Hey Matt! Thanks for the watch! I have two new seals and a new carb I’m throwing on soon in hopes to get it to stay running. I’ll try to get some better shots in that one.

I'm trying to find out which way the seal goes in? Factory markings facing out and the metal spring inward?

Why did you take the cylinder off ? Can't you change the seal with cylinder on ?

Did you update the clutch assembly and the magnito on this one? The bike I just picked up for my son looks just like this but those parts are different and I can’t find a magnito anywhere

Nice video m8. What happens when this part goes off ? Because my KTM s5e 50 ccm runs fine on normal road but when need to go uphill it kinda losses all if his power. I changed piston and rings, and new clutch and i dont know what could be issue.

And do you know if these engines have reeds in them and will this engine run better without them the guy that gave me spare parts to my bike handed me the plastic reed valve but it didn’t have any reed diaphragm on the plastic housing he told me it was the restrictor and that if I want to slow the bike down put that plastic reed looking thing back in the bike.

No reeds. It’s a direct injection from the carb into the cylinder. Franco didn’t use reeds until the s6 model I think.

Would you have any idea is to why my s5 engine bogs out after running for a few min? Also do you have any spare parts for this engine are you selling this one by chance?

Video is definitely helpful though I wish parts for these engines were more plentiful. as I didn’t know after spending 1000 dollars on a bike that uses the s5gs engine

Thanks for watching and subscribing! I have found a lot of my parts on eBay but yes, they are very few. I have a small box of reserve parts but really nothing of value. You should join the “morini Franco, lem, malagutti” Facebook group. Lots of euro parts for sale on there. Thanks for watching!

Btw thank you for your response I know I’m a little late but If I may ask I’m having a hard time figuring out where the crankshaft shims go I know they go in the crank case but exactly where and how many I am supposed to have has left my sons bike sitting for two years now. if you could possibly give me some help I’d really appreciate it . these crankshaft shims are rare and the engine diagram says 5 but the engine I got only has 4 so if I may ask what is the side to side play in the crankshaft and what is the tolerance the washers or shims at these thin washers are 15mmX 22X 0.4 mm any help is huge . Thank you
