Nike AirMax97 has become like the official sneaker for shuffling. I see them in almost every shuffle video I watch.
Emylee, Vanseco, Cici, Mary Grace, Ana Kirilik... all have at least 1 pair.

How long do these shoes last you? I got these pair of Adidas (Men's CF Ilation 2.0) in May before going backpacking for 4 months. I ended up going to techno parties 3-5 nights a week and shuffling a lot (your first tutorial really helped me out btw so thanks for that!). Unfortunately the seams ripped in the front for both shoes just 3 months into the trip (still wearable but not very presentable haha). Just got another pair of Adidas (Men's hoops 2.0) and am hoping these last longer
Radventures of Tintin I’ve had my filas for a year now! Still going strong but probably wearing a bit on the bottom. My nikes I’ve only had for a few months but I suspect they will last a while
When I used to skateboard I used shoe goo to prevent holes. The lifetime of a pair of shoes went from 1 month up to 6 months, and sometimes even a year. Just apply shoe goo where you see that a hole begins to form. Of course, your shoes won't be presentable but they will last longer, and that's cool for training (personally I don't care if it's presentable or not haha).

I like Vans 4 walking as I need wide toe box in 7 also. The gummies soles make them flat& comfortable But are to gummies 4 dance unless in a wet court as the gummies grip is designed for Skateboarding GRIP and wear very fast. Are the Sz7 High top Vans 4 sale? I am wearing the low7 Blk Vans👍

I like Shuffle Dance very much. But for now I am just watching. :-) I tried some tutorials and practice but for now I just can’t get used to this type of movements.
You should get reebok princess hi-tops all white and very light and they have been around for years

What about learning to shuffle without shoes? That way you may feel your weight movement better? Are there any disadvantages?
If you want to learn to stand on your toes which is a very cool shuffling move, then you do need shoes
You can do that but it's a lot harder on your legs and you'll be more likely to get shin splints. Youll be much happier in a supportive pair of shoes
Shoes protect your feet so shuffling is better with shoes on.

I learned running man in socks. I put on shoes and it’s a lot harder :(
Skip the slide part and lift your feet a little bit from the ground but just a little bit that it doesn't look like your skipping the slide. I think it looks better this way
I know this was a year ago, but I’m just starting to learn and I relate! Do you have any tips for me now on how to adjust to RM in shoes?
i know this is an insanely late reply haha... since a few weeks i've picked up shuffling and i started learning it on nike air max on my rockhard tile floor... It was extremely tiring as i have 100% grip and cant slide 1 milimeter on that floor (though I can jump around like crazy due to the grip). Then I tried socks and it felt like cheating cause I did not have to do all those mini hops//jumps anymore to make it look like i'm actually sliding over the floor and... i kinda felt bad doing that... i am looking around now for better shoes tough... perhaps without any profile to make me able to atleast slide a little but i dun know yet what to get ...
Them Adidas are the best if your foot is like mine and a little wide..Best shoe i ever had. Still have them.. I promice you will love them in time..

My shoes grip the carpet and tiles. Makes it hard to shuffle as the shoes grip the floor. :(

Yea it's a con because with socks it's easy to slide but not with shoes
