Solo Incorporated USA thank you for commenting. So far so good, they have both been great units this year when I used them. The only improvement could be maybe a better wand as they didn’t come with the adjustable nozzle tip and even after getting it the adjustment of the spray isn’t the greatest but other then that the battery powered sprayers are much more productive over a pump system.
Solo USA hello I would really appreciate a demo one for roof cleaning. I spray bleach and water through it and want to see if your product will hold up. dawndavidbender@yahoo.com for my mailing address. Thank you in advance in the event you can provide me one to try out.
Donna Goodwin your welcome. At this point the 416 is better because of lithium battery and larger water capacity. Since the 417 is no longer 6.6 gallons and was reduced to a 4.5 gallon sprayer.
Have you tried low volume fan nozzles? If so, have you noticed motor pulsating , that is, cycling off and on ? Also, with brass adjustable nozzles set to a fine , low volume, fan spray have you noticed excessive motor cycling on and off?
Lott Cat I have not tried them. No I have not experienced that. The motor is on the whole time while I am holding the handle and motor kicks off as soon as I let go of the handle.
@@djg1028 Great! We've always used the piston Solo sprayers because the diaphragm sprayers don't feel like they operate as nicely, but the soluble powder will somewhat shorten the life of the piston and it's chamber. Are these battery operated Solo's as serviceable/repairable as the pump sprayers?
Ben Shelton I believe they are just sa serviceable and repairable, solo is known for having great service at getting parts. Also the time alone it will save you from not having to manually pump as you spray is what is worth it.
When will 1 of these co, that are making so much $$$ on these cheap pieces of plastic mark out on the tank so we can actually see how much LIQUID is measured in the tank this is crazy
Todd Benfield they both have lasted a pretty long time! I’ve never sprayed more then 2 hours at one time and I had no problems. I think the spec runtimes are over 5 hours.
Todd Benfield no idea, I would say several years easily. It just says in the manual to charge the battery once every 3 months even if not in use to preserve the battery.
Real garbage. The company sent me multiple 416 units all of which leaked in 2018 (during my pest control season!). Ultimately I returned the units and was refunded. Solo couldn't provide a non-leaking unit (despite "testing" the units). Highly disappointed, the pump is a real piece of junk (leaks at the seams/tested only with water). I'm wondering if they had a bad batch, but I purchased from multiple retailers with same problem. I recently ordered the new B&G pestpro power IV...will see how longevity is...At least it is made in the USA/comes with 2 batteries/similar price point. If you enjoy being frustrated and having chemical leak down your back, this Solo is the unit for you!
Erik Nadolink Wow, that’s amazing, maybe it was a bad batch, I’ve had many hours so far on both of these sprayers and haven’t had any leaks. I never heard of that new unit you got, I will check it out.
Goran V LOL no shit, I’m a big Stihl fan however their powered backpack sprayers are misters only. Good for mosquito and insect spraying. And even their largest Stihl SR 450 only holds 3.7 gallons of piss. These solo’s here hold 5 gallons of piss and 6.6 gallons respectively and are more suitable for weed killer.
Thank you for the review! We are glad you are having good results with your battery powered backpack sprayers!

Thank you! Please give our customer support desk a call #800-765-6462. We will happily replace the nozzles!

why is this not sold in Australia - the Li version?
Great demo, thanks so much for helping us make up our minds on which one to buy!

Can you tell me my 417 battery is low power I put on charger but charger can I take battery out then charge directly to battery thanks
I am interested in buying 416. Which nozzles do you recommend for spraying lawns against weeds? Is this adjustable brass fit?
The 416 is great! Don’t have to pump it and lasts all day. The adjustable brass nozzle will be perfect!!!
Where did you order it from? Please let me know
Frank Y Forestery-suppliers.com has the best prices. You might have to google that name and their website will come up.

Still have them after all these years?
Yes
Can you use powder products in these sprayers? Thx!
Ben Shelton I never have but I don’t see why not, as long as the powder mixes with water and is dissolvable it should work just fine.

GRASSTHIEF yeah I know, I had to mark it myself with a labeler in USA gallons because when n measure I need to do it in U.S. measurements.
@@djg1028 yep me also 🤓👍
How long does battery last?

Would these be ok to spray bleach through for roof washing
I don’t see why not
Good sprayers when they work but here in the UK their parts and customer service is non-existent!
Anyone use this for roof cleaning or house washing using bleach and water?
David Bender It should be fine for that.

Solo is the worst ever
Could have said at start ov vid that you like the 416 more and promoting that one 😂
Think i can piss with more volume
Take Stihl SR420 and do a proper job
