    This is 100% accurate. I just had my Model Y at a Tesla service center today for same issue.
    It was a bent liftgate hinge that needed replacement.
    They replaced and I am good if not better than when I received from factory.

    Redesigning the hinge is only treating the symptoms. Tesla really should send power to both struts thus reducing the amount pressure needed in each strut to open the tailgate.

      It cost money you know. The most important thing for Tesla is to pump out vehicles, the cheaper the better.
      Quality?
      Naah. Not important.
      Guess why radar, sodar, stalks and that went away?
      Soon they will remove the seats except driver seat and have a "Premium package" where "Seat included"...

      @@Xanthopteryx Hahaha so true. Tesla quality AND service is so bad, its laughable. They'll make you come in 5 times and hold your car for 3 months if they have to until a part (in my case a little plastic clip) comes in.

    They should really offer electric power strut retrofit for the other side of the trunk.
    I don’t get it, the trunk is so massive on the model Y, I really don’t trust this strut a lot on my Model Y.
    Especially since on the new Model 3 refresh they added a second power strut they should really retrofit it on the Model Y.

      The issue is happening after the hatch is used many times. Mine was perfect out of the factory. 3 months of use and it’s out of alignment. I did adjust/realign mine myself in about 2hrs at home.

      @DerekDavis213 2 месяца назад

      @@MarsPLAYStudio I will tell you why they are so bad.
      Tesla factory workers in California are not union workers, and their pay and benefits are not enough, for the very expensive cost of living in Fremont.
      The factory also has a toxic environment, and there have been lawsuits concerning racism at the factory.
      China and Germany treat the workers better.
