That new skyscale skin with no tail is the stuff of nightmares, man!
First thing I'm going to do is set up my twitch with DTT to get the drops.
The nice thing about focusing on story and exploration first is that the XP that you earn goes towards those shiny new masteries too and cuts down on any grind to finish them out.

Not sure what happened to my original comment (maybe it was the link to the Anet post I included), but just wanted to mention that the open world legendary armor set is NOT coming on release day. You'll still be able to farm some of the materials used to craft it, but the set itself will arrive sometime in a later update.

Lack of focus is a sure sign of caffeine abuse
FIRST thing im going to do, is STARTING End of Dragons, but first i need to finish HoT, PoF and all the LWs i havent yet got around to, ive dipped in and out of all of them but not finished them yet, and not started EoD
Also havent done a Strike, Fractal Raid or PvP yet, but i havent done almost a whole hour of WvW and want to do much more
But hey, ive only played 1950 hours or so, so far, so early days
EDIT - That Skyscal Skin, isnt even fully joined together, its like bits of its wings are falling off as it flaps its wings, thats a big YUCK for me,I like my mounts to have their arms, legs and wings all fully attached
Mann i love how you play games 💯 "i dont like to be rushed" im crawling the content after my skyscale ill have content stacked up i.e long term gameplay.
Hey there "Caf'Dad" just in case you didn't know, when you were trying to take that camp in WvW you were getting wrecked by the main camp NPC having RI for it having recently gotten flipped. From the wiki-
" *Righteous Indignation* is an effect that *grants invulnerability against damage of all sources and provides a significant damage boost* . This effect is found in World versus World on any NPC guarding any objective (except for sentries) for 5 minutes after it was captured."
So yeah, the npc will have blue fire on them, an RI buff, be invulnerable and hit like a truck.
Legendary relic as of now earliest release day is 2024 with either 3rd or last major update with the expansion. Only thing Anet has confirmed is the earliest release is 2024
If you’re seeing this for the first time, even though it’s 3 weeks old, I would encourage people to complete their skyscale masteries first, as it makes getting around the maps a LOT easier and makes the rest of the masteries easier to complete. I didn’t complete them until last and then found myself panicking and scrambling for the more difficult last few mastery points I needed 😂😂
If you’ve unlocked Arborstone and its Mastery track, don’t forget to park your toon there before the expac launch.
The exp buff should help speed progression for the new Mastery tracks.
You get the same boost for sitting on a chair anywhere
@@RUclipsChillZoneyeah but the chair requires you to be afk in-game, whereas Arborstone you can long out and sleep and still get the buff. (Arborstone also gives a much longer time duration IIRC.)
I haven't even finished all previous story yet, but I'm getting there slowly. On launch I need to work, but will probs have twitch open in background for the free drops. 😅
That's what I'll be doing! RUclips doesn't have any cool partnerships like twitch though.....

After path of fire uncan JUMP in the Expansion. U dont need to Play everything.

I was wanting to hold off on crafting the underwater legendary rune until they improve underwater combat. But since they said you would get progress to crafting the legendary relic for each legendary rune crafted and I had the resources I decided to craft it to get the maximum possibly headstart.
They have said they will apply credit and progress for those who already have them. I think it'll be great for the long term but was a bit nerve racking at the beginning lol
I’m a WoW players for many yrs since BC and I’m tired I’m going to try GW2 really like the game play
For me I am going in calm and smooth, I am going to do it the way I do all expansions. Each segment of the story first and foremost. But the way I do it is, when the story puts me in a new zone I will also map complete the zone before moving on with the story. Once I map complete the expansion and story, I will start doing the metas more, while also knocking out achievements I need.
I have none of the expansions. Does Arenanet bundle all previous expansions with the new one for a discount? If possible, I’d like to buy them all at once for a cheaper price. Please advise, thanks.

Honestly I'm not sure, typically the new features are unlocked apart of the stories unfortunately. I'd say you'd have to do some of it to unlock those things
No, you will have to be at least in the expansion maps to earn something off it
@@Jasepo thanks , but i need a flyer mount for it i think and still didn’t finish PoF to get a flyer .. is this an issue ?
@@Nasser_SMJ that would depend how they designed the maps... For example in EoD everyone with a flying mount could move around, but, that was not necessary at all. EoD assumes you have at least the most basic mounts (raptor, bunny, Skimmer), and I "assume" that for the vertical currents seen in the SOTO trailers, you need at least the Glider.
Does anyone know “where I should be” when it launches? Like where are the new zones etc

mirage dagger/shield and eventually rifle is my goal, dagger was absolutely OP in the beta, so im gonna play the crap out of it till they nerf it after a week xD, then im gonna see if i can make hammer tempest works, because that was something people said was crazy strong too.

I am soooooo excited to use sword/warhorn celestial catalyst. I had a ton of fun with it during the beta testing. I also had a lot of fun with Longbow/axe torch Firebrand too!

I am a returning player who is starting over with a new toon. My account has the 1st 2 expansion but not EoD or the new one coming. Since I have a long way to go and never finished any of those stories, i should wait on purchasing this new expansion. Correct?
I think you should get it, get the skyscale then do the other expacs
It depends, the new expansion offers the skyscale, and later the new legendary items but if your hard pressed to learn the story and following along I'd say make your purchases chronological

For me it's update game, update game buddy,start twicth stream and mute it, log into main look at new daily/weekly system, do Soto story(prob😮2-3hours), map complete, skyscale mastery and Rift mastery, have dinner, come back after reset do jade runestones, zen daijun run, aether meta log off for night lol.
What armor is that in the thumbnail?
I believe that's all jade tech... it may be related to a gem store item tho
My main curiosity is "How many spoilers do I need to see to be allowed to explore the new area and work on the masteries?"
I'm far behind on story, I think I dropped off during the final chapter of LWS3 and so imagine my surprise when I'm trying to check out Cantha, but see a big spoiler just casually assisting me during the airship level.

i don't know what i'll be able to do. i left a while ago & just recently came back & have never finished all of the previous packs or living world seasons. i don't have any ascended or legendary gear nor all mounts; i have no flying mount at all! guess we'll see how far i can get soon enough. i'm still excited, though.
I always coplete the maps, vista hearts etc and leave the story until later as well. I might do the story first this time. I only ever play my Necro. This will screw with my head big time. I'll probably throw my toys out of the pram until I get it right.
That's not what "extrapolate" means. Extrapolate means to make a guess based on the assumption that a trend will continue. I think you meant "extricate"?
Im thinking of leaving the game as the last 2 expansions(Eod , IBS) were just bad and i feel that everything is just group play and i just dont have time for that, But i do wish everyone who is looking forward to Soto good luck and great fun.
