Nothing about Smiles? (man-made) zoans, which are in Kaido's crew.
They do transform wierd though, so far in the anime only their hands, but still awesome non the less.
SMILES are going to be a separate video, for all the things i want to say about them, this video would have been twice as long.

You know Tekking, with the Mythical Zoans, it could be that the creature themselves don't exist, but the legends instead came about from encounters with ancient people with those fruits, and then the stories being twisted a bit thru the passage of time. Kinda like the fruit made the legend rather than the legend 'causing' the fruit.

I think mythical zoan transformations come from legendary creatures with magical abilities that only existed in the world once. So like there was only ever one phoenix thousands of years ago and while it was alive it's essence created a devil fruit with all its unique abilities. The key difference between a mythical zoan and an ancient zoan is that ancient zoan creatures were once part of a species rather than just one particular creature, and the methods for a mythical creature coming into existence usually didn't involve simple evolution. Rather you might have something like an ordinary bird that was given super powers, maybe through a mix of devil fruit powers. You know how there are some races like homies and zombies created throughout devil fruits? Well it would be like there. So maybe a bird ate the Flare Flare Fruit and then the Heal Heal Fruit user did something to it to turn it into the legendary phoenix.
That may sound crazy because it involves using devil fruit abilities to create new devil fruits, but I don't think there was ever a set number of devil fruits and I think certain fruits are actually connected due to how similar they are. So maybe for instance the Stitch Stitch Fruit was created unintentionally from the essence of the String String Fruit at some point. Hell maybe that's where Leo got the first Stitch Stitch Fruit, he ate it after Doffy had mastered the String String Fruit to such a level that it began producing new devil fruits based off the new usage of its abilities. So basically every devil fruit has the natural potential to create devil seeds that can lead to new abilities.
But what if bird phoenix is believed as a legend by ancient people?
Wouldn't be cool if Zoro's sword ate Marco's fruit. Then the pound Phoenix technique would be literal xD

6120 It also gives you the power of foreshadowing: you can say or do something that seems regular or normal at the time but with time it proves that it hold a bigger meaning. Like you can talk about some pirates that destroyed an island kingdom and show a weird guy at the bar of a pirate town and then prove to the world they were going to be emperors.
I still think Marco has the coolest fruit in One Piece.

While watching this I had a thought.They're fruits,isn't it possible to liquefy them and mix them into the materials of an object?The elephant-elephant fruit could have been crushed to a sort of liquid or paste and mixed in with the steel of the sword.Maybe the fruits don't effect the original materials of the object.

Something I feel like pointing out? You referenced the size changes don't seem to add up, with Chopper, for example? Some of the people in One Piece are goddam huge: White Beard, Akuma (evil lava guy?), Akoiji, Sengoku, 'normal' sizes do not seem to apply with this world!
Also: I don't know his age but I think Chopper is still a 'child' in terms of human years so maybe that's why he's still Chibi-fied in his normal form? Just a thought!

A couple things you could have covered:
-Do Zoan fruits really improve attributes such as recovery, regeneration, stamina, etc?
-Zoan fruit awakenings. Please cover awakenings when you go over Paramecia.
-Man-made Zoan fruits.
Another thing that I thought up when you started talking about it: Is there a human human fruit Long-arm/long-leg/giant model? What about a mink mink fruit? And what is up with the mink men? They're already half-person/half-animal, brings up some questions regarding their origins. Also, would be cool to see some more mink men zoan users making use of their base form + zoan form making some chimera-looking forms.

a Sea King devil fruit would be the most frustrating fruit to have. The only viable option in battle would be to jump over an enemy's ship, transform into a huge-ass sea king, crush those peasants and then miserably drown.

that's kinda how i feel about the powers too, but Demon might really come into play with the fruit powers. and i view the typing like a Venn diagram. and when it comes to zoan transformation i look at it like a slider between the two creatures, and they can actually use whatever amounts of each they can figure out how to use. like when kaku was experimenting with his power.

Also, I'd reason to say, when it comes to the balancing out of 'weaknesses', the fruit only adds, and never detracts, meaning; When the Fruit's animal is smaller than a person, the don't shrink, but when the animal is larger, they get bigger.
Same for the hybrid snake form, being warm-blooded is more beneficial, so she stays that way in the hybrid form at least.

No, that was the Horse fruit. He didn't have a mythical fruit. That was why there was a running joke that the fruit was pretty useless since the bird was already big enough to ride and since it can fly already, turning full horse or part horse wouldn't help much. So at least that means the Unicorn fruit is still out there if it exists!

Everyone always talks about how a water water logia fruit would be super op. Has anyone thought about the possible existence of a whale whale fruit though? Not only would he be even bigger than Jack, he would have a massive advantage in water, which is what most of the one piece world is made of. The user could easily change into a blue whale, jump into the water and sink a ship with one blow. If you could talk about other possible ultra powerful zoans that would be much appreciated. #ZoansHavePotential
I forgot to mention that these whale type fruits would have to allow the user to not be negatively affected by sea water.
I doubt Oda would design fruits that way. So far it's been pretty constant that all devil fruits have that weakness. The only aquatic zoan fruit we've gotten was the Axolotyl, which was a type of salamander fruit and which was probably just created to make Smiley look weird. Zoans already have lots of potential without bending the devil fruit rules. Even with the OP mythical zoans aside, the regular ones give a significant power boost, have various forms, and combined with haki can make a pretty serious threat even in the New World.
Obviously taking the drawbacks away from an ability would make it strong....

Chopper are the Human Human Fruit, but he can not turn into a full Human form. Other Zoan users like Kaku or Jyabura or anyone else can turn into full-animal forms respective of their own fruit types, but Chopper can't do that for some reason, interesting...
Well it's ALMOST a full human, like 98% or so. It's just that extra fur on his body that threw me off

My thought of "hybrid" is it was an intermediate form blending their normal and zoan power similar to when logia users make only their arm elemental but their body remained normal. The hybrid being their first thought of how they'd blend. Chopper's rumble balls allowing him to reconfigure which attributes from both sides to blend.

Human brains have become denser, but also function better. We have slightly smaller brains, but are also smarter. Better functioning brains do take more energy, which means we need more food, so there is a slight downside, kinda irrelevant in modern times though.

6:27- before the ace age and all that stuff happened, there were two species of human, an earlier version of us, and Neanderthals, chopper sort of looks like a Neanderthal. They were actually larger than us, and because of that, they also had a bigger brain, so it would’ve been likely that they would’ve been more intelligent than us if they had survived up until, however, their larger size also made them need to eat more food to survive, so when the ice age hit and food became more scarce, they couldn’t find enough to feed themselves and they ended up going extinct. Maybe that’s why chopper has the neanderthal sort of look, but also the massive intelligence boost, because that type of human would have a larger capacity for knowledge, and be more intelligent if they had access to what we know now, it would also give a reason for him being a lot larger than the average human aswell

@tekking101 as you have mentioned - "what if other devil fruits be infused into objects aside from the zoans?" i also thought, what if the sword of Mihawk is in fact has a devil fruit, like a "slash-slash" fruit to make a starting point.
When you do paramecia next, can you make sure to talk about Baby-5's weapon-weapon fruit. It's supposed to be a paramecia, but she can literally explode and reform her body. That kind of "healing" should only be possible with logia- or Marco's phoenix?
As stated, Zoan devil fruits can unlock forms with training, it's not a chopper only thing, for instance, Marco can do partial body transformations. The thing with chopper, is that through the rumble balls, he was able to achieve more forms faster
I actually think Zoan users can make additional modification to their shapes without using Rumble balls or any other drugs.
There were at least 2 cases of that.
1) Rob Lucci was able to make his hybrid form smaller during battle with Luffy to increase his speed, sacrificing strength.
2) During second part duel with Zoro, Kaku was able to shrink his Neck in hybrid form.
I think Rumble balls was able to enhance Chopper ability to manipulate his forms, so during timeskip he trained to transform without usage of Rumble balls.
It may also be that different forms is sort of way of awakening of Zoan-type fruits, like Chopper Monster form.
I think i read somewhere on the zoan wiki that the hybrid form of the user and the fruit combines the senses of both of them, also I think the reason the hybrid form is always so big is because it combines the mass of both species. with bigger animals significantly increasing the users size in hybrid, while smaller zoan fruit animal spirits dont increase the size that much

I assumed/theorized that the way Zoans work, is when you first eat it the fruit basically finds out what you want and helps you achieve it. If you seek power, your hybrid form is built for power [ex. Dalton], if you want pure lethality you get speed and claws and heightened senses [ex. Lucci] but if you're Chopper and all you care about is intelligence and seeming non-threatening to make friends.. you get... an adorable chibi beby!
In my mind, Chopper just wanted to be accepted.. deep down in his soul! His fruit gave him a cute and intelligent form with a cute voice, something only a monster could hate. The Hybrid form in my theory would also evolve with you and continue to suit your needs and Chopper evolved to want to become a doctor. So he named his hybrid form 'Brain Point' and his head slowly got bigger and bigger... I'm not even joking.. in my headcanon, his change in design is because his brain got bigger to suit his uses.
That's just my own theory though.
Also, I always figured that Chopper always reverts to his Hybrid form instead of his reindeer form under stress is because to him, that is his true form. In his soul, that is Chopper. Human enough to blend in, have useful human traits and dexterity for doctorin', but enough reindeer traits to feel like himself and feel comfortable in his own skin.
I'm sure there might be some Zoans who feel more normal as an animal and maybe revert to animal form when they get knocked out. I think that the Zoans are based on change and evolution and they evolve with the user and change and adapt to whatever their will and desire is.
That's why the Zoan is my favorite type of fruit, its the most versatile and interesting to me.
