+575Andrew At the moment, I thought that was the hardest fight in the entire game. Barely won. But then came the final boss' third phase. With a team of Agate and Zane (which means only Estelle could heal). *OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD!* I was so ready to ragequit then and there. Had to abuse the _Heal + Craft_ combo to win that fight.
+BrokenMoonStudios I found the final boss comically easy. Earth Guard is a wonderful thing. I took literally no damage from the point where I destroyed the hands because of it. It was a real let-down actually - I lost to Lorence earlier and couldn't beat him in about 20 attempts so I gave up on it since you don't have to win, and I was kinda hoping he would show up again for a more challenging final fight.
PrrrromotionGiven After you destroy the fucking anti-art bombs, the fight is pretty much over. But until then, surviving the shit ton of lasers and the death cannon is ridiculous. You can't cast Earth Guard fast enough with anyone but Joshua or Olivier. And you'll get the protection destroyed by the smaller robots. I honestly think you can only survive if you keep using healing items (which is what I did to survive until I could cast heal again).
BrokenMoonStudios Well, you have to have Joshua, so that's fine. I actually used Zane as my main Earth Guard guy with Joshua as backup on it, both using Clock Up EX on Zane and occasionally making a guard himself, and Shadow Spear when neither of those are needed. Made sure to kill the small robots quickly, wasn't that hard with three party members focusing on them every time they got made. I barely healed at all, items or Arts. Olivier and Estelle gradually wearing it down with Arts, using S-Breaks on every critical I could, and it was just a joke of a final boss because he attacks too slowly to overcome Earth Guard combined with Clock Up EX. I got legitimately pissed when they were talking in cutscenes about how hard it was, how they couldn't take much more, and how they couldn't win without Cassius coming in to help. I really dislike the "cutscene power" in this game sometimes, one of the only things I don't like about it, and also why I have a grudge against Cassius for fake-saving me TWICE (that, and the one near the start in the tower. I've got S-Breaks for a reason!)
After I ended the frist part of this game, I understood why people love this game. It is great. I am save money to buy the second and third part in steam. Great game!
Second Chapter is getting an English Language release next year ^_^ It was even announced that if done on time, the Steam release of Second Chapter may come later this year.
This game was *so* well done, many games fail to achieve this level of depth and attachment. I'm definitely in line to buy the SC soon as it's posted. :)
Yep, I too shall be in that line, I only played FC from when I came to steam last month, but, it has left a deep impression and dear lord; that ending, I haven't found an RPG this deep since Grandia, I have, however, played the Playstation 1/PC version of Legend of Heroes IV: Tear of Vermillion, my enjoyment with that encouraged me to play this one.
Aye, I was sad. but that came with good reason, translation has had problems due to it's leader battling with depression and being suicidal, he handed it down, it's set to be released Summer 2015 for PSP download and the timing of the steam release is to follow.
ChaoticNarrative If they have voices I would like (at least have the option to choose) to have Japanese voice with English subtitles. If it has dialogues I want them to be English because I am not too fluent in reading Japanese yet.
Epic isn't when Imerlith from Witcher 3 gets up put his gear up in an epic fashion or when he puts down his shield then goes beserk but when Lawrence throws his helmet off and begins to dominate you.
I love this game. Even though it has tactics battle, it still contains RPG elements. Just the type of game I would throw my money at. Still wish they make a US release for the second and third chapter.
Nancy Lo The UMD release didn't sell well because the PSP has never been very popular in the US. The Steam release, however, has sold _very_ well, and XSEED announced that SC will be released either by the end of 2014 or the first quarter of 2015.
@TehReimu Eh, well I used it for the Divinegon fight so I figure I might as well upload the song itself as well. Actually, thinking of that, I could also upload the looped Zoma battle theme... when I'm not too lazy that is!
It's an amazing game. It *is* a very slow burn, with like 60 hours of gameplay where only the last 10-20 hours really ramp things up. That's the beauty of Trails though.
TheDancingBastard You've missed the point the trails in the sky series is an old series that was originally on PC. The first one came out in 2004 then was later ported to PSP in 2006. The PC english translation came out 10 years after the initial PC release in Japan. Maybe you've noticed it, but the game is VERY PC friendly, everything can be controlled with a mouse and keyboard unlike the Trails of Cold Steel series which was originally a console game.
So the company has decided to make a US release? Ive been praying for this game's english release my whole life and it has finally come. Unfortunately my psp broke damn..this game's flawless wish that everyone knew that, all the rpg enthusiasts should really play this game!
+Michael Mohr Hansen He's such a gentleman that he asked so politely that I couldn't comprehend what he said entirely, so i shortened it. (what an excuse for being bad at internetting)
And Estelle will deny him since she claimed those violins before Layton did. (no seriously, Trails in the Sky was released for PC in 2004, Layton was first released in 2007).
I suppose we could say then that Max and Monica want their violins back (Dark Cloud 2 came out 2 years before Trails in the Sky, same composer as Layton). In all seriousness though, I'm glad I'm not the only one that was reminded of Tomohito Nishiura's work when I heard this; I was actually more surprised to learn he WASN'T involved in this.
Falcom need to invest more on the ost of their games. The melody isn't bad, just sounds... idk... lacking instruments... If it was fully orchestrated ... oh boy!
THIS DIVINE LIGHTNING SHALL PIERCE THE SKIES
After so many years of hearing it in different videos and fan games...I finally found where this song was from...
"I trust you will not be offended if I choose not to go easy on you, simply because you are women. Shall we?"

BrokenMoonStudios The battle in the Queen's room is winnable? I got annihilated.
I cant get enough of this song.
Just beat this game... the sequel can't come soon enough!

I pray to this song five times a day, real shit

Trails SC should be out by the end of this year or possibly the beginning of next year.
Corinn Heathers The world may never know. I thought they didn't do a US release because the first chapter didn't sell well in the US.
Nancy Lo The UMD release didn't sell well because the PSP has never been very popular in the US. The Steam release, however, has sold _very_ well, and XSEED announced that SC will be released either by the end of 2014 or the first quarter of 2015.
Corinn Heathers Thanks. Sadly, my PSP broke. I really want to continue Trails in the Sky chapters.
Nancy Lo The Steam version has all the features of the PSP version _and_ you don't have to play it on a tiny screen!
The most heroic music I've ever heard tbh.
For some reason... I like this version of silver will than any other versions of it...
This is my second favorite of all the ones that've been made, though my favorite is the one from the anime.
Josette, Kyle and Don disliked this..
@TehReimu Eh, well I used it for the Divinegon fight so I figure I might as well upload the song itself as well. Actually, thinking of that, I could also upload the looped Zoma battle theme... when I'm not too lazy that is!
I believe Second Chapter will or has been released in America.
This theme actually makes me want to play this game.
Its on Steam for 20$. Its pretty good. Its 2 sequels are also on Steam as well.

Greetings from an FE ROM hack
you really love that song
"Only on playstation"
Hah
Man am I glad the console wars are done. Having games be accessible to multiple platforms is always A+ to me =]
I'm glad these finally came to PC.

Layton wants his violins back.
+CactusErebittsu i think you mean: Professor Layton called, he wants his violins back!
+Michael Mohr Hansen
He's such a gentleman that he asked so politely that I couldn't comprehend what he said entirely, so i shortened it.

oooh, sorry

Second Chapter is not out yet in America, progress is very slow.
This is like the PERFECT HOMEWORK MUSIC!
Hehe, from Last Promise 😉
not exactly, this is the original version
The beginning of the melody sounds a bit like Haltmann's theme from Kirby Planet Robobot. Someone should make a high quality rip of this.
Perfect couple and music for Project X Zone 3.
SECOND CHAPTER JUST GOT ANNOUNCED BY XSEED! GET HYPE!
@RavenTheObsidian You should upload the Zoma theme.
Now.
Artz driving..!!
They should remaster this for PS4.
This loewe guy on SC hard blind playthru tho.....
He rekt my sorry ass even though i expected him to be harder than FC version.
Falcom need to invest more on the ost of their games. The melody isn't bad, just sounds... idk... lacking instruments... If it was fully orchestrated ... oh boy!
Rafael Bruno go listen to the super arrange version ;)
and here ?? (europe) >[]
DEAD EMPEROR SWORD
To be honest, Blazer's remix sounds a lot cooler.
