- Despite the last video actually having good reception, Ray came back to the Topic of Six Flags Magic Mountain's long awaited Giga Coaster, to see what it would be like if it happened for the Final Episode of Season 5!
Viper is a top tier mega arrow looper, I would hate to see it go. Overall fantastic video, I love your intro man I got to start taking notes!
Haven't even watched the video yet but that epic intro was enough to make me subscribe.
The cover of Coaster World magazine in 1981 declared "Mega Coaster Rises," with a shot of the huge first drop of American Eagle under construction. It opened as the world's tallest & fastest wood coaster with the largest drop made of wood. Immediately problems arose and persisted for a long time. Record-breaking coaster are lots of trouble. Will parks never learn? Another giga coaster is a huge mistake. Size & speed does not a good coaster make. I'm a wood coaster hobbyist, and I'm glad you seem to like Apocalypse, with the question during your intro "why does no one talk about this?!" My first time was a year ago & it blew me away! In 2 days at Magic Mountain I managed around 40 rides on this amazing GCI.
Viper is HERITAGE ! Don’t touch it !
Why all coasters need to stand alone ? Give the Gigantic some interlocking, make it intertwining…!
Your intro could be from a 1980s sitcom. Keep up the interesting and defensible takes, quality footage and editing, and good humor
Viper must stay. maybe it could be relocated but no way should it be scraped. its to historic at this point.
Worst case scenario give it to SFA right next to Batwing and throw in the Vekoma mk1212 trains to make it more comfortable.
As much as I like viper for the charm, I’d cast my vote to axe it for a giga in a heartbeat. Maybe focus on improving training and ops first though.
How about the first ever giga dive from B&M and kill two birds with one stone? 😂 we can dream…or how about a giga version of Raging Bull…the first giga twister model…that would fit….
As much as i want a giga, I adore Viper and i wouldn't want to see it removed. Its my top 3 in the park, it soooooo underrated.
I don't think Mack is the only option, or even the best option. I'm pretty sure Mack is more expensive than B&M. I mean, look at carrowinds. Fury cost 30 million for 6,600 feet of track, and Copperhead strike cost 26 Million for 3,250. Some of that increased price is due to inflation and the rising cost of steel, but Carrowinds paid nearly twice as much for every foot of track of Copperhead than they did for Fury. So even adjusted for inflation, I dont think Mack is cheaper than B&M. Also, I dont think an RMC T-rex is out of the question either. SFMM likes to put out first-of-its-kind rides, and Wonder Woman is a very different experience than a T-Rex. Rmc would also easily be the cheapest option, and we all know Six Flags loves cheap coasters.
When are you gonna show where it could go, you just kinda transitioned to a viper showcase (5th best ride in the park btw)
Downvote because Viper is awesome
Roaring Rapids *SUCKS* and always has. Kill RR and build that giga where RR stood.
