We bit info on the plastic path. When it was installed, there used to be a sign asking people NOT to walk on it. It was designed to allow the track to regenerate and for the vegetation to recover. Then it would be removed. Unfortunately, people constantly vandalized the sign. 😪. Think the NNP just gave up.
