@@QuickBikes I’m looking forward to this being a runner and the Asbo coming back! But you do need a new ride with summer coming. You need sponsorship pal to pay the bills 💵 👍
Looking good!!..You have a lot done...you'll be riding soon..Mine is more like the other one..parts everywhere..lol..You probably know allready, but I really like "Silicon Brake Fluid" doesn't get condensation water in cylinders..The shims are a pain in the ass to get, but rarely need readjustment once you get them "right"..should be a great bike!..They are very dependable!..👍🗽🇺🇸
I'm really getting quite excited to hear it running now. I think we've got a handle on the shim now and I plan to get LOADS more done during the week 😁👍
Has youre a very knowledgeable fella..i have zzr1100 1998 ..its letting fuel past the needle on 1 carburetor..it makes it go on 3 cylinders below 2k rpm...any ideas
Inspired me to strip and clean my carbs, took a while to clean them with my little 3.2L ultrasonic machine, but got there in the end. New keyster jet kit and oe needles and it runs much better now, my Haynes manual illustration no good as well, did use the jet and screw order though
Would just like to say thanks for your content and your positive outlook ,you are inspiring me to push in with my zzr1100 resurrection.i think the speedo drive isn't in the right position?cheers
Its coming along nicely, should be up and running and fully fettled in time for the summer. The speedo drive just looks like its clocked wrong, pointing up too far. You might want to clean the paint off the master cylinders where the banjos go, don't want paint under the copper washers. I know you've got new gaskets for the cam cover but have you got new rubbers for the bolts ?
I need to fiddle with stuff and get everything just so before I call it done. Its silly things like the routing of cabling that I seem only able to.do.once everything is bolted in place, then it's obvious where stuff goes 🤣😂 Thanks for watching matey 👍
Thanks so much for making these. I'm fixing an old C model myself, but probably won't split the case as I don't have Jamie there to help. by the way if you see this what kind of grips are those under the bike around 23:37?
Thank younfor watching matey, it's very much appreciated and best of luck with your own bike. The grips are just whatever was on the bike when I got it. Its not a quick action throttle either and judging by the state of them, they could well be stock, but I can't say for sure. Hope that helps dude 😁👍
@@QuickBikes Makes sense, I think those original grips look better than new aftermarket, though mine might be too gummed up to use. Thanks and hats off to you guys for doing this!
Doing a cracking job mate, coming together quite quickly, if I can offer only one piece of advice it would be when you fit the fuel line from the pet cock make sure it has plenty lenth or watch how you rout it because you have to lift the tank quite high to get the battery in and out. 👍
If you use a small round feeler gauge, you can "balance" the carbs to quite a reasonable degree , plus-minus 20 odd percent ... this will put u in the ballpark and then when u use yr gauges ,,to finally settle them its a tad easier....... and warm those boots up they go soft and make easier to stick things in,,,orr eeer missus titter ye not
I normally use a cleaning pin for spray guns under the butterfly valves as its really fine and you can use it as a feeler gauge so it just drags. It gets you in the ball park anyways. I think I've heard of guitar strings being used as well... thanks for chipping in matey, m7ch appreciated 👍
I,m going to MOT about 2 weeks with the turbo-busa. I will pretend that its a zzr and that I have RUclips channel when I'm going there 😁. As I said earlyer, don't know what it is but I started to like a lot of Kawasakis.
I liked the kettle switching on, very subtle.
Very Dellish :)
🤣😂😅
Awwwww.... please don't say that 🤣
Coming along nicely, going at this rate you'll be good for Bideford Bike show next month
It's going well and coming together nicely. I want it on the road as soon as I can as the weather is definitely turning doe the better 😁👍
Fantastic job on the carbs Quicky, it's really coming along now. 👍
It's definitely picking up the pace a bit now with big bits getting done. Thanks for watching matey 👍

Hehehe.... a bike for the road will keep.me.a very happy man I can tell you. It's not going.to be long and I'll be back on ASBO in no time 😁
Very interesting, it looks like it's coming on. I'm late on catch-up, as have been away ... 👍❤
Oooooo we've been having fun in the shop matey 😁👍

Geddon 😁 👍
It's nice to know that everything is as it should be when riding a bike don't you think 😁
Did I witness a Del moment, fickle forefinger on that kettle. 😅
You did matey, I was wondering how many would spot it and comment 🤣😂

No worries 😁👍
Yeah, the problem with that gasket goo is you need to apply enough to block the oil pump screen in order to seal the mating surfaces 🤣🤣🤣🙄
Hehehe, very true matey. I won't be using it again in a hurry 🤣😂

Ah right.. Good man, thank you dude 😁👍
silly carbs installation question, how to be 100% sure you didn't confuse fuel lines with coolant hoses? Workshop manual isn't really helpful
The easy option with anything like that I find is just to label anything you're not sure you can remember. 😁
@@QuickBikes i bought the bike in pieces, unfortunately the previous owner apparently couldn't get arsed to label anything.

I swear if I hear one more giggle out of you im unsubscribbing. FOREVER!!!
