This is why now when you watch average NBA coverage from 1991 on to now you don't see or hear about the Pistons in HOW they played and what they did from 1987-1991, they only show them losing in game 6 and in game 7 vs. the Lakers or vs. Boston in '87 in game 5 or game 7 and they never show game 7 of the 1990 ECF or how the Pistons dominated the Bulls from 1988-1990 with a 26-9 record -- they tell the story vaguely but don't go into detail and they also don't go into all those great regular season Pistons' games the Pistons won during their championship run and climb -- you have to find those but they don't put it on NBATV or ESPN or Hardwood Classics, they only show Detroit losing and there's a huge reason for that and it's Jordan propaganda.

Jordan Skilled: Every player in the era of the 80's and 90's had skills and was very athletic, you couldn't get on the court unless you were skilled and athletic; it's just that some players were more athletic than others but the ones that weren't as athletic had tremendous skills. As athletic as Jordan was, he couldn't beat Detroit from 1988-1990, he failed the test 3 straight years and only won when the Pistons' scorers didn't shoot and their coaching staff didn't play their front court major minutes, then the Pistons broke up their team in the summer of 1991 by Pistons GM, Jack McCloskey waiving Vinnie Johnson and trading James Edwards to the Clippers -- those two guys had skills. Detroit went from an injured team trying to 3-peat going to 4 straight trips to the Finals, still winning 50 games making it to the ECF in 1990-91 to not having Edwards/Johnson being healthy for 1991-92 to only having 48 wins and getting beaten in the first round to the Knicks -- that's the impact (skill) of Vinnie 'The Microwave' Johnson and James 'Buddha' Edwards.
1991 ECF: Isiah Thomas took just 9 shots in game 1 and only 9 shots in game 2; Bill Laimbeer took just 7 shots in game 1 and only 2 shots in game 2. Joe Dumars took just 10 shots in game 1 and only 10 shots in game 2. Chuck Daly played John Salley only 9 minutes in game 2 while playing James Edwards only 11 minutes in game 2 and just 9 minutes in game 3. The Bulls had a 117-76 foul shot attempt advantage from games 1-3, so even if both teams shot 100% from the foul line, there was no way the Pistons could have won the 1991 ECF.
