This was great. You should do it again but have a little bit more time dedicated to you searching through the cards, scrambling around with what your thought process is.
Yeah, the MTG channel LRR did some 20$ local game store challenges in which they filmed them rifling through bulk and brainstorming decks in a heavily edited way so you get a sense of the ideas and decks without getting completely spoiled what quirky stuff is in the decks.
@@animalchin5082 yea it's because the magic channel is led by former pro players/grinders/people who have been doing magic as a job for years while the ygo channel is done by a bunch of casuals
Surprised there hasn't been a judge call over minor infraction halfway trough the video/s Jokes aside, it was lovely to meet you in Birmingham and the video is incredible as expected.
Calling a judge on a fan was not on my bingo card for the weekend, but either way, it was nothing personal 😂 Thanks for watching and happy card gaming! -Taylor
I'm a magic player who tried getting into YGO (played D/D/D and Supreme King for a few months) and quit due to the insane power creep, abnormal learning curve for each archetype and constant bad matchups against tier0 and tier1 decks. This video showed me a very fun side to YGO. Was very fun, looking forward to future videos.
In yugioh's defence, D/D/D is known as the one of the hardest archetype to pilot correctly. The deck is somewhat decent because of the link 2 as long as you're not competing at a high level.
Well ya know there’s lots of fun ways to play the game if you don’t want to be competitive. Drafting like this is a lot of fun. Speed Duel boxes are also going quite cheap if you want a sealed environment.
I can actually see (and read for some) the cards here. thank you guys! so many yugioh channels just assume we know all the cards being played or dont want to see the pictures.
This was a lot of fun, and it's great to see a spotlight on some lesser-known, low-powered cards that don't bring up the same old conversations about the dreadful state of the game. Great content!
... This very much feels like somebody just picked up a box of the sorted bulk commons and sent it to these guys without unsorting it. meaning all the archtypes are in a row ready to turn into decks. Kinda cool in a sort of pauper kinda way, but the tenpai really stole the show for both decks. It was cool to see the modern rogue agents on display though, Like Conbirdable.
The idea is great but you had no part on searching cards and seeing the brainstorming behind your decks? That's where a lot of the fun is. Disappointed 😞.
If possible, I would really like to see a video with 2 Yugioh Pros (like Joshua Schmidt) teach actual modern Yugioh to 2 Magic pros (Thoralf and Andrea Mengucci), where one pro coaches the other, then the 2 MTG players play a bo3 match with what they learned. As well as the reverse on the MTG channel with those same MTG pros teaching MTG to the Yugioh pros (I would suggest Modern or Pioneer since they would be more interesting formats than standard). It would be fun to see top level players get a feel for what the other game is actually like.
nice! this is fun! great job cardmarket yugioh! fun deckbuilding and deck-playing from 1000 random cards! feels similar to a cube or a draft from mtg! lots of yugioh fun!
As an idea for a similar video - a mini-tournament or something where you pick one set and can make a deck using cards from only that set, the caveat being the more recent the set the less time you have to construct. Not sure if it's a good idea or not, but figured I'd throw it out there. Great vid regardless, though!
Me and my friends do this too. we just go to the local dollar store and get $20 worth of cards (150 cards), and we duel with what we have. My friend almost had a full tearlaments deck, and another had a Kirshtaria deck.
Is there any way to make a series similar to "Best Deck Ever" but for YuGiOh, like having the top meta deck from each year pitted against one another, or would the newest deck win far too consistently? I think having a tourney of games would be really cool no matter how you would pull it off, or what kinda decks you would include. Also, super fun video!
Ah, the age-old question of old school vs. new school... It would probably be like bringing a sword to a laser fight 😂 Thanks for the suggestion! -Taylor
You could do it as an series and have the Card Marchet guys pick for you? Idk how itd make sense gibbon the 11k+ cards, so like, choose all the cards from like 10 concurrent sets?
I don’t mean to be that guy, but yall were playing those Tenpai cards so wrong, cool concept for a video but as a Tenpai player it very much bothered me
i was just thinking for fun, and what if you guys at cardmarket yugioh tried playing yugioh using decks inspired by the commander/edh format? what i mean is that instead of a 40-60 card deck, you guys can play with main decks of 100 cards, and there will be only 1 copy of each card in the main deck, extra deck, and side deck. that could be quite fun, and deck construction would be interesting, whether it's a 100-card deck of 100 unique cards that all synergize with each other, or a simple combining of different 40-card tier 0 decks with their own engines, and sort-of have a deck with different archetypes and engines running in the same deck.
We actually just bought a 1000 card bulk pile for each of us on the website, not knowing what would be in them. They were mostly cards from the last 1-2 years. You can get them here www.cardmarket.com/en/YuGiOh/Products/Lots-Collections/Maxi-Collection-Up-to-1000-cards - Johnny
The boxes were 1000 random bulk cards purchased from two different suppliers on Cardmarket: Both boxes had a decent amount of x3 copies of cards stacked together, but I can assure you that we did not know what was in either box before we started filming 😊 -Taylor
Check out the Decklists or buy 1000 random cards to try this challenge yourself! bit.ly/3MP98FG

Agree! The selection process would be so fun to see

Flip support from recent years albeit mostly packfiller is super fun to play.
I like how you show what every card does.

More duels with packfiller junk pls, there's so much potential with these cards that most people don't even know exist.
Would like to see the deckbuild process
Taylor is a good'n . Was worried the new host will be not so fun but this is good moving forward, yippee!

2:02 For a moment I thought Yugioh cards were powerful enough to summon magic Planeswalkers because Chandra is also fire-type ...

You forgot ken and gen MUST return to hand after the battle phase
Man reading is hard... 😐

Personally i love the flavour of thousands of mega cute animals merging together to summon a nightmarish archfiend xD

Just found out this is a thing and I have a good feeling I'll binge a lot here
we need more of thesde challenges
those are thhe best videos i swear

Im pretty sure it's gonna end in a tear vs orcust/zoodiac or jsut a tear matchup
Do it with some pre eratta cards to make it more intetesting. 😂
Lithium does that on his channel. Check it out, it’s quite good.
Such a wholesome fist numb at the end.
Random decks are fun, but what are your main decks that you live and die by?
Tbh was hoping things would be a little bit more "janky". Maybe some alt win-con decks could be cool for a one-off.

You should invite jesse cotton to the next episode
They're across the world.
That thumbnail goes crazy

Yugioh but the duel is in a single Attribute!
Protos boutta go crazy

You should do this with people that don't know how to play.
Wait a minute, these are real cards!
I expected Hyosube-type of shit.
Did you see my decklist, Taylor.
Johnny is so wholesome
Thank you! 😊

Woo! Flips!
LETS GOOO FLIPS!!!
MELFFY MENTIONED
Man, so many missplays.
I get the impression this box of 1000 cards wasn't quite as random as we are led the believe.
me too. almost like they faked it
weird

Magic player: First time?
I don't understand. This game lasts more than 1 turn. Is this even yugioh?
God forgive you
They should try to build decks without any archetypal cards
