Great Amtrak Adventure Denver Colorado to Emeryville California

While waiting to restart the Great Loop, I began a great Amtrak train adventure. Stopping in Emeryville CA to visit Pixar and Glendale CA to visit Melody Ranch Studios.
Left on Amtrak’s California Zephyr Train #5 from Denver at 8:46 AM on Saturday morning. It didn’t take long to enter the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The train is divided into three main parts - First Class followed by the dining care than an observation car with general boarding cars at that end. During the trip over the mountains, we traveled through many many tunnels and wound along the river. Riding a train is one of the most relaxing forms of travel out there. There is plenty of leg room, you can get up walk around, no TSA, no huge crowds pushing your around. As you relax the gentle sway of the train can rock you to restful sleep very quickly.

I agree you picked some really perfect music for your trip.
It looks like the train is practically empty.
The pictures are fantastic and green with envy have always wanted to take that damn train ride somewhere in the US so now you’ve got my spirit soaring for travel again.
