Chasing Gold Podcast: South Sudan face off with US basketball team, and more

In the first episode of Chasing Gold Olympics 2024, VOA’s podcast focused on the Olympic games being held in France’s capital, Paris, hosts Mike Hove and Muqbil Yabarow profile record setting athletes including Ferdinand Omanyala - the fastest man in Africa, U.S. sprinter Noah Lyles, and others who will feature at the month-long games.
We also discuss the U.S. men’s basketball team which experts have labelled “Dream Team 2.0” due its roster which includes NBA superstars Lebron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. They play against South Sudan, the only African team to qualify for the 2024 basketball Olympics, on July 31.
