I've gotten this question on Resident Evil 4 a fair number of times so I thought I'd finally put Ashley to the test against the Armadura. Luckily for us, Resident Evil 4 gives us the option to use doors as weapon, so guess what my first idea was for the knights? This whole RE4 challenge showed me lots of new things about the game and I'm happy to be sharing it with you boys. So, can Ashley kill the knights/Armadura in Resident Evil 4? Watch the full video to find out! And yes I did do this RE4 challenge on my PS4. This game is also known as Biohazard 4.

Resident Evil 4 is a survival horror game where you take control of the man known as Leon Kennedy who is on a mission to save Ashley Graham, the president's daughter. Hello friends, my name is Dante and I think we can all agree… Ashley is completely useless. She can’t do anything right, all she ever does is cower and scream for Leon’s help, and really, she shouldn’t have even been born. She was a mistake to humanity. I mean goddamn, she can’t even go seven seconds without getting kidnapped. I’m constantly tempted to put on my Thanos glove and bi*ch slap her to another dimension. But today, I had faith. Today, I rejoiced, and I believed that with the powers of god and anime on her side, Ashley could impress me and finally earn my respect. So, can Ashley kill the knights in Resident Evil 4? Let’s find out baby.
When I defeated the verdugo and the chainsaw guy a couple months back with just a door, a few of you sweet honeys in the comments asked me if it was possible to do the same thing to the knights, the armaduras, as Ashley. That was laughable to me. I just thought there was no possible way this would ever work. Ashley has no access to weapons throughout her mini adventure, not counting the little fire lanterns of course, and she’s really meant to just run away from her foes. But there was one unknown weapon available to me… one weapon to rule them all… that was a promising solution to the knight dilemma. The single wooden door. And you know what the cool thing is about wooden doors in Resident Evil 4? You press a button to activate them, kind of like the like button on this video. Clicking the like button really helps out my videos with the RUclips algorithm, tremendously helps my channel to get found and generally just supports me in a big way, so if you guys wouldn’t mind giving that like button a little tap and giving that like button a little slap, I’ll be forever grateful and I really appreciate it. Now getting back into the video, before I spent an unnecessarily long time trying to door slam these knights like I was just another typical competitor in WWE, I decided I’d go into big brain mode, put on my big boy pants, and do some math.

It’s definitely possible to kill the knights as Leon
I know this because during Ashley’s segment I used Razor’s RE4 trainer to swap Ashley to Leon which gave me all my weapons I already had in the game and they work just like the other knights
As for killing them with a door idk haven’t tried that and nor do I have the patience to
Btw I have another resident evil 4 challenge
Can you beat resident evil 4 while collecting every single gun
Meaning you must have every single gun in your inventory by the end of the game
Bonus points if you can upgrade all of them
+4 and a reverse uno card if you can somehow fit both rocket launchers in there (by both I mean the normal one and the special one at the end of the game meaning taking care of saddler the hard way)
SCArkadia the main reason I used the trainer there was because of this awesome thing I found someone else do out of bounds on RUclips
Apparently on the Japanese version Ashley’s segment is purely fixed camera like the classic games and I thought “man I wish that was a thing in the US version”
Turns out it is but not fully and you have to go out of bounds to activate it
It’s in the last room with the chest but to your left will be a table, hang on the right corner of the table activate your no collision and walk through the wall
That’s when the camera changes
Unfortunately it’s one angle tho and if it changes it’s back to over the shoulder
This is all very interesting. So it has to do with the door not spawning the plaga then, that seems to be the only problem

Since I assumed the regenerator was invincible unless using the sniper rifle but later found out they’re not (granted it was ages ago when I found that out when I was like 10)
It probably just takes longer than normal to kill those knights
But I’m just guessing

Funny you did this, I've been using Cheat Engine to keep track of exact damage values in RE4 and tested this myself. Those Armaduras unfortunately don't actually take damage from the door. This is strange, because pretty much every other enemy does, but they're programmed not to. They have the same HP as the 4-1 Armaduras (minus the middle black one, which is a bit stronger than the others).
Oh cool great to see you here man, I've seen some of your videos. And that's so interesting and weird! Why would one knight have more health than the others? Also it's strange to me they don't take damage from the door since I wouldn't expect anyone to do what I did. So many questions I have about this stuff that'll never get answered... it's just weird to me the animation still plays off after they get hit. Thanks for clearing that stuff up

My guess would be that it's due to the door being a blunt object and them wearing armor means that you'd need to use some kind of piercing damage against them. I'm not sure if they differentiate between damage in RE4 but i do know that certain guns can pierce things more effectively.

It is frequently used in re4 speedruns.
WELL! If Ashley was never born, she'd never be kidnapped. Then, the American government would never take notice of Los Illuminados. Thus, Leon never gets sent to Spain. Thus, Los Iluminados aren't defeated in their early stages. Imagine if Los Iluminados had several more years of preparation before they were caught. At the very least, it'd be another tragedy on par with Raccoon City.
Thus, Ashely's uselessness saved tens of thousands of lives. Thus, Ashley having never been born would have been undeniably worse for the universe.
thus, no re4 for us to play, so useless ashley gave us a great game(unlike other useless companies)
They'd have just resorted to:
A. Kidnapping the president itself.
B. His wife?
C. His friends?
D. A valuable senator/general?
E. Made some stupid alternate plot.
My thinking is that they felt that they were as prepared as they were ever going to be.
Therefore: Ashley was just the simplest pawn for them.
Not really, Wesker would have taken care of them.

Ashley is equipped with impressive ballistics. That alone justifies her existence ...I think.

Did you know during the platinum sword and golden sword puzzle you can pick up the platinum sword and Ashley will use the sword
Does nobody remember how Ashley could stun a cultist with the same door and follow up with a German suplex on the GameCube version?

@@DanteRavioli When you do the grenade only challenge, you better hope the RE gods are on your side in 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3. I tried and had the worst luck getting explosives. Which made me fail the challenge twice. (sorry for deleting and reuploaded the comment. I thought I did this on the wrong comment 🤣🤣)

You can, but it takes a lot of damage, and the knights, out of every other enemy in the game, don't take damage from doors.

Some people might think that it is based on the fact that RE4 started development a long time ago on the PS2 but the project was restarted more than once with the final version of the game being developed as a GameCube exclusive that actually ended up being ported to the PS2 with additional features.
GameCube got Version 1.0. Basically.

Ashley is extremely helpful in the Knight armor, just have her wait in-between you and an enemy and she'll just tank everything.

I used to be but later came to admire the game design on her sections. Easily the best escort missions I can think of, and playing as her was rather tense at least the first few times.
@@Gaff. Compared to some other defenseless AIs, she's not that bad. It helps a lot that she stays behind Leon most of the time. Playing as her was also one of my favorite parts. It kind of reminded me of Haunting Ground (it's another Capcom game where you play as a girl that can't really defend herself too well).

She's really good about not being in the way, and if the idea is to have to protect her, unlike in games like Last of Us or RPGs with companions, it was the most balanced and rewarding way I've seen it done in any game. Haunting Ground is a game I'm wanting to play for years and years but never got round to it.

AH FINALLY I've been waiting for your video Dante, glad to see it's another ridiculous challenge. I can't wait to watch. 😁 Edit: I want to say the knights are invincible. I'd assume the game devs didn't expect them to ever have to take damage. Great challenge either way and I hope we get our answer on this challenge.
I just don't understand why they react to the door then. The Iron Maidens and dogs don't react to it (I believe) so if the knights are invincible, I wonder why they react to the door when they get hit with it. It's weird

I have played this game on every console, and recently just picked it back up, my family thinks that it's weird to replay it over and over but I play it every year at least one. It's one of my favorites for sure!

I sat down for two hours in RE4, doing the same thing like you did, and Ashley was nit able to kill the knights in that room. I then used mods to teleport the same enemies to another area, while still playing as Ashley, and she still didn't kill them (By the Way I played on the PC version)

I think the reason why armaduras can't be killed by doors is cause their knees are invincible, and door slams do damage specifically to their knees
A curious thing: in RE4 American version when Ashley kicks a door and places exactly behind the enemy She could do a SUPLEX to an enemy you can search it (1.0 version only)

If you swap Ashley with Leon they can be killed but just not by doors they are immune to it

I brought this game on the GameCube in 2006 (I think) my then girlfriend now wife gave it away by mistake when we moved abroad. Fast forward to 2020 and I bought it on download on my PS4 as I always said it was one of my favourite games, and now I’m finding all this new content on YT, great to see so much appreciation and funny new videos for this classic

Rules:
No guns
No grenades
Kicks allowed
Healing items allowed
Not sure you can kill sadler without using guns. I haven't tried again in many years tho so it might be possible
Probably the easiest one, except you need some grenade to rescue Ashley when she was chain on the wall.
A few flash on the water hall sniper section.
And a few shot/grenade facing U3 to open the gate.
