I remember the very first trailer for this(2017). It's just a bunch of scenic shots, and says "From maker of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter"...then they pull out a gun. "And also Painkiller and Bulletstorm"
oh shit, i remember that trailer but had no idea what game it was for. legitimately amazing fakeout, making you think it was gonna be a walking simulator lol.
I think that abrupt change got me since I already knew The vanishing of Ethan Carter is a walking simulator and so far what I thought was going to be this game already looked interesting. After that, it got even better. I hope when they implement the full story we can get the best of those type of games.
Reminds me of when everyone saw the horse in the gamecube game trailer and was like 'eh... ok horse game I guess' then it zooms in on Link riding Epona and he pulls his sword out and the crows goes crazy
Tried this thinking "Eh might be ok." I was wrong. The foundation is SOLID. Guns feel good, runs aren't an hour long with waiting, no forced online, and most importantly doesn't run like dogwater. It's good and I look forward to the full release when they're ready.
Hello Vinny, the creator of Destiny here. I know we all like to think we're in control of our lives, despite the fact that everything is preordained. Though I hope that it won't discourage you from striving for a better future! Also happy Beetlejuice Rusty Cock Day!
Talk of Extraction-types being the new trend made me realize something: When's the last time Vinny played a garlic-like? Is that "Survivor" genre still in its peak and Vinny just moved on or has it slowly died off? Also lol at the 10/10 delivery of "I don't have thoughts."
There are definitely some good ones still in development! Death Must Die, Deep Rock Survivor, and Army of Ruin are a few to look forward to. The older ones (including Vampire Survivors) still get updates too, and Nova Drift recently hit v1.0.
The genre truthfully just doesn't have a ton of substance. Most of the games are dirt cheap to purchase and develop, and it definitely shows. Death Must Die is probably the best of the bunch and even that gets repetitive rather quickly.
The Bible verse is real! Micah 5:10-12 New American Bible (Revised Edition) 10 I will destroy the cities of your land and tear down all your fortresses. 11 I will destroy the sorcery you practice, and there shall no longer be soothsayers among you. 12 I will destroy your carved figures and the sacred stones[a] from your midst; And you shall no longer worship the works of your hands.
I've actually wanted destiny gunplay in a game that's actually designed to be played by humans and not slugs in gamer chairs so I'm picking this up as soon as I can
💯. I’ve just commented on this. The animations, SFX, sound cues, level design. It’s nothing like doom. It’s like it was built by a bunch of pissed off Bungie devs 😅
I hate when game devs just stick two words together into a new made up compound word. It's fine if they're two separate words but I always get a little annoyed when they make it a compound word. It just feels like the pretentiousness of a one-word title combined with ease of being able to use 2 words to describe your game. It feels like skipping the second step where you're like 'these two words perfectly sum up the premise and the vibe, how do we make it into a proper title?' and the CEO's son is like 'I got an idea...'
There being a "Unstuck" button implies the developers know fully well that their game is very 'sticky' and would rather add a button to 'unstick' than to simply take the time to 'mop up'.
I'm sure they will mop up over the course of development. A quick fix option is a great temporary solution, especially when every update could have unknown bugs.
@@mrdawg340 It's early access dude. Unforeseen shit can happen. Better to give the player a way to keep themselves from getting screwed while the game is still being made and ironed out.
That's only the base gameplay format though. It's like saying "seen one run-and-jump platformer, seen them all" There's plenty of room for unique mechanics on top to add nuance.

The fact the trailer started that way and this game actually turned out better than I expected is so cool

...not a fake bible verse. that's real.

Need more single-player roguelite extraction shooters
honestly? im down. i feel like they could get fucking crazy with pve
I was thinking of that the other day. Its got huge potential as long as the combat is good
disagree.
I would check out Sulfer it's coming out in october it's a single player extraction shooter but looks like adventure time
Have you ever played roboquest?
"no we're not leaving yet" he said, having no healing items and surviving the previous encounter with nary a hair remaining on his melpert
16:27 The way this stained glass is designed and illuminated is honestly insanely well done
for someone called sphynx they're getting asked questions a lot.
1:50 I guess you could say he's "on a mission from god"? 6:41 They used a page from the Voynich Manuscript, nice.
Heard Binny and chat talking about Beetlejuice and watched it just now for the first time in 20 years. Still holds up ❤

happy beetlejuice rusty blop day
This is what this game is? Ohhh boy, I might need to play this.
Not really a fan of rogue lites but eh I do like me some first person schūt games so if it comes to console I’ll get it.
I'm glad to see so many games nowadays based on the GAME over anything else
Games is based
This feels like a first-person Remnant 2. He really should check that one out too some day, it's got some really cool stuff in it.
What if the game was just you awkwardly entering people's houses and dragging them out to be burned at the stake. Like cookie clicker but really slow.

Man this has come a looong way since I last played it. And it was fun then already.
Fantastic Cedric impression

I'm glad the world is healing. 5 Years ago an artist got harassed online for drawing a cute anime girl with a knight helmet saying "deus vult"
Really? That's so dumb
The classic witchfire first launch experience, your frame rate dips to negative 50 on the title screen

I'm still surprised Vinny is using 1080p instead of 1440p or 4k

It’s more doom

it's actually a real verse, but your descriptor still fits.
Thats an actual bibleverse vinyot
Beetlejuice Rusty day
Witchfire? What a ridiculous title, you can't mix those two.
I'll have you know they had them existing all the time in Europe.
This game looks like it would be pretty good once you get used to its tough difficulty, though it might push away newcomers who get frustrated
Anyone know who the narrator is? Kinda sounds like the Crackdown guy
She framing on my rates until I 144
Y'all know Vinny is meant to be on a strict diet of bad games at this time of year 😡
Played way to much Borderlands that AR sound sounds SO stock I realy hope that at least get changed.
Was thinking that myself, hope they can flesh out the audio before launch

How odd, I just got an urge to replay this today. Just dot done with a session, and I come on here and see Vinny playing. O_O
Decenterd aim is best you see more sky and less pointless ground. If you play enough FPS you would know this is only a good thing.
lol. giant waffle
Brah, is this made by a group of disgruntled former Bungie employees 😅😅

I'm sure they will mop up over the course of development. A quick fix option is a great temporary solution, especially when every update could have unknown bugs.
As every manager knows, developers and designers are all possessed of unlimited time, and any glitch in a game is simply the result of laziness
take the time? it's early access, they're literally "mopping up" right now, dummy.
