I love that even though the house will be torn down(which makes me sick) you are so respectful of shutting lights off and closing doors behind you. I absolutely hate when people destroy these abandoned homes.

Yep, blue colors were still popular in the 80s. My mom had me paint a room in her house sky blue in 1982 when I was a teenager . You're almost always spot on in your dates of things. I'd totally keep the original style of any house I lived in, from any era. I'd keep the brown cabinets and tile. I would not get rid of the wood paneling.

Thanks Ethan, for taking us along on this explore. Sweet house. It’s definitely what $$ looked like in the 80’s. It’s truly a shame that this one is going to be gone soon. Congrats on being so close to a great milestone. You’ll be there before ya know it. ✌️

Love this house from the 80’s! I was a teen then . Loved that era. Every room was spot on. Makes me so sad to see it go. Thanks for letting me see part of my past again. The good times😊keep bringing these houses to us please. Your greatly appreciated. Yes and I think you would be a great realtor. Probably seen more real estate then most at your age. Loved the French doors! The staircase was beautiful! Seems like such a waste to demolish this place 😞😰😢 Thank you Ethan for the revisit… I appreciated it all the more, this time around 👍🙏💕 Glad that you are there with Big Bankz, love him too 👍🙏💕 Congratulations on your success…you deserve it 👍🙏♥️

17:03 that’s what we call a sunroom with Saltillo tiles. Did flooring, walls & countertops throughout the 80’s, in exclusive neighborhoods, never ran across any shag carpeting after 78. However, I helped an old high school friend out with his parents’ estate last year, & his old bedroom was covered entirely in dark brown shag carpet - I’m talking wall, built ins, & ceiling, & in absolute perfect condition. It was like stepping back into 1973.

I'm surprised that this house was built in the 80's. It had more of a 70's vibe for me. I'm thinking that the nice bedroom at the end opposite to the master was perhaps a mother in law suite. And, the fireplace down in the family room was an air-tight fireplace insert, which meant that it was meant not just for ambiance, but also heated the downstairs pretty well I imagine. My parents had a wood stove model that was exactly like the one in the video. Thanks Ethan! And, hit 100,000 before the end of the summer!

My house was built in 76 and has that exact same intercom system. Early 80’s houses can be funny as the transition from the 70’s was taking place, some 70’s look still available but making the change to 80’s style. When I was in college I cleaned houses and cleaned one from early 80’s it was a strange mix, of some 70’s colors and finishes and then some 80’s. I felt it was because an older couple built it still liked the 70’s colors but also mixed in the new 80’s style. Amazing the basement not flooded I guess that’s a sign of better build quality?

That’s a really nice house. With only a few minor adjustments I would live there in a heartbeat. Love the floors the large living rooms and sunroom and nice kitchen and staircase etc etc. love the blue bathtub. Some day I will find a way to outwit one of those crazy developers. It would give me great satisfaction to restore a beautiful home like this as opposed to letting it be demolished. Nice that the basement was not flooded. My kitty would love those large windowsills in living and dining rooms. I always prefer real fireplaces to fake gas ones. Do they damage the environment much? After living with the effects of smoke from wildfires the past week or so I wonder. Thank you Ethan for this fun revisit. I like these nice clean houses although sometimes it’s fun to see a few things left behind. Take care be well and stay safe!

Blue did become a force in the design world in 60's/70's (in America, it saw a resurgence in 1976 though generally a darker shade than we see here), but it was still lingering about up until the mid eighties. Fixtures like this are cool. They represent a time period where new construction didn't have to be various shades of neutral. In my parents house (built 1980) the master bath was blue with toilet, sink, and tile matching. The other two bathrooms and kitchen had the same tile floor but in harvest gold, which matched the toilet, sink, tub, and all appliances. This was back in the day where builders put in a kitchen phone for you too and my parents phone was harvest gold to match the appliances.

    Hi Ethan
I don’t remember this house but I do like it very much. That master bedroom was huge
and the bathroom was nice. I told you a while ago that you should look into becoming
a Real Estate agent. You know a lot about house and you know how to show them.
There’s good money in real estate.
Also learn whatever you can from BigBankz because he knows a lot. He’s been all
around the world. I like his videos too.
This house shouldn’t be demolished. I didn’t see anything wrong with it. Just
needs a good cleaning. The builders in Canada are so wasteful it’s just disguisting.
Another great video Ethan. Stay safe and well.😊👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice place Ethan, a bit dark in the dunge i too can imagine the cars that that Garage would of housed. This is a True Mansion keep going by your revisits some of the mega houses and mansions you have shown in the past might be on the same along lines of Drugs, Divorced, Departed or Death. There were two interesting mega mansions in the past that had indoor filled-up swimming pools i wonder how they are faring just a thought. A Boarded up place its ok a bit dark but an abandoned place that is not boarded up and not graffitied are my faves.

Blue fixtures in the bathroom were definitely not a thing in the U.S. IN THE 1980's. Canada wad apparently behind the time's. A friend's house built in the 1950's had the only blue bathroom fixtures I ever saw and this was in 1969. Our house was built in the 1960's (California) and had all white bathroom fixtures. Just had the colored oven and stove, our house had Brown 🟤 and the next door neighbors had turquoise and some had Avocado green.
