I still rock fila. That's all I wear.
This aint 2017 anymore. All the people that hated this shoe (or any chunkier sneaker) were hypebeasts that only liked wearing skinny jeans/joggers, Jordan 1s, Dunks low and a graphic tee.
I’m glad the 2010s are over, skinny jeans should have never been a thing
Interesting. fila is actually very popular in Asian countries, in woman market because ppl think it's from Korea and Koreans wear it a lot then Chinese. As it can visually make the feet look smaller and legs look slimmer. I wear it all my life😂
I just bought 2 pairs of Fila shoes today, January 7, 2023 (Australian time) and girls all over are looking at me as if I passed the vibe check.
They are popular in Brazil too. I find it funny how most brand are considered the most absolute garbage in the US. Cars, for example. Everyone likes Nissan here, but if you say the word Nissan in the US, they might put you in the that terrorist list they have. It's interesting how American select a few brands to be considered "quality" and the rest is just trash.
I bought them years ago for my girlfriend. She still loves me❤😂

Surprised to see Fila is considered wack. Fila exploded in Dubai and was super hype a year ago. Still have a presence. I guess context matters

Why does he think they’re ugly? I think they’re a fine looking shoe. I get that they’re chunky and have a dad shoe preconception but they look clean. I love the chunky all white look of it.

I consider myself an OG. And i didnt rate Fila back in the early 90s when they were originally hyped. In the 90s alot of the sneakers had a technology which they focused on and was their unique selling proposition. Nike had Air Max, Adidas had its torsion system, Asics had its Gel, Reebok had Pump, Converse had REACT. L.A Gear had its lights. Fila had nothing, it was just popular in the early 90s due to its tracksuits. And in the UK at least was just popular with chavy football fans and their kids.
Fila had the 2A technology but I agree, they didn't focus their marketing around their technology, it was more the "fashion sportswear brand" 🤷♂
