- Mr. Mister and their #1 hits "Broken Wings" and "Kyrie" played a major role in defining pop music in the late 80's. This recently discovered clip, taken from a live show in NY shortly after "Broken Wings" hit the #1 spot on the Billboard charts is raw and alive and shows a group of amazing musicians clearly at the top of their game.
Check out MrMisterOfficial.com for info on a previously unreleased 4th Mr. Mister album, "Pull" and future projects.
This kicks ass!!!! WE WANT AN OFFICIAL DVD!!!!!!! WHO'S WITH ME?!
Yeah Richard we need you on this...A Live dvd please :)
Great band. Very few bands today could play that on point, no matter how hard they tried.
Richard Page, Phil Lynott, Paul McCartney, Sting, Peter Cetera...all my biggest influences, singing bassist never play a "wrong" note...Richard has great sensibility for arrangement, a great player, great influence
they should just reunite anf play all of these old classics on tour.
I think the same. The rock in english is the better rock in all times!!! Grettings from argentina! 🇦🇷
when they came out they ruled all. perfect little pop quartet with excellent songs. miss them.
I couldn't have said it better myself!! I have been "in love" with Richard and this group's music for 26 years. Long live Mr. Mister!!
Richard Page, Steve George, Pat Mastelotto, Steve Farris, what a great constellation!! Pat Mastelotto, what a great drummer.........
ended up in king crimson. I saw him with them in 1996 and he was amazing. he's still with them today
pat I mean
and richard had an offer to join Toto...
100%
I loved them in the 80's when Welcome To The Real World came out. Played that cassette, Lol!! , to death! Had no idea that they were so awesome live. Great version of this song! Wow.
What do you expect from seasoned studio musicians?
Same here played it to glory !
This song reminds me of cruising around in my Camaro with friends in the summertime. I am so puzzled why this band didn't get bigger success...they are tight, sound wonderful, have great songs, and my GOD is the lead singer gorgeous! I could watch him all day! Just like the Cars, another blonde, gorgeous bass playing lead singer!
Absolutely! Best singer ever.. Richard Page.. And LOVE Mr Mr.. always!
Richard Page and Ben Orr ❤️❤️gorgeous...and combined they look like the late great Rutger Hauer ...my fav man ever ha ha!
Richard Page's voice always puts me in another place.. mesmerizing!! Love him, and all the guys in Mr Mr.
Quality band, they remind me of the Cars, another great but truly underrated band.
I would love to see a collaboration
between Richard Page & Sting!!!!
Two bass playing vocalists that are
fantastic in their own way!!!!!
haha, the more I see Rich, the better he looks. I think my blood pressure skyrockets every time they show Steve Farris. wish we had a way to reach him, like twitter.
MR MISTER I NEED U BACK
I just can't stop playing this clip; it's simply awesome. Such a great tune, such great performances by Page & George.
I prefer this version; tempo, vocals & bass much more vivid than the perfect album version.
Thank you, Richard Page...such an inspiration for me and many others!
damm , this is real music !
Even though they were only around for a short period of time thy still sorta defined the sound of the mid 80's pop sound.
I saw them live! July 1986. Awesome!
I saw them August 1986. Was a great tour!
Saw them in May of 86
Pat Mastelotto was on point here
His drum sound is what really made the band a lot better.
Love those electronic drums! Pat was fantastic here!
Adore these guys
Me too. Love Mr Mr and the Cars the best!
Love this Band
Awesome band . Always on the top of my music to ear .
I have it on vinyl, cassette & CD :) Mr. Mister forever!
Pat looks like he's having a hell of a time. Excellent drummer, all members are excellent at their respective instruments.
Four great and taletend musicians.
I'm hypnotized by them lol. Awesome!

Me from the future in 2024!
Incredible! Love the tone of the guitar on this one!
Absolutely a great band
definitely, though I have a soft spot for Steve F because he's so rock n roll to me. ;-)
😍
wow! killer live band!
Try singing like that whilst playing the bass in the pocket that's some tough shit! Amazing track. I'm so fucking ready for a band like this in 2022
What a truly gorgeous singer - he's got the full package hasn't he? Fabulous voice, excellent musician and songwriter, great band, hard sexy face and why the hell don't men wear that sort of outfit anymore?!! Saves my blood pressure I suppose. Thanks for posting this gem - We need MORE though! Love every single song from every album these guys ever did, they're just magic!
ladytawny.. Truth! Have to agree with everything you said! I LOVE all these guys.. so underrated .. They all had so much, and should have risen even higher. Richard, Steve G, Steve F , and Pat.. Perfection!
Richard Page and Rutger Hauer are/ were the hottest men ever!
Yup. Richard's hot!!! 😍
Reform and tour! Great track from so many great tracks on a great album!
What a voice he had. Still listen to WttRW in my car almost daily. You just don't hear songs with strength like this anymore. What a disaster the industry has become.
padistedor True!!
padistedor Coming from a 19 year old raised on Mr Mister, I would pick this type of music over other types any day.
Cant agree more, uninspiring stuff today even though technology has gotten so far... I remember listening to this before heading for my school bus!
All about looks now, music doesn't matter as long as you're "hot" ...ok Richard here, was a looker but a lot of musicians back then weren't.
Have to agree, generally, Richard is still so good looking.. But, I think each member of this band were "lookers", but more important, they had REAL talent ,too.
Richard Page , George Ghiz & Co. what are you waiting for a DVD with The Ritz, Chile, Daytona.....???
Welcome to the real world has to be in my too ten all time faves, along with godley and creme. This album should have gotten more play. I do t even k ow if this so g was released as a single but was DAMN good. Already I be played back this clip fifteen times. Good music
Digging the Charvel that Steve is playing \m/
I'm with you DangerousDrummerDado , WE NEED AN DVD.
Yessss! Please! What are they waiting? We want all those DVDs!!!!!
Not every live rendition of a studio song works as well, but this is GREAT!
2:58 a 3:30 Extasis!!! Increible banda... Saludos a todos desde Argentina....
And we've gotta fix that! Chhhhh!
Page-great musician - good looking in his day as well, a bit like Sting, but better looking and he had a cheeky look as well!
YES!!!
And, he is still looking and sounding GRRRREAT in 2018!
He is hotttt 😍😍😍
Popping a bass while playing with a pick 👍
Excelente canción mister mister de 1985
HIGHLY underrated band.
What a fucking brilliant band!
Rich sounded really pissed at 0:05
Always nice to see and hear Yamaha BB bass. I've been playing them for 40 years now.
d+ sem dúvida uma das melhores bandas, show!
3:29-3:37, just died.
Love the Simmons drums.
Steve farris..where are you man?
He's back in Nebraska not doing music but conservation stuff and running a hunting reserve
Look for his appearance on the ToneTalk podcast on RUclips to hear the full story
TOP SHOW
Tiiiiiiiight
Great Band.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the haircut of the guitarist: 80s at its best😃
I hope you are the band in Heaven guys!
Does anyone have the full version of the video at the Ritz? With the other songs like Do not Slow Down and Welcome To The Real World? Thanks
This is my fav. I am weird.
Sweet Yacht Rock Music
He plays the bass with a plectrum like Benjamin Orr
@DangerousDrummerDado i'm so with u!!!
Shame that the sound engineer thought the best way to combat feedback was to drop Richard's vocal mic down to barely audible...
@0:03 don't F*** with Richard Page.
cool
what type of effect is steve farris using on his solo?
By the way: Perfect live performance.
I do
Farris quit...he shouldn't have though
he was unhappy with the direction they were going. If you listen to Go On (the next album) he didn't feel like it packed enough punch. And he & Richard Page had some issues.
Yes.. he seemed like the George Harrison of the group. Quiet and deep.
@@repentobeyjesus9187
No, he hated the increasingly "evangelical" tone of the writing - not everybody believes in your imaginary friend...
Keith Reeder that was rude, please live and let live no matter your beliefs.
@@keithreeder Steve Farris is actually a Christian and acknowledges God's blessings. Watch a recent video.
He reminds me of Bryan Adams without the pock marks.
Soooooooooooo much better than Bryan Adams, to me.
Rutger Hauer.
jon gruden was in a rock band?
Tangent Tears is the the worst kind of
Sounds like a little police vocal style and music.
Compare this to a real band like the Canadian Saga. There is simply no compariosn. In no respects.
You still here? You have no ear or eye for GREAT talent. :/
Who are Canadian Saga??? Never heard of them. :/
Their obsession with how they seem to look and perform makes this worth of nothing.
Go on outa here with your lame comments.
^Love his voice!
