What are you showing is actually the opposite of tension called compression.
“In material science, the opposite of tension in a flexible material is compression. Tension refers to the state of being stretched or pulled apart, causing the material to elongate. On the other hand, compression refers to the state of being squeezed or pressed together, causing the material to shorten or compact. These are two opposing forces that act on a material and can affect its mechanical behavior.” Laxness, laxity, relaxation, looseness are similar terms.
Well in wrap/ppf science we use “tension” as a general term to describe the resistance of a material to go a certain direction. true tension and compression would likely be sun categories of this is we get all technical but there’s not that much thought to it. good to explain to someone new though as though we use it to describe all types of material stress and can typically tell based on how the material acts, separating types of tension could definitely be beneficial to a beginner🤝

Not really, its pretty intuitive. It makes sense not to gather and concentrate all the material into one spot. Rather you gotta spread out the pressure/tension over a wider area

PPf films are ridiculous on a $40k car.
You can put PPF on whatever the hell car you want. It's the same thing as someone putting a case on a cheap Samsung or older iPhone, they didn't put it on because it's super expensive, but because keeping the the outside safe from scratches feels good, looks good, and holds the resell value.
Most people just don't put it on because they don't care or have the money to spend on it, and those cars are not going to be as clean and pristine as this one.
Depends on the car. If it’s rusting after a while and the frame is looking sketchy it’s basically junk. Or spend the little extra money and resell with basically like new paint bc of UV protection and rock chip protection. If you do that and clean your undercarriage as part of regular maintenance washes, you’ll make great resale value and avoid spending money on another car for a long time. Buy less stuff, save lots of money.
