❤️ go for it!
Love this its making me want to sew more

Thank you for sharing! Making a petticoat for a full circle skirt & this helps.

So does it mean the measurements go from the waist to the hip?
Which one are you pertaining to

So the lower part wise quite longer so am not sure if it will have the same effect as your design
Will try it
