  • Nearly two months after Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio won a highly contested presidential election, Sierra Leoneans are still waiting for him to fulfill promises made during his campaign.
    Bio made promises of a better economy as Sierra Leoneans struggle with inflation.
    For more on Sierra Leone’s economy and politics, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Murtala Mohamed Kamara, journalist for Eyewitness News Sierra Leone.

    Our leaders of Africa are not doing well so they are blaming other countries for their poor performance.
