Ostinato is a one card first darklord + full lancer: Ostinato combo for bacha and 2 refrains, link bacha and refrain for condemned DL, discard one to get superbia, xyz for ghostrick mischief and get shot from deck, concerto using mischief, condemned and superbia for first DL and shot for mischief into armor fortress. I discovered this when i was building Darklord despia and mischief turns out to be an incredibly good way to go into the armor fortress line. I love these new melodious cards, they’re so good for rogue decks. Enjoy the combo and splash it where you can :)

This is what I like to see when playing yugioh. A deck with where at least 20 cards are from the archetype, and an Extra Deck with with 10 or more of the same. It represents the true objective with which the archetypes were created at the beginning of Yu-Gi-Oh, and it is more fun to fight against something that has cards of its archetype on its field plus one/two monsters outside of it, than competitive decks where they abound the generic monsters and there is almost no representation of what the deck supposedly has in its name.

I found making the Other fusion really good in these situations (as schuberta barely does anything in the matchup) since you can just tagout your entire board besides her and they dont have the ressources to now go into the samurai XYZ and kill you (to out the fusion).
I'm really excited for melodious. I plan on playing it with the supreme king cards when we get both in master duel since the deck does need electrumite to work well.

Decks just fall off due to popularity but they re so strong in the right hands.

Even if they don’t archetype lock you, they should have some type of restrictions or soft locks like salamangreat and marincess getting attribute locked by their best starters, or branded being fusion locked. sometimes the power level of an archetype is so close to being competitively viable but because they can't benefit from the support cards that they really need to push up the meta like salad without princess 😭. If chimera locked themselves only into their archetype they would be almost unplayable even though they have 1card starters they don’t have enough gas or power ceilings solely in their archetype to play without illusion/fusion support cards.
What I've been saying is that one card combos are perfectly fine on their own, and that the real issue is the end boards being filled with broken generic monsters they all have available. Melodious is a perfect example to prove this claim. As long as the end board is actually fair, it really does not matter if you have several one card combos in your deck that each end up playing trough like 15 cards. The problem is and always will be what you can actually make with those combos.
No. The problem is if every one card combo in your deck ends on a 12card board. Because at that point it doesnt matter if I handtrap you 3 times as long as you activate that one bonifre, SNash etc its over over for me and I start with 3 cards less in hand or even 0 if they rip them with omega. 1card combos are fine if they and on lets say 3 interactions and the rest of the hand is flexible.

yes and no....generic card/monsters is what Yugioh is made of and part of what makes it fun for a lot of people, unless you want a rotating format like in other games, and therefore the problem, most of the time, with a couple of exceptions, is the fact that new engines (full of one card combos) give you too much card advantage...like too much, one card can give you mor than 10 cards in advantage, which in turns with the amount of cards available in the game, let you, inevitabily get access to insane boards, and that Konami cannot predict the outcome of because of the sheer amount of interaction they would have to test out before hand to prevent it from happening.

Pure melodious looks like it never bricks and plays through a bunch of handtraps.

I like the Melodious stuff in the Z-Arc deck. Feels good to have the ability to get scales and interaction off of one card
