People who use window AC units on their C-Dorys usually mount them in the center front window. This does require getting a unit that will fit, a lot of 5K and 6K BTU units will work, but you need to pick the correct one. Mine fits in the window and is placed there when needed. You can't really run the boat with the AC in the window though.
Thanks for the input. Right now, I am not planning to place it in the window. That would mean removing my compass and other things. I don't like the idea of lifting it up and attempting to fit it into a small space for the evening than removing it in the morning. I'm working to keep life on Foote Loose as simple as possible. My other thought with having the AC in the door will allow the air flow to move more freely into the berth,
Another C-Dory channel "Jim's Florida" has his A/C front window mounted in a very practical and efficient manner. It shouldn't be hard to find..... Love your clips. Thanks.

Mount/laid it in back door on floor and go get an old white refrigerator door to fit the opening it has insulation in it already, take off the plastic side and screw thin plywood over it..
