      thanks @zerojanitor. i'd sure like to see other players try their hand and some of these results. great job on the Robot Detective soundtrack by the way.

      Thanks for watching. This was from more experimental gameplay footage but I've just started to try full speedruns/playthroughs of this ending. Woulda posted one last night but my internet connection was weak and the livestream footage was too choppy to use. Really hope to see other players try some of this stuff out.

      Hey, thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. The simplified instructions would be:
      -Complete basically all the requirements to trigger the Talkshow ending, but also have a character captured timed to unlock the New Kid menu after grabbing the Radiation Suit.
      -Sacrifice Wendy at some point during the main game (so that Sandy appears in the Talkshow instead)
      -Use Quarter in Pepsi Machine and make sure Dave ends up with the Cold Can of Pepsi.
      -Give contract to Meteor and immediately hit New Kid to switch characters. Switch characters about three times to halt the progression of Meteor's rant after the third line or so.
      -Exit the lab/garage area and head to the top floor.
      -Open Weird Ed's door, drink Cold Can of Pepsi, and walk into Weird Ed's room after "That Was Refreshing" displays.
      -Very carefully timing the mashing of New Kid while Weird Ed is attempting to Capture Dave will set it up so that it wipes to Talkshow before Weird Ed's rant is over. You can regain control on the Talkshow and the game will treat Sandy like Dave. Dave's capture is still "on the stack", so it basically transfers to Sandy, etc. Talkshow set is very prone to crashing when control is regained. It seems less failure prone when waiting to regain control until after the first game over screen, or at least Meteor says "Well Wink, It Feels Great".
      Always happy to break down strats further if needed.

    Ok but cam you put the meteor in the microwave?....meteorsteak% ?

      No, and I've sure tried. Unfortunately the only ways to interact with Meteor as an inventory item are to put it in the Weird Edsel, feed it to the Plant, or give it to other characters.

      @@capnshrimpy what happens if you feed it to the plant in a normal playthrough as opposed to putting it in the Edsel?

      Feeding the Meteor to the plant under normal circumstances will progress to the porch cutscene as an alternate win condition. It's a plan-B ending they added to the NES version that's not in the original PC version, not a glitch.

      @popplars964 I think the most likely thing they had in mind was if you launch the Weird Edsel without Meteor in it by mistake. The gate's locked from the pool side at this point in the game, so you almost need to do that to be able to pass without using glitches. On the speedrun route of the the Feed Meteor to Plant ending, I actually launch the empty Weird Edsel earlier on in the game to clear the gate (around the time that the Glowing Key is collected from the pool).
