Between being named cassie, being attacked in the bathroom, throwing feminine products while saying "plug it up", her being on her period, her spending time in a closet, and her mom being a religious zealot I thought it was annoying and overly uncreative. Like 95% of it is just directly from the book and given a little twist.
But I think it's so cool how the same concept can have different impacts on different people. I think it really shows the diversity in the Alter community and I love that❤

the only issue is they got the concept of satanism a bit mixed up. however it was a very good premise nonetheless. and the acting was fa beyond anything I have seen in a full-length multi-million dollar horror film. absolutely stunning work for sure!

@@bluelava4282 oh absolutely. there is no doubt in my mind that this was way better quality than anything Hollywood has to offer. they spend far less money and come out with such brilliant concepts, plumbing the depths of the human psyche to create works of art like this, where Hollywood spends millions of dollars and still fails to elicit the screams. I can honestly say that watching this film I was very drawn into it. I have never been this engaged by any sort of full-length horror film. It as engaging, terrifying, and downright chilling and I absolutely loved every second of this film. you'll not hear me arguing with you on this, that's for sure. it was amazing quality.

klondike316 by the definition of a witch that we generally go by (1600s New England kind), I’d argue they could be considered satanists as they serve the “dark lord” and sign over their souls in return for powers and immortality. I do want to state that I don’t believe such witches ever existed.

This was very meaningful to me because the true fear we all have is that the we might be bullied and must resort to other lengths to defeat those who pose a danger to us. That and our inner demons.

I really loved this short. It's like a mix of Carrie and some old 70's italian terror movies, Argento etc.
The kitsch and overdramatic effect really belongs to those old gems.

Definate shades of Carrie in that bathroom scene in the beginning! 😱 *EDIT!:* Now that I finished the film I was coming back to comment on how the whole movie was a modern retelling of Carrie! THEN I happened to read the pinned comment and saw that thats just what this was intended to be! LMAO! But it was a good flick.. definately not one of my favorites, but certainly not the worst! Its probably because Carrie is such a classic it's hard for me not to draw comparisons. But, I loved the ending! I was thrilled Momma got it in the end.. 😱😯

The bathroom is a place that filled me with horrible memories. I remember watching when I was a kid at the movie theater (Bride of Chucky). I saw half of them go to the bathroom. The huge bathroom has dim lights. I am the only one standing in the long corridor. At the end, I stood for a while, gave up peeing, and held back to the end of the movie!
I loved how real Cassy is... Sometimes the one who loves you is the one who gives you pain too.. too much love=hate...
The mom didn't love cassy. The mom was just trying to control cassy to fulfill her own desires. The mom is abusive. "Too much love" does not "= hate". The desire to control others "= hate".

Very odd short film but interesting. I give it thumbs up because it kept my interest not knowing the outcome in the end and it wasn't predictable. The plot was good with a twist in the end.

Excellent story and acting. But not the mom. Her acting was too artificial. Still this short is definitely much better than the remake of Carrie. And also an excellent ending. Again another jewel that proves why ALTER should be on the subscription list of every horror fan.

Such a good short film! There are still times where I worry about going to the bathroom (even been stopped once, thankfully I knew where another was) and I felt Cassie's pain so much! It's really hard to forgive people who treat us like this, but she had a lot of inner strength. So glad I found this!

People call me the bathroom troll at my school because I hide in the restroom during all of our free periods (lunch, study hall, between classes) and I just stand in there. If it's someone cute I might try to sneak a peak through the cracks in the stall. Yes, I'm gay. Yes I've been caught and beaten up. But I just feel safe in the bathroom. I can't be social.
