I am starting as a first year 7th grade science teacher in August! This video was SO helpful. You are super organized and have implemented some great ideas. Thank you!!!
I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science. I started last year in January and I love seeing other science teachers room especially in middle school. I love your hot seat! I have a focus seat and it feels good to know I'm not the only one
That's a better looking classroom for 7th grade science than what I had in 7th grade. We never did anything in 7th grade science except watch videos. It was Earth Science and I got B's in the class, but it was easy to get B's in my junior high science classes like Earth Science and Life Science because all we had to was remember what we read. I remember in sometimes we were even allowed to look up answers in the textbook on tests. There was no decorations of any sort in those classrooms for science. The walls were bare. The science classroom in the video looks more like the science classrooms we had in high school. Our junior high science classes didn't have sinks or counters to do labs on. The high school science classes did.
@@ajdaily3676 that's fantastic. Its a beautiful classroom in the video. After seeing these videos, I think my school may have been a bit disadvantaged 😁😁
Thank you for this video! This is my second year teaching and first year teaching 7/8 Science. I especially appreciate your organizational methods, student-minded decor, and your Root Words in Science wall! I am absolutely borrowing that great idea- thanks again! I also love the Focus clock. I subscribed, of course and look forward to checking out more of your videos.
This was so helpful! I’m also going to be a first year 7th/8th science teacher starting in August! Thank you so much! I especially liked your organization of the lesson goals on your white board. And I loved the set up and organization of everything!
Elizabeth Vidot so glad it helps!!! Another idea to save some white board space, you can utilize a bulletin board if you have one in the class or create it on some empty wall space! Best of luck , don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
I would love to see your lab notebook. Im a new 6th grade science teacher and I have an idea in mind but not sure how to make it happen. Id just love to see yours as an example because I love your table of contents idea.
