    John, you shine at this kind of stuff. People quickly take a liking to you, and share stuff with you. I like the scale of things in Japan. Those little restaurants are perfect. That’s not to say there isn’t great big places there. You show them too.

    I really loved this live stream. It's always really interesting and I enjoy very much watching this side of Japan -a special and unique side of this beautiful country, remote and tranquil, away from the center city and a side which is not commonly seen by us viewers or experienced by tourists. It was nice seeing how fun and friendly everyone was and all the food looked amazing! Great video!Kanpai, John 👍🇯🇵❤

    Hi John. If you will be visiting Suzaku Crossing Hotel in Kyoto please buzz me, there is a tiny okonomiyaki restaurant besides Suzaku (the hotel where I stayed). It is operated by the nicest old couple there. The ambience there is "old Japan" and the people were all very nice. I want to see them again even just on video. I definitely would visit them again on my next trip. Thanks John!

    John, so he's not only the CEO but also the Brew Master? So is it like a really old Micro Brewery? Can we buy his Saki here in the States? He seemed to want to talk to you more, maybe he thought you were going to interview him about his excellent booze, but ya kinda ignored him 🤐
    Is the chicken breast meat?
    I bet that area is jumping on Friday and Saturday nights. That little place looks like a really cool neighborhood bar to hang out in for a couple of hours every evening after work.
    If ya move yer feet you'll lose yer seat lol.
    I'm really surprised that places like this weren't gentrified after the last earthquakes in Japan.
    John, You looked a little buzzed by the end of the video lol. Loved the video, thanks for the experience 👍

    Was told when I was at Oita that sake from Kyushu are the best. if so, are any of these sakes some of the best in Japan?

    • @onlyinjapanGO
      @onlyinjapanGO  5 лет назад

      Theodore K C Wong Shochu is certainly the best, but the sake in Oita - was quite good!! I didn’t know that Oita is the only place known for its sake. The other places are mostly Shochu so that makes Oita special.
