We explore the reasons for which your suit may have a shoulder divot. #suits #shoulderdivot #tailoring #tips #fashiontips Website: suitablee.com IG: / suitablee
working on your posture and building a great physik would probably be the best long term way to avoid this issue. Until then you basicly have 3 options: 1.: Magically find a brand whose of the rack suits fit your bodytype (not impossible but harder for some than for others) 2.: Only buy bespoke suits (Will work the best but, the price will be quite something) 3.: And that this is nothing I was able to confirm but in theory removing the padding from the suit/buying suits without shoulder padding, should allow the shoulder fabric to align with your shoulders more easily
I have issues with divot on only one shoulder. Left side will fit well but divot on right side. Assume this is an imbalance that can't be resolved outside of custom/MTM?
If you look from behind, it could be that one shoulder is sloping more than the other. You would need to change the patterning of one of the shoulders.
I got this problem too. My tailor told me that my shoulder should be reduced by little. If I make the shoulder more narrow, does the sleeve also get shorter?
This is a fantastic explanation of the problem
VERY informative. Thank you.
Great video
Great video!! Very well done and explained.
Thank you so much!
i find a shirt sleeves with large bicep widths cause this problem on light weight suits.
I don't even know this is a thing, I immediately look at my pictures to see if my suit had shoulder divot or not.
How to overcome this
Is there a way to fix the shoulder slope issue? I think that's the issue with my jacket. It's driving me nuts.

Very rarely is it an issue with shoulder width. Usually too tight at bicep. And yes, reduced shoulder = shorter arms
@@SUITABLEE one more question, is it possible to use the same measurement of our dress shirt to make suits?

Can it be fixed? Thats the more important question
The base of the patterning is wrong. It’s a bad foundation. So it’s almost impossible to completely fix.
