Daniel, Fredrik and Leo. My head will explode. 3 of my favorite people in music. I must get this!
A GREAT team. They did a fantastic job on this project!
Fantastic!
Yeaaaaaaah!!!!! TOONTRACK RULES AGAIN!!!!!
OK. This is literally my Dream come true! Finally some really really metal drums!!! Thank you toontrack
Oh hail yeah! You boys did a real fine job each and all.
I'm about to track with it right now! Later.
sounds amazing, i got it today and already played around with it, sounds fantastic, i only wish there would be a bit more presets that showcase a bigger variate of what these kits are capable of, and also please include a bit more midi-grooves please.
Soon in my HD and DAW. 😍
Amazing! I like toontrack❤
This seems another great SDX!
Came back to SDX at just the right time! F YES!
Hi mates! Forget about the drum sounds! The carpet is crazy! Haha! Actually, my three kids like more to play the edrums with your SDX than playing with toy cars.
Kidding aside! Again, great work! I did not grab it yet. I got the Death & Darkness SDX, and the Post-Metal EZX. I don't know ... I will sleep on it again. Now.
This is super FIRE!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Another Great SDX?! 🤘🏼
Sometimes I‘m happy to not run my channel anymore 😂
999th reissue of the pretty much same product....TT keeps repeating itself and got extremely boring...i really wonder if anyone is buying these packs that sound identical
I'm not happy about it. 😭
Mike! Please come back once in a while I miss your content
What mics are they using on the toms?
Yeah that's what I like to know as well.
The mics you see there are Ehrlund microphones :)
@@LeoMargarit1 Judging by the looks I'm guessing they are the EHR-E
@@brentharmonmusicproduction Makes sense, I always mix up the letters but they have I only one model looking like that. I own myself a pair of M’s. Their entire line is unbelievable!
Wish we could've gotten some floor toms on the left side.
❤❤❤❤
keren 👍👍
that stereo mic at each drum seems a great idea
release for EZDrummer
This has to be the most metal drum-carpet i‘ve ever seen!🫡 but in all honesty, the sounds are amazing!
I guess as computers get more and more ram as standard you can increase the number of individual instruments in the kits. You can never get to many toms if you ask me
Name of the song at 1:17 please !!!
great stuff, you forget to mention the capabilities with a trigger with E drums...
Hey toontrack. It's nice that you put so much effort into the development of new sdx's and the marketing for them. but unfortunately I still haven't found a solution for programming realistic (half)-open hihats in the 8th note pattern at higher bpm´s (160-180). it always sounds washy, or (depending on the voice and layer settings, where i can get rid of the "washyness") like a random generator with 3 samples... is that better with the new sdx's? because the way it is now, your program is unfortunately not usable for me. i use the sd3 core library and independent. I think i have tried everything.. :/
Hey, have you contacted our support about this? They would be happy to take a closer look at this with you. Use the Contact Support button at the bottom of this FAQ to get in touch: www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/
@@toontrack Hey, thank you for the reply! I'll send you an email as soon as possible. Have a nice day! :)
I tend to hear it the same way. I found that using passive EQ to boost mids helps (and make sure its got enough level and compression on hi hat overheads). First i always max out the voices/layers and slowly reduce that if needed. Hi-hats are tricky. Helps to vary open-ness but it shouldn''t be needed. The pedal hihat is particularly weak without passive EQ . (I find digital serial EQ is too harsh for this boost - less natural soundinf...)
I got hit maker and use it’s snares with the bob rock pack
With so many cymbals and mics this SDX will be hungry on RAM... 8.5GB at 7:04... But I appreciate the variety and versatility.
@@mikestone6095 Good point. I'm a guy of quality over quantity, but quantity here doesn't harm anyone.
What is the song at 1:18?
Hey! The song is called Underground and it is a demo song for Area 33 SDX that you can listen to here under Full Productions: www.toontrack.com/product/area-33-sdx/
Are the samples pre-processed?
Hey Daniel, you can listen to the raw samples at the site: www.toontrack.com/product/area-33-sdx/
Click "Instruments & Articulations", there are multiple examples of the raw kits there. The kits can be loaded in SD3 as raw kits without any effects in the Mixer or in the more "processed" presets.
@@toontrack Thanks, incredibly good sounding raw samples!
🤣 that drum kit is mammoth 🦣 in numbers _and_ sizing....
A drum set isn't complete with at least two hihat stands.
(Is there a logic reason you monetize your videos?)
@@MATCHLESS789 Not always. I see many channels not having ads.
Most likely a setting on per video basis since also Toontracks has videos with no ads on. (The proper way for a developer channel.)
I stay with Naughty Seal Perfect Drums ✌🏼
I don't like this one much...I prefer SD3 and Death & Darkness (Darkness not much either).
Do we really need more Metal SDX/EZX? C’mon… let’s try to extend the tonality a little bit and have some more Vintage, Jazz, ‘80s, African, etc…
There is enough of this Metal stuff... What about 80's Rock drums ????? Those were the best sounding IMO..
You can easily pull off 80's rock with this library.
Easily you can do 80s Pop rock.
It is METAL MONTH!! Lol November metal month every year
@@RickBobO That was not 80's hair metal Rock drums. Not even close.
Welcome to Metal Month...Someone has been sleeping. :D
Now we are waiting for an SDX that will tickle the real drum aficionados and not just "metal", i.e. Weckl Winter SDX during Fusion February, Donati December Drop, Cobham/Coleman/Colaiuta Cascade SDX, Horacio Hernandez Hangover SDX and so on ... (vi ger det några år till). But drums are drums are drums.
i have recorded on many albums you've heard. i have also studied w/ weckl and know his drum sound well. you can get the 90s fusion sounds you're after with their current libraries, but you have to know how audio works. if you want solid fusion drums with which to create a palate, start w/ calvin rodgers' newish gospel ezx. also new york sessions' sdx, hansa, roots sticks, and the recent hitmaker. you need to build your own kits to get the right sounds. the most important aspects of the sounds you're after are primarily these factors: snare choice, cymbal choice, compression, and room sound / reverb. another tip: i have NEVER gotten the sound i've wanted off of the stock sdx effects.
Thanks for a fantastic answer that completely missed the easy point of my post. But you should not feel bad about it:) As I said: drums are drums are drums, and Dave was merely an example. I too have used SD for the past 15 years recording to clients worldwide. That of course includes routing everything to DAW and using only my plugins of choice. On top of acoustic recordings, mixing, mastering. I can get the drum sound I want from a nice selection of bean cans if I get creative and enough time, but you have to know how how audio works. Let me know if you want help with getting the drum sound you're after.
Best of luck!
@@ricklang_drummer metros response was better
@@melvinbrinson - happy to provide deeper details as to how to create a good weckl drum sound across the entire kit :: his production sound from the 80s, post-first 3 albums, and today. perhaps i should create some content.
It's just too bad TuneTrack doesn't give a damn about blind musicians because if they did and made Superior Drummer accessible for us I could buy this great SDX but I can't because greedy businesses won't make their software accessible to the blind so I hope you like losing money TuneTrack. It may not be much but the few thousand blind engineers/musicians in the world know. We know you don't and won't care just like most other companies so yeah. I'm not gonna stop trying though.
I’d love suggestions on how to make software that blind people can use. But possibly give suggestions as it’s also quite hard without user feedback
You shouldn't accuse Toontrack of greed. Many software developers simply don't have accessibility on their minds. Audio software is usually optimized for low-latency performance. In that environment, the motto is "less is more". However, it is quite possible that accessibility can be added without sacrificing performance.
SDX makes no sense SDFX Special Defects.Man i can not wait for the album to come out.I already have it in repeat in my mind
