  • Using Jason’s unique concept, “Chord Trees” we look at a Piano Inversion Exercise which will enable you to conquer your triads as well as their inversions in the most musical way possible. Use this composition technique to create movie-theme scores either with your Piano or as any arrangement. We also cover ways to improvise a melody over any 2 chords from the tree. Lots to learn, so do consider watching the lesson till the very end!

    If I've worked it out right, the chords associated with a note are the I,i (root) ,VI,vi(third of the chord) and IV,iv( fifth of the chord).

    • @rangraj
      @rangraj Год назад

      Except that the VI is the flattened VI.

    Very helpful but I am an aspiring jazz pianist and I really need to learn the 7th chords which as you know contain 4 notes and a lot more chords and more difficult.

    Can we add the half diminished triad to this series of chords, meaning C - Eb - F#?

    • @nathanielschool
      @nathanielschool  2 года назад +2

      Oh yes! I think so! Haven't talk about these chords in the lesson but make sure you explore this!
