If I'm Edwards, I'd be working on these things at this point: 1. Conditioning. He wore out in the Playoffs, late. It was his deepest run. He'll learn. Part of conditioning is diet. He admits to eating poorly. Change that fact. 2. Workouts. He admitted to missing some workouts. Have the Kobe mentality and go hard, every time. 3. Post up Isos. Teams started to loosely double team Ant in the Playoffs, and did it early in a set and way beyond the three point line. Go off ball and in the post, spread the D, and make a quick decisive move. 4. Off ball. Too often he is standing in a corner. Watch old school Reggie Miller or Curry now. Yes, different skills and players than AE, but he could put a lot of pressure on teams in this regard. I have a feeling he's saving up due to #1 above. 5. Decisiveness. Know your spots and read the D quickly. The ball and offensive pace can stall in his hands. Go quickly, decisively. Even watching Team USA, he's been good, but the ball sticks a bit too long in his hands. My favorite player. Excited to see him grow.
Sometimes he trusts his team too much. There are many times when I'm thinking why didn't ant take the shot, or, why did he take the shot with so much time on the clock. As a Timberwolves fan, he's still got so much room to grow it's crazy. Both offensively and defensively he can still improve, and like the video days, each year he DOES improve which is crazy. Where is his ceiling? Is he ever going to regress? He hasn't shown it yet even in Olympics. Even with LeBron Steph Booker embiid Tatum AD and everybody else, he's still sticking out like he's the best player on the floor. Only person who's looking better than Edwards on team USA is AD.
I’ll never forget getting into a heated debate with one of my home boys at the start of the 21-22 season after I showed up to school in my new Ant jersey. I’ll never forget how hard capping he was for lamelo. Good times fr
He’s one of those guys where his stats don’t do him justice for his impact. Not like they’re bad but he brings a certain type of energy that needs to be accounted for. As a wolves fan I won’t let down the Anthony Bennett comparisons when he got drafted. Times have changed greatly.
One thing I’d like to see Ant improve on the most is his passing. If he learns how to pass out of those double teams and use his leverage to get his teammates open…. Bro I don’t even want to think about it.
The only people that consider him overrated are just hating for one reason or another, or are new to basketball and don't understand how much better a 2-way superstar is than a one-dimensional scorer. Not to mention he might be the most clutch player in the league at 22yo in terms of elevating his play in the playoffs and important moments

Continuing to improve as a shooter, and becoming elite in that midrange area with pull ups and floaters is going to take him to another level. Adding a post game like MJ and Kobe would be insane, the sky is the limit. It’s up to Ant to determine how good he wants to be
@@mikeypikey2743 I really hope he plays out that 2 year extension and proves he can hang in our already deep rotation of bigs. I think he has the offensive skill already to hang in the league, its just if he can develop the defense to a point where he isnt unplayable vs opposing bigs.
