What a crazy close game. It's really one of those when one micro mistake could've turned the tide to the other side. Really shows how important all small decisions are in the end.

True! CoH is all about big decisions, small choices, consistency and a sprinkling of RNG. It's what makes CoH games so great! :)

Great game really! I noticed how you decided to push quite a few times through the middle even if there was a poorly supported very heavily damaged sherman on the right. Was there any reasoning behind not hunting it down with a stug at first and a panther later? At worst its a sherman v stug trade which in my opinion would at least slow the rifles trying to cap the right/north VP. That tank ended up harrasing you multiple times and shooting into the side armor of the stugs and helping control the VP. I’m trying to learn what are worthwhile trades and especially if I control more of the map I tend to happily trade away some units to keep VP pressure up.
I’m not too happy with the patch myself since it has led to brutal axis dominance. Both my US and Brit records have eaten dirt while I feel Wehr and DAK are easyer wins at the moment. The matchmaker is always 80% in favor of them. I find pio flamers egregiously overtuned and have faced them grouped and spammed as a stall untill stugs and pgrens. A vetted flamepio can basically 1v1 a vanilla rifle.
Personally I’ve been trying to develop the double pathfinder into mechanized/with airborne that you did a few videos ago. If I stall out well enough 2 shermans first and then a 76 upgrade is crazy good. They really shred infantry, there is a repair station and can deal with most tanks given some help with a paradropped AT gun.
Again! Thanks for the vid I always learn a lot!

Thanks for the feedback! I agree once the Panther came out I should of kept it more on the north/right flank because it can navigate that space well but the Stugs excel in the mid/south of this map as it's more open and linear (front armour will always show). I kept moving my Panther on the southern side of the church which in reflection could be improved upon.
Part of the reason I kept on pushing down the center and left/right is I did not want to become overextended, which can easily happen on Pachino if you spread over all 3 VPs. This is compounded further with my Stug based army composition which is more immobile. If you notice almost all game my stug/pak40s are interlinked to protect each other. I am consistently looking for triangles of overlapping fire factoring reverse distance which is attainable due to the narrow map lanes and Stug high frontal armour. Considering my VP deficit situation of ~100VP to 450VPs, I made the choice to consolidate my forces around mainly two VPs.
Hotfix is on the way, so keep your head up! :) I've got another nail bitter game on the way with the USF 2 path 76mm Sherman build. I definitely make use of the AT drops when I see/hear a Brummbar on the horizon. Stay tuned in a couple days for that game! :)

glorious game comrade, it does kinda make me depressed that even after such a close match no one typed gg or wp or anything...( you did but he quit by then) its the epitome of the player base is just so.... i like talking to my opponent or being like "yea that move you did wrecked me it was awesome, lolol." etc, but most people just take it so seriously they cant relax and just appreciate the experience. ultimately it hurts the player base if people care more about winning then just appreciating the great moves you/ your opponent did to one another, in such a evenly skilled matchup ( sorry for rambling love your videos they taught me a lot! i also find it refreshing you almost lost for a change lol.

Chat is off by default now, so maybe he didn't want to spend time going into settings to fix it when he realized it. That's pretty much what happened my first game in this patch.

I like talking to my opponents after games as well. I've always done this in real life sports like chess and soccer. I feel it's a great way to reflect, have fun and learn for the future. The chat being off by default has definitely made the game quiet. I think I've said my usual 'glhfhfhfhfhfhf' in 30 games and only got a response probably 5 times, significantly less than what it used to be.
I'd say the majority of people have decided to keep chat off. Also be mindful some people hate talking after game as they deem it as a waste of time and would rather the opponent to just leave. Some people value their own time more than a shared experience with a stranger, either way don't take it personally if people behave as such, it's just different preferences. Not to mention there may be a language barrier.
