Has everyone forgotten that one of the reasons why Lindsey didn't go on the 'Tango In The Night' tour was because Stevie's Cocaine habit was so severe, he was certain she was going to kill herself on another tour.

I've been a fan and listening to their music and things they have all said since Rumours came out. Yes I am old. My assessment is that the current rift between Stevie and Lindsey is her jealousy that he has built a happy home life with someone else and she never managed to do that. She was VERY attractive and could have anyone she wanted and as such took full advantage of that. But that doesn't last and most realize that in the end there are things that are more important than that. I think she assumed that she could recreate what she had with Lindsey and never managed to do that.

At the end of the day, nobody bought Rumours because of the breakups.. I mean, nobody outside the band knew about their personal dramas. The fans bought it because it was full of cracking good songs.

I disagree with him that their personal lives were relevant to most fans at the time. I was a big fan at the time. I had no idea what was going on in any of their personal lives. But I was hearing their music on the radio every day and I had both the Rumours album and Fleetwod Mac, Fleetwood Mac. Years later I heard all the stories about their personal lives and the break-ups, but not back in 1977, when it was happening.

An amazingly talented man and band. They should have stopped touring after The Dance though, because they were just corralling old problems and not ever resolving them. Great music from the hearts and minds of people who went through something and did something with it. Brilliantly.

Seems like you completely skipped the first Fleetwood Mac album that featured Buckingham and Nicks. It was simply called “Fleetwood Mac” and it was recorded at Sound City Studios on an analog board. Released in 1975, 2 years before Rumours.

Mick Fleetwood should have kicked her out of the band when she said "It's either him or me". She may be the star, but so what, they are all stars. Another girl temper tantrum destroys a relationship, big surprise. Fleetwood could've kicked her little ass right out the door.

Lindsey has always been unfairly criticised. Stevie dumped him then slept with Mick Fleetwood, imagine how that would have felt? By all accounts she was also about to run off with a man from San Francisco when they were still together. He truly loved her. Am glad he found Kristen and had his beautiful kids. It sounds like they saved their marriage as well which is great. Dan Rather is excellent as ever.
