Stevie will never get over the fact that she destroyed the personal relationship between her and Lindsey Buckingham and she’s going to make everyone else pay for her mistake. I like Stevie, but without Lindsey she would never have achieved the fame that she did riding his coattails.

Stevie Nicks ruined such a fantastic band. She should have been fired after "Tusk." I find it funny that each time Buckingham is out of the band, he needs two replacements.

@@MichaelNoland-TheBottomLine Michael, sometimes I like your videos, but usually, I love them. This one, I loved. Stevie Nicks is the PERFECT example of somebody getting credit for somebody else's work. People who don't understand music have no idea that Buckingham was the musical GENIUS behind FM's sound during his time there. People worship her for some reason, but the truth is that she hands in some lyrics (that her inflated ego thinks are brilliant; they're always overwrought and often ridiculous) and a few basic chords to accompany them, and Buckingham does EVERYTHING ELSE. While listening to their music years ago with my young children, especially her songs, I'd say things like "Do you know why there are four guitar parts in this song? Do you know who made up ALL the catchy guitar riffs that tie this song together? Do you know who created, ENTIRELY, the harmonies in this song? IT WASN'T STEVIE, kids! THAT is Lindsey Buckingham, and he'll get no credit from the band's fans." She ALMOST admitted as much, saying something about turning over her music to other people and trusting that they'll make a song out of it. Yes, Stevie, that's how it works. You hand over some simple crap, and Lindsey (especially), John, Mick, and the producer turn it into something COMPLETELY different from what you handed in. "Gypsy" comes to mind, but it goes for every piece of her music. This outsized worship of her "talents" (why do people love that bleating voice?) has irritated me for close to 40 years, as has this God-like worship of her as a person. He might not be the most pleasant person in the world, but this has nothing to do with that. He's a GENIUS, and a PERFECTIONIST, and is solely responsible for her success. And if anybody finds that statement ridiculous, they know nothing of the couple's or band's history, and nothing of music. And Mick Fleetwood is a slimy, backstabbing monster (in several ways, including a serial cheater) who has allowed Buckingham to be kicked out of the band even though Buckingham saved Mick's financially (and morally) bankrupt a** more than once. Anyway, thank you for the bold take, Michael. I enjoyed "Say You Will," but would've preferred more music. I saw the documentary in which Buckingham's idea for a double album was voted down. Oh well. Too late now.

I thank Stevie for helping me with klonopin addiction. I was taking it as prescribed, but I started to like the way it made me feel more than the way it could help me. hearing her stories about how bad it was I stopped taking it before things got really bad. thank you Stevie.

Stevie Nicks is the Don Henley of Fleetwood Mac!!! And for the record Christie was much more important to Fleetwood Mac than Stevie Nicks!!!

This video is inaccurate. Although Stevie thought that a double album wouldn't vibe for the younger audiences at the time, she still was committed to doing what Lindsey wanted. She even contributed 10 songs, which contradicts her fighting the double album. Ultimately, it was the recored executives who said no, not Stevie. Her and Mick even commented on the Destiny Rules documentary that it was sad that the double album fell trough in the 11th hour.
What this rant is coming from is an old man who is angry that Stevie didn't want to work with her abuser anymore. Lindsey has beat her, choked her, slammed her down against the car, and even threw her to the floor. He mocked and kicked her on stage during the Tusk tour. Mick, John, and Christine have all confirmed Lindsey's abusive nature with Stevie. Yet somehow Stevie is the bad guy in this.
To make matters worse, Lindsey also abused his girlfriend that he had after Stevie Nicks. Her name is Carolann Harris. He repeatedly beat her as well. One time he was so abusive that he caused her to miscarry their unborn child. You don't have to take my word for it. Carolann wrote a book about it. If you don't feel like reading it, a simple google search will do.
Don't get me wrong, Lindsey definitely is a musical genius. He's a talented guitarist and producer. He took Fleetwood Mac to new heights and always knew what to do with his, Christine's, and Stevie's songs. However, he is still an abusive piece of crap. Stevie had every right to be done working with him. But you are mad because she should have shut up and taken the abuse.
Let me guess, you feel the same way about Ike and Tina Turner?

We need to stop demonizing Stevie Nicks because whether you and Joe Sixpack want to admit it or not there would be no Fleetwood Mac without her witchy mystical enchanting ways. I know everyone will be parroting your view on what a horrible loss it is that no double album exists because of bad old Stevie Nicks but the reality is that many of these folks would try to get a free download and won’t be attending a concert. I take comfort in your talking about a double album because it is a throw back to my youth so thank you for that walk down memory lane,

🤔 Say You Will has 22 songs. Tusk the double album has 20 songs. So… and yeah she destroyed the relationship, not the man that beat her and there’s record accounts of that from several people including Christine. The man who tried to be so controlling and not tour after a tour was booked for tango in the night. The man who threw guitars at her onstage and in and on, But yeah we will put all of the blame on Stevie and no one else 👌 im sure she doesn’t care she’s still so popular that she’s selling out arenas at 75 - who else from the band could do that 😏

    • @audionmusic2787
      @audionmusic2787 2 месяца назад +6

He was the leader. He’s allowed to be controlling. My God, she had tremendous freedom and you think she should have had more? She basically stole the band from him. Back when they joined the band, he insisted that they let Stevie in too. She repaid him with disloyalty. And he is ten times the musician she is.
Basically she’s unqualified to lead but insisted upon it anyway. Typical of many modern women.

I received TUSK as one of my Christmas presents when I was 13-I already had a very respectable collection of about 200 albums ( music 🎶 is my life’s passion ) but was disappointed. May be two songs moved me. To me Fleetwood Mac was Peter Green, Kirwin, and the Welch era and later, RUMORS obviously. ❤

I remember that. Stevie roped the others into the old trope of "a double album won't sell to the boomers as well as a single." I mean, SYW is long enough to QUALIFY as a double, but that's not the point.
The point is, Stevie's lethargy was trumping artistic creativity. Which is why, after kicking LB out, they released NO NEW MATERIAL.

I think Nicks had been nursing a grudge against Buckingham since the seventies. For whatever reason she never really decided to act on it fully until she got him booted from the band in the late 2010s, but I suspect you saw that passive aggressively coming out here. She’s a tremendous talent, don’t get me wrong… you don’t achieve the career she got without it. But I don’t think she had the artistic bent of Buckingham. All you need to do is look at her more recent quote about not wanting to record another album. “Let’s just go out and tour and make some money”.

I see this is the " HATE STEVIE NICKS" Video. Com'on people Stevie made that Band. I'm 61 years old Black Man from the GHETTO n when I was young I actually thought Fleetwood Mac was Stevie Nicks. Maybe cause I loved my R&B SOUL MUSIC. I'm not buying Rock n Roll albums...but I heard of many Rock bands i.e. Kiss, Meatloaf, AiroSmith, Wild Cherry, Chicago, n of course Fleetwood Mac. But I feel Stevie had more success as a Solo artist then Lyndsey.
