Would love to see more videos evaluating/comparing value-oriented guitars in the $500-750 range. i.e. Gretsch Electromatic range vs. PRS SE range vs. Epiphone, etc. for worship leaders looking for a good P&W axe.
My wife gave me this model as a gift for our anniversary. It's such an awesome sounding and looking guitar. Very versatile and it's my main axe now in my gigs because you get a wide sound palette for different genres, and I plan to use it in our praise and worship team at church as well. It's my very first PRS and it inspires me to play music more. Way better than the other guitars I used to play. Great review! Subscribed!
Love the guitar. I tend to move around instruments a lot on any given Sunday (often multiple on a single Sunday) between bass, electric, acoustic… I would love to see some more content for bass players if you guys ever have the time! Thank you for the passion you guys have not just for gear, but for worship and equipping worship leaders!
I have this exact same guitar, and it has become my favorite to play, even over my much more expensive guitars. It's the one I always reach for and take to church and band gigs.
My first PRS was one of the SE Custom (24) line back in 2004-05 I believe. I still regularly reach for it and I always practice with it. I cannot say enough good stuff about these guitars. Buy it, play it and enjoy.
I bought a PRS 24 Custom last year, to be honest becuase I love the birds-inlays. A few months after that we had an EG-Workshop at church, we've played the guitars of each other. Now we have 2 PRS in our worshipteam. 😁
Always fun videos. NOTE: The LOWEST end PRS is actually the SE series, CE Standard Satin model, MRSP $499. New model as of last month or so... BTW, CONGRATS Jaden! That's one fine looking & sounding guitar ;)
Thanks! I was trying to refer to the SE Standard line as a whole being their most affordable options. It's a bit misleading because the 24-08 is one of the more expensive models in that line-up (the hollow bodies are a bit more, I think). Maybe I should have clarified that a bit better in the video
@@worshiptutorials If I wasn't so happy that PRS brought the $499 SE to the market, I would not have posted a "correction" as I can't stand it when others do that LOL! After playing the new SE satin I was shocked to see such a great guitar at that price point. Love that you guys found someone to bless with the 24-08 :)
i was planning to get a prs se standard satin but I might change my mind for this one. This is a double cut, all mahogany, 8 way -optional with 3 toggle switch the same position with ce24 but the finish looks like a 594 mccarty. it's like what I wanted to all in one. vintage looking and high end for my eyes. definitely gonna get this one.
Definitely agree about the huge value here. The clean and slightly overdriven tones sound nice, but the more gainy stuff just doesn't do it for me. It's just muddy. I have 2 heavily modded SE's. One with Duncans and one with PRS USA HFS & Vintage Bass. They're amazing upgrade platforms, but to your point, a great guitar that can ride a lot of miles with you!
So, could a PRS + PodGo be a pretty solid setup for most smaller church applications? I’m just curious before I convince myself I need to spend 5K when I could do most of the same thing with 1k. (That is a beautiful guitar!)
Beautiful guitar and great sound! Anybody knows if the use of the tremelo keeps the PRS in tune a little?? Thanks! And 2nd: are locking tuners easy to install on this beauty PRS?

Are they even better than schecter guitar's? schecter guitar's are the best guitars I've played so far I like schecter they are really impressive but been hearing about this company PRS and they seem to really be getting a lot of good feedback curious about Harley Benton and PRS. Seems like both guitars are making a good name for themselves.
Bro you can’t demo a low end guitar going into thousands worth of gear. Plug that and your board into an AC 15 and mic the amp, let’s see what it really sounds like. Not hating, love the content haha, I just want a true review 😂
@@ephraimjohn8644 FACTS!! My main go to for worship is an Epiphone Custom Black Beauty from like 2004 which was only $799. I upgraded the pickups and That’s It! I have that going into my Quad Cortex and it sounds AMAZING!!
To give this guitar a fair shot he has to use the same gear that he uses with his expensive guitars. That way you can compare the guitar and you are giving it the best shot.
@@TomsonTheOne totally get what your saying, but tbh with all the effects every guitar sounds the same on YT. It’s not until you hear it in person or on a simplified rig is when the actual guitar itself speaks. My mans using a Quad Cortex + a $3000 board. You could plug a Squire into that and it will probably sound the same or similar
It’s also part of the SE Standard line - that is what I was referring to as the most affordable line of guitars from PRS. The 24-08 sits in the middle or toward the top of the SE Standard line.

Trouble is...whether it's an SE or $15,000 Custom Shop creation, as soon as you hit that distortion button you lose me. Distortion has this magical ability to make any guitar, inexpensive or megabuck to sound TERRIBLE.

Hi, does the use of the tremelo keeps the PSR in tune a little?? Thanks!
@@roschifferling I've never had any problems with tuning on this guitar, but I don't exactly do dive bombs, either ;)
Sounds like a dream. I honestly haven’t considered an SE until hearing this.
I have an SE Standard 24 and love it. The mahogany is beautiful and the playability is amazing.
i bought this guitar for my birthday 2 weeks after this video came out
Wow so impressed with this review and the stunning guitar playing and tones superb 👌

My PRS swamp ash special SE has quickly become my favorite guitar. Not only does it sound and play excellent, it stays in tune.
Playing a SE Custom 24 Floyd into a Kemper Stage (my church rig). Solid tones week after week. God bless you guys @ WT....
Partial coil tap is created by using a resistor on the coil tap switches that go to ground, rather than a wire going straight to ground
I own the blue version since some weeks, can completely recommend it. Changed the tuners to locking ones, that’s it!

I think the mahogany finish looks cooler than the maple caps - less “hair metal”.
How does it compare to Baum’s Indonesian guitars?
