- How to reshape your acrylic brush like it's brand new- When doing acrylic nails your brush is your number one tool. So it's important that you keep it cleaned and shaped so that it will always work well for you.
As you use your brush you will accumulate acrylic in the brush hairs and so you need to always make sure when you are finished using your brush that you clean it thoroughly. This means that there is no acrylic build-up in the hairs.
But cleaning your brush is not enough. You will need to also periodically reshape your acrylic brush too. This is because as you use your brush, over time the hairs will lose their shape. The more you use your brush the more it will lose it shape. By losing the shape I mean that some of the hairs will start to fray . So you'll need to reshape it to get it working like brand new.
If you have brushes that you think are beyond repair, follow the steps in this video to clean and reshape your brush to where it's like brand new .
My favorite acrylic brushes: amzn.to/2GjxDdF
All of my brushes have hairs that curl outwards after I used them, even though I clean them a lot during the making of the nails and after as well.. any tips?
🤯 me rn because till this point I’ve thrown out so many brushes from where they just get so ugly
Thank u so much u just saved my 5 new brushes .. wish I saw this vid before ordering 5 more 🙈💫 new subscriber here 👋🏽
Girl same😏🤗🤦🤷
You can never have too many brushes.
I was wondering about this too. I can't see myself throwing out a brush. I'll find some use for it. The link didn't take me to the brush you recommended 😕
Sorry about that the link is fixed. Thanks for watching.
OMG!!! Are you serious???
I followed the steps you gave and it WORKED!!! I saved my favorite brushes.
YOU ARE AWESOME!!! ❤
Glad I could help! Yes when we fall in love with our fave brushes we got to save them. Thanks for watching.
Well thank God I'm not the only one who can't throw away paint brushes. There's always a use for old brushes, especially if you paint in all different mediums.
Because I’m about to buy new brushes
This is awesome! I have a couple brushes that have really kinky hairs from where I tried to scrape out acrylic when I first started. I was thinking about trying to use my flat iron on lol
Lol. Thanks for watching.
I just used a flat iron on mine and it didn’t work 😂🙈
I just laughed from deep down inside😩😂😂
i was pondering that idea too😂😂
Thank you for telling me how to reahape the brushes this really help be bless
You're welcome thanks for watching.
I am following you thxs for this because my cousin is jealous of me bad she went to my house and l do nails and mess up my brush
I can see where the soap comes from and I'm trying it right now. Because I use the soap brow technique on me and after the soap sets dry it ain't budging. The brow hairs stay there all day. I can even feel my brow hairs stuck on my forehead as I lift my eyebrow.
Thanks for sharing!!
When you say soak what exactly do you mean. ? :)
I let my brushes sit/soak in the acetone so that it can dissolve the hardened acrylic.
New Nail Tech Success how long do they need to soak?
Lilian Lilypad until soft to gently pull acrylic out of the bristles
This is so helpful! Thank you for the tips! 😍
Hi I did this with the clear polish and when I came to taking the polish off it made my brush bristles very hard and stiff ?
When you remove the nail polish then rewash the brush with mild dish soap and thoroughly rinse and shape back to a point. Could be there was some left over monomer liquid in the hairs.
I ordered the Pana brush and after the first use it looks like Bart Simpson’s hair 😭😭 even after cleaning and everything, and it soaks up a LOT of monomer for me 😔 I sooo wanted to love it especially since paying close to $25
Wow. I'm sorry to hear this. I've never experienced with Pana brushes. What size did you get? If the brush is doing that you may have been sent a bad one. You may send it back and then try and go down on the size. Hope this helps.
I got the size 10, I’m going to try to “train” it in the shape it is suppose to be and hopefully that will work
so helpful! thank you
You're welcome thanks for watching.
Thank you for all of the great info you provide. Hope you enjoyed your Birthday!
Thanks Diane I sure did and you're welcome.
Thanks for sharing this video; do you prefer Pana to Kilinski? Thanks again xx
Rita, please help. I am really struggling with the acrylic beads. It's always extremely runny and while busy with the fisrt nail my brush starts "flaring" out and then i must get another brush. So while I am busy with a client, i yse about 3 brushes....
Kindest regards and best wishes

Hi Rita. You can practice the liquid to powder ratio for your acrylic to fix this problem. Here are the videos. Thanks for watching. .ruclips.net/user/videonCh6USFhyzQ --prt 1 ruclips.net/video/ENIwNOXQAiw/видео.html prt 2
Thanks so much I really needed this method because I almost threw a 26.00 brush away!! Thanks again!!
You are welcome, Madison. Glad it helped!
I thought I was gonna learn something here.. You just say let it soak......... Soak in what though u are not helpful 🤦🏽♀️
You soak the brushes in the acrylic liquid (monomer ) Sorry I didn't say that in the video. Thanks for watching.
@@NewNailTechSuccess thank you was wondering too...
She clearly said monomer she soaks her brushes in MONOMER
Thank you so VERY much for this video!
Be blessed!
Kindest regards
God bless

Same to you. Thanks for watching.
Great Video
After one use on my new brush it messes up I hate it
What polish for you use to put on your brush?
It's just regular clear top coat
@@NewNailTechSuccess regular clear coat polish or gel without curing?
Hi, what number of size of brush ?
Soak in what?
In the monomer liquid. Thanks for watching.
I cannot get my PANA brush to come back to a point 😔
Sorry to hear that Summer. You may need a stronger top coat to keep the hairs together after you clean the brush.
Wait but wouldn’t the nail polish dry and mess it up more
No it doesn't the clear polish just holds the shape until you are ready to use it . Then use non acetone polish remover to take off the clear polish. Then rinse the brush before using. Thanks for watching so sorry for the late reply.
Thank you so much ! I have the same purple pana brush that you have! First brush I ever bought and I thought I ruined it but this video saved it thank you! Stay blessed.
You are so welcome! Stay blessed as well.
Needed this, thanks 💜
Thanks for wwatching.
What is nail polish "partner"? Regular top coat?
Yes regular top coat thanks for watching
Very informative. Thanks
Thanks for watching.
Please the nail polish primer is it base coat or there is a difference?
I use top coat because it's seems thicker to me so it will really stick the hairs together better than base coat in my opinion. Thanks for watching.
Wow!
My brush keeps messing up. So do I have to do this all the time? My brush just keeps messing up 🥺
This is happening because your liquid to powder ratio is not correct. These videos will help with that. Sorry for the late reply.

New Nail Tech Success thank you so much I will try it next time I practice again. It’s okay as long as you responded. Stay safe and thank you! 💖
Hi if you dont have nail hardener what can you use
If you don't have nail hardener. Just coat it with mild soap or dish detergent. Then rinse before using. Thanks for watching.
How often do you reshape your brush? I seem to be constantly doing it. My brush is a good quality brush. But I tend to get way to much dried acrylic not just at the tip but deep inside as well
If you have to do it often this means you are not getting the product ratio right, Practice this and you shouldn't have to reshape your brush often.
@@NewNailTechSuccess thank you
Can you use assotone ro get rid of clear coat?
I wouldn't use acetone use NON ACETONE. Acetone will eat your brush.
SO NAIL HARDENER FOR REAL ? Will my brush still work
Yes it will and have a perfect shape.
New Nail Tech Success I tested the waters thank you for the info
You should try the Ma Cherie acrylic brushes from Vita Cart!
Thanks for the tip. Thanks for watching.
My brush is still messed up and it’s my second day of use it
Hi Leslie, when you say your brush is messed up do you mean acrylic keeps getting stuck in it?
New Nail Tech Success I have fixed it when I saw this video. I waited a whole day to use it again. No the problem was that is kept creating big gaps in the middle and I couldn’t even pick up a single bead but it’s all fixed up now thanks to you! Stay safe and keep up the good content!!💖
I have some brushes that's to thick. Rather than throw them out, is their any way to thin them out
I have some that are too thick too. I tried once and it didn't work out because it was uneven and made my acrylic application uneven. So I just bought a smaller brush size. Thanks for watching.
@@NewNailTechSuccess one more question. I pinched some brushes to tight. Is there anything I can do to fix that?
Wait soak in what acetone or monomer?
in the monomer.
Your the best. Luv u. Diannà St Louis, Mo oxoxox
Thanks for watching, Diana!
How long do u let it soak in the monomer ??
Let the brushes soak until the acrylic is removed from the brushes. Thanks for watching.
This is really helpful! Thanks for this video I’ve been looking everywhere for this
Glad it was helpful!
Can we use clear top coat instead ?
Yes you can. That's what i used in the video.
What nail polish u use ?
Just some dollar tree clear. Any clear polish will work. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for this video much needed 🙏🏽
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching.
thank u so much
You are welcome.
Thank you very much! New sub!
You are welcome thanks for subbing!
Thank you so much for this video
You are so welcome!
Thank you!! I'm going to do this💕
Wonderful!
Omggg thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu
You're welcome thanks for watching.
Do we soak it in acetone or monomer???
In the monomer. Thanks for watching, Mary.
I missed that to. First I hear “soak in acetone” then “some like to mix acetone and monomer” and “all you need to use is monomer” 🙈
And nail hardener? Is that regular nail polish top coat? I got more questions then before I watched this 😅
Amazing thank you
Thanks for watching.
Cool.
Thanks for watching.
What do you soak the brush in
Hi I soak the brushes in the liquid monomer. Thanks for watching.
Thank you
Thank you!
Thanks for watching.
🤩 gracias
Your're welcome thanks for watching.
Soak in what cause i have tried it in the Acrylic monomer
Acetone works fa me
Trust me all you need is the Acrylic monomer. If it didn't work I would try more monomer and soak longer.
Can I use any clear polish after cleaning to coat the brushes?
Yes you can I use the cheap kind for a $1.00.Thanks for watching.
Can I use clear polish instead of hardener
Yes, you can I actually called it hardener but it's just clear.
Do you soak them 6 hrs in acetone or monomer?
Sorry for mix up its I said acetone but it's the mnomer.
What do you soak them in!???
You soak the brushes in the acrylic liquid (monomer ) Sorry I didn't say that in the video. Thanks for watching.
Could u do a video trying to make acrylic press ons or is it possible u kno how ppl make different sizes of press ons or a video to direct me to -anything 😭😭😭plz
Your reviews are the most informational I have watched . I have been eying Mia secret and i am almost sold . But have you tried the organic acrylic or the NSI I would love your opinion on them !
Hi Nila that's a good idea for an acrylic review thanks and thanks for watching.
I order one of the brushes. Can't wait to try it.
