@@huunwheels7378 so then when should you change the brake fluid? I heard you change it when you change brake pads. Can the brake fluid go 2-300k miles?
@@EatSleepTri hello Jason, yeah, it can go that much. For My cars, I normally do around 3yrs or 36k miles. Thanks for the comment . Good to connect with you 🙌🙌
Hi Alan, the one I worked on- brake caliper/cover bolts 37 lb/ft; caliper bracket bolts 80 lb/ft. Should be similar. Thanks for the comment. Great to connect with you 🙌🙌👍
You can find specific jack point in owner manual if you have one on hand. Or look under the car along the side skirt/the metal seam you’ll notice the part that stick down a little more on each side. That’s the jack points.
Thank you for this! Doing this job today on my fiance's 2016 ilx and I haven't done a brake job in 15 years. Much appreciated.

I’m glad the video is helpful Brotha 👍🙌
do you need to bleed the brake line in order to flush the piston back?
Christian excellent question! No, it doesn’t have to. The piston should compress without bleeding the brake line! Thank you for asking!
thank you very much for the help
Christian anytime man. No problem. I’m glad it is helpful. 👍🙌🏻

Are there any electronic wear sensors on the 2017 ILX A-Spec?
Hi MJ. There is no electronic wear sensor on 17 ILX. Only metal tab sensor!
Thanks for the video
How about the rare break pads 🤔?
Thank you ddrinh!. I’ll get my hand on the rear brake pads when I get a chance
Do you have to open the brake reservoir before compressing to brakes?
Hi Minh , You don’t have to. 👍 hope that’s helpful.
I'm doing mines tomorrow, so I don't need the C clamp I just brought?
Hi there, you can use C clamp to compress the piston if you have one.
@@huunwheels7378 okkk but your way looks way easier
@@imhere283 thanks brother. I’m glad the video is helpful
Use the plier as example in video is easier: )
What is the torque spec for the brake cover bolts?
Hi Alan,
the one I worked on- brake caliper/cover bolts 37 lb/ft; caliper bracket bolts 80 lb/ft. Should be similar. Thanks for the comment. Great to connect with you 🙌🙌👍
will this not work for '19 ilx? because that's what I'm driving.......
It’s should be similar, grab the concept and it’s interchangeable 😃👍
19 mm wrench or 14 mm wrench to break the ball loose?
14mm to loose the bolt. Unless the whole slide pin turn, then use one to hold and turn with the other one
do you know the exact torque specs for Acura 2017 ilx brake caliper as well as brake caliper bracket to bolt? or do you just go by feel?
sanitary103 thank you for asking. the one I worked on- brake caliper bolts 37 lb/ft; caliper bracket bolts 80 lb/ft.
Huu N Wheels last question: was this a 2017 model as well or different year? Thanks.
sanitary103 yes. It was 2017 that I demonstrated on.
Huu N Wheels much appreciated
sanitary103 no problem. 👍
Thanks 🙏🏻

You didn’t show the Jack points. Wondering where to Jack that specific model. That specific model’s jacking points. NOT generic jacking points.
You can find specific jack point in owner manual if you have one on hand.

@@huunwheels7378 👁👄👁 Oh wow. You’re amazing. Thank you so much! I appreciate it 💪🏽
Nice job resurfacing the rotors 🙄
FIY, It wasn’t not a complete brake job, David. It was demonstration for someone who likes to know how replace brake pad only
