How to identify and treat CARDIAC ARREST RHYTHMS

  • In this video we are going to see how to identify cardiorespiratory arrest rhythms, their characteristics, what the electrocardiographic trace looks like, and the treatment of these arrest rhythms.
    We will see that they are divided into shockable and non-shockable, shockable are pulseless ventricular tachycardia or PVT and ventricular fibrillation or VF; those that cannot be shocked are pulseless electrical activity or PEA and asystole.
    This information is based on the AHA, the intention is to present it in a more dynamic and relaxed way.
    In other videos we will see cardiopulmonary resuscitation, drug doses, defibrillation doses, management of bradyarrhythmias, tachyarrhythmias and reversible causes of arrest known as the H's and the T's.
