As I was alone, dying of COVID, I could faintly hear this song in the hospital coming from someone's radio. I have 12 sisters, 10 brothers-in-law, one set of twin sons, and a set of twin grandsons. My family was not allowed to visit me and I was too sick to care. Somehow this song got trapped in my brain, over and over until it just stopped me from the will to die. Music is the lifeline that Jesus reached out to me with. I am still here and I keep searching out this song when I start to feel down.

But let me say this - I saw James live when I was married with 3 beautiful young daughters and sadly I was in a horrendously violent marriage. My daughters now are 26 (she’s about to have her first baby, with her wonderful fiancé) My middle daughter is 22, living abroad with her wonderful partner and my youngest girl is studying her 4th year in law. They all remember the bad shit but somehow this album brings them good memories ❤️❤️❤️

This is what a true artist is all about, Spotted busking for change, signed to a major label, not your typical marketable artist image wise, yet has that pure, raw and genuine talent that can sing a song from the heart and you have no choice but to relate to it and have to listen to whether you want to or not. Very few acts can get the message of a song across like this and this guy and he nails it.

This was one of the songs that accompanied me during a year of major heartbreak when i had to push someone who i had deep feelings for completely out of my life. Learned to let go when i finally understand how some things just can't be. There's no use in trying when the pieces don't fit anymore :')
I'm there now. We were engaged, but we broke it off coz the pieces literally didnt fit. It's only been a few weeks. It's going to be a long road to healing isnt it
@@LS-cf4qz This song was part of the soundtrack of my greatest heartbreak back in 2007; I though I would die. Then came Leona Lewis "Better in Time" and the time passes by and little by little all the wounds were healed. Now I'm happily married to a wonderful man.

There are very, very few songs I wish I had written but this is one. It's an out and out masterpiece. James' delivery is so raw, so real, so passionate, so desperate, so authentic, so touching. It's what music is: pure emotion, pure expression. To me it's one of the finest pieces of songwriting I've heard this century. Quite exceptional. The progression, the lyric, the music, the vocal delivery...Everytime I hear it it reaches me in the exact same way. That is musical magic.

On top of it his record label dropped him. I hope one day he will be right back up there where he belongs. He is a phenomenal artist.

I was browsing albums from an external hd I hadn't used in years and was going through the tunes when I came across JM's debum album and this song which I haven't heard since it was released six years ago - suddenly dawned on me the last time I heard it was in my car about a week before I broke up with my ex-gf and how it summed up exactly what I felt at the time, I was just parked up at college and sat in the car in a daze listening to it.
