So I have to say, as a Police officer who has been trying to incorporate more Olight into my rig the past few years, these units have finally hit the nail on the head. I love the operation on the M2R and the X7R, also really looking forward to the PL Mini, but hope they change the strobe operation to a double or triple tap, instead of both buttons simultaneously. Way to go, Olight.
Very excited for the M2R, Recently purchased a S1 Baton Turbo S and a S2R and have been really wanting a nice EDC light with more throw that still has the latest tech in it. Also that pistol light, If they took off the mounting system and slimmed it a little you would be left with a very cool chunky keychain light similar to the Nitecore Tip but with the built in nice O-light charger port which would be cool!
Been waiting on the new Warrior series lights for a while now, is the M1R still going into production?! Thanks Marshall for sharing with us the latest content in upcoming products from Olight. :)
Hi Marshal. Just a quick note/question for Olight, if you could pass it to them. On the PL-mini, which looks to be a great design, if it would be possible to machine a keyway attachment point one step closer to the switches. This might allow moving the rail key to accommodate a wider range of pistols. I recently purchased a surefire XC1 for my wife's XD Mod2 subcompact 9 and it would not work with it. It was literally one keyway short of working.
I'd really like to see a new light reminiscent of the 5-6 D-cell Maglite. One that could double as a defensive club. That bell end fit my hand perfectly, and it also mounted on the vehicle door or transmission tunnel very nicely.
If that headlamp comes in NW tint, definitely getting it for outdoor use. Also would prefer that manufacturers start dropping micro USB in favour of Type-C port far more durable interface.
Still no power bank outlet feature on the 1x18650 or Big Bertha, that's a shame I'd love to be able to charge my phone straight from my flashlight in a pinch.
Republic Thunderstreak I do carry one in my bag, but I like the idea of being able to charge from the light that would always be in my pants pocket in an emergency. In my backpack a larger "power bank" could also happen to double as a monster flood light with minimal extra weight and bulk. It's all about size/weight/capability.
I don't know if you're still wondering, but I own a h2r nova which had the same issue in earlier versions. Old ones did short out, newer tailcaps dont anymore. Afaik you can get a free tailcap replacement from olight.
R i p great man the husband of my favorite teacher and to think I only knew my teacher for a couple months the teacher was the sunshine threw my clouds ❤️❤️❤️
Pun intended--- I hope the M2R sees the "light" of day! I recall at the last Shot Show, a prototype of the M1R was shown. I was waiting for it....and an Olight rep kept telling me it was on the boards for a Spring release --- March/April... but from what I could tell, it never happened. Keeping fingers crossed this time!!
I like the two way pocket clip. If you remove the clip regularly, it'll scratch the flash light. & it's not easy to change the pocket clip. Two way clip lets carry the light either way without removing the clip
The small LED in the middle of the power button seems to go out when the light is not moving and then reactivates when the light is moved? If so, that is a really nice feature.
M2r, if you put it on moonlight and turn it off and then use the tailcap switch does it come on in moonlight? Are they going to change their magnetic chargers to a usb-C cable on the opposite end?
HS2 proprietary battery system is lame. The flashlight looks modular so hopefully the battery system can be changed to a two, three or four 18650 for extended runtime usage which would be great if your caving or hiking and don't want to mess with changing batteries. M2R needs identical switch operation on both switches. Sounds redundant but having two different switch that does different things is confusing and not very user friendly. You either have two switch that does the same thing or one switch that does everything. If its the typical dual switch where the tail cap is on and off only and the front is mode change then that's fine but when you have this weird additional feature for the tail switch its just confusing.
Hey, Chris with preparedmind101 gets free stuff to promote for olight! I've been telling people about olight before he knew they made flashlights! I have had jetbeams, eagletac's, fhorfire's, and many other lights no one knows about! I've actually bought many lights from going gear at full price and I'm definitely a return customer! I still have 2 olight m22 warriors on both my rifles and even though I bought the warrior x, I think it was foolish to discontinue the m22! I've had them for years and rhey've outlasted eagletac's, theunite's, fenix's, pelican's and many other flashlights. I intend on buying many more olight's, especially the m1x striker. How can I get hooked up with a discount, considering I have a law enforcement and security background and have sold many of their lights! No one knew about them before me!
I love Olight but I hate how they have a turbo s and a turbo mode and how it's difficult to get into turbo s. I think that they should reduce it to a single turbo mode so that you could easily get to max brightness easily
vxgas Ya, I didn't like that's it's Lipo. I also thought it had a lot going on, kinda bulky in a way. You have the wide lipo battery in the back then some inches of wire , then the big power button, then some more inches of wire , then finally the light housing. H1r and h2r seem waaay better! Granted he did say this was gonna be for runners.
still quite gimmicky with those low run turbo modes. But like the look of that headlamp, if 5v run could be run of any power bank and make for a good side light for helmets.
i don't know if this prototype had it at the time but now its a 2 stage switch, on tactical mode you can press the switch and get full 1500 lumens and push harder to activate strobe. fantastic! you can see a demo here: ruclips.net/video/UmI1FQP9iiM/видео.html
Next time you are needing to review something for a picatinny rail just pick up a cheap airsoft handgun... If anything Olight should already have one to better display their product.
0:50 pl mini pistol light
5:00 hs2 headlamp
8:50 m2r warrior
18:12 x7r
Thank you! :D
That M2R! 8) I'm sold!
Johan David Same here. They told me it would be out august.
still not out?
Olight is my favorite flashlight manufacturer. I can't wait for the M2R and the X7R to come out. Thanks for showing us these lights Marshall!

gotta love that M2R! Great UI and non-proprietary battery. Merry Christmas to me for 2017!
Thank you, for another great tour segment, Marshall!
Happy 4th of July everyone!
I imagine their production factory was awesome to see.
I carry an m1x striker... That M2R warrior looks like a really nice upgrade, can't wait to buy it
Great series! Whole new respect for O Light.

x7r cant wait. I have the x7 and it is awesome
i need the m2r and the pistol light last year. i have been waiting on olight to come out with these forever
Olight is kicking ass and taking names.
Awesome review, thanks for the update . You will let us know when they are coming out . Nice products..
Thanks
RIP Marshall!🙏🏼
Thanks for showing the headlamp

im really digging that m2r warrior
Take my money on the M2R exactly what I've wanted for awhile now. Seemed to have done everything right with it.
Like that pl mini. I had a PL1, good design, but that QD point come loose over use. Another challenge is to have someone make holster.
Looking good! Thanks Marshall.
Hi Marshall
Any sign on the X9 Marauder you previewed at the shot show this year?
If that headlamp comes in NW tint, definitely getting it for outdoor use. Also would prefer that manufacturers start dropping micro USB in favour of Type-C port far more durable interface.
Great Lights I Want The HS2 , MR2 !
M2R!!! My money couldn't be spent any faster.
Be nice if you could add a feature in the M2R's UI where you could just simply disable the rear switch if you wanted.
Still no power bank outlet feature on the 1x18650 or Big Bertha, that's a shame I'd love to be able to charge my phone straight from my flashlight in a pinch.
Kit Bloke
That's what I was waiting for when he was showing it... :\
Kit Bloke
Why not just get a power bank that can charge your flashlight and phone?
Republic Thunderstreak I do carry one in my bag, but I like the idea of being able to charge from the light that would always be in my pants pocket in an emergency. In my backpack a larger "power bank" could also happen to double as a monster flood light with minimal extra weight and bulk. It's all about size/weight/capability.
The new pistol light is definitely of interest. Oh wait, ALL the lights are of interest to this Olight fangirl. :)

If metal touches both parts of the tailcap on the M2R, would that still short out the battery?
Awesome then that looks like a pretty sweet tailcap design!
What happened to Marshall? I heard that he had died, but could not find out any details.
Pun intended--- I hope the M2R sees the "light" of day! I recall at the last Shot Show, a prototype of the M1R was shown. Going Gear OK thanks. I thought it seemed odd that they'd release a "2" version without ever releasing the initial one first.
Going Gear True, but doesn't it often seem that the FIRST of a new light is usually a one-cell configuration?
If that M2R has thermal regulation, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
The M2R looks nice, but that pocket clip is ghastly. What's the point of a two-way pocket clip on a body that accepts the clip either way?
100eyes
Lol. that's what I was thinking..! Man, some of these ideas..
Great presentation thank you
Still waiting on the M1R warrior, still making it right?
hm ive read on budgetlightforum the m1r is cancelled but the m2r will come out... weird if true
mini PL - no strobe mode in the final version? I would be dissappointed... :(
M2r, if you put it on moonlight and turn it off and then use the tailcap switch does it come on in moonlight? Are they going to change their magnetic chargers to a usb-C cable on the opposite end?
Wow that m2r!!!
On the X7R... will that Distance Sensor interfere with a Diffuser that is attached to the light?
X7R IS UNDERPOWERED NOW
Did they drop the powerbank mode of the X7R???
Going Gear That sucks :( In an earlier video of a prototype the showed this feature. I guess it didn't make the cut :(
Is the lanyard hole on the M2R big enough for 550 cord, flattened or not?
Tail cap still magnetic?
Going Gear awesome, thanks!
What is the length and diameter of the M2R?
How do you get to the 1 lumen on the M2R? Do you hold down the side switch from off like the S1?
Marshall,
When do you think the MR2 will released?
Thanks
August/September
Take my money with that rail light.
Will there be a x7r pro now it looks likes They discontinued the x7r"?
HS2 proprietary battery system is lame. The flashlight looks modular so hopefully the battery system can be changed to a two, three or four 18650 for extended runtime usage which would be great if your caving or hiking and don't want to mess with changing batteries.

Rest easy brother

LMAO @ SILENT SWITCH...DON'T WANNA BE HEARD 👂 BUT WILL BE TURNING ON A BRIGHT LIGHT!! PRETTY SURE THEY'LL BE ABLE TO SEE YOU!!
The M2R needs a strike bezel. The bezel on it now is not pointy enough.
Hans Knutson The long strike bezels are a pita to pocket carry especially on the M1X Stricker. I like the short crenellations on the M2R
do they make lights for
the u.s. military?, that is
made only the military.
I love Olight but I hate how they have a turbo s and a turbo mode and how it's difficult to get into turbo s. I think that they should reduce it to a single turbo mode so that you could easily get to max brightness easily
imagine if the polymer battery of the headlamp explosed at the back of your head... LOL
vxgas

How long is the M2 R Warrior supposed to run for on terrible before it drops out of Regulation?
Going Gear thank you sir
What happened to Marshall, he was so young...
how much is the m2r going to retail for?
Best lights in the world.
any news on the x9?
still quite gimmicky with those low run turbo modes.

The marauder must be discontinued?
The M2R Warrior, really really sexy

M2R
The power button color of the running lamp is ugly. Too light of blue. Hopefully they will change it.
bunlarin açiklasi türkçe olsa daha iyi olur
Usb charging of this company is suck ,r series make me in troble for more than 3 times .will it gonna be improved?
Proprietary batteries . No go for me!
3 lumen output for 30 days is useless. Olight, please listen!
Other brandS batterieS
Olight worst warrenty for premium priced flashlight .don't buy.
