      Alcohol is open shelved so customers can actually handle the drinks and bring them to the counter.

      lol, yes. The United States, a lot of alcohol is locked up along with detergents, shaving razors and much more. Practically need to bring a clerk along with you throughout a store to shop in CA.

      @@jamesabroadadventures381 travel more. In many countries in “the west” alcohol is on open shelves, and not even close to the cashier.
