FYI, just fitted the bc 20 and everything works fine bar some terrible white noise . Reconnecting the ribbon cable to the amp has sorted the issue. Question however the ac adaptor makes a slight whine ! Is this normal ?? Great bit of kit guys ! Revived an old piece of tech ! Thanks !!! I've just turned the ac adaptor on its side and the noise is greatly reduced Thanks again x
The early model 208 power supplies whined - sometimes a lot - this is a noise coming direct from the power adaptor housing via the air. The best bet is to get a new power supply or a newer version of the one you have. The early power supplies ending 201 did not whine. See the power supply diagnostics video on this channel - the issues are explained.
Hi my sounddock series ii has power and the green light stays on. No sound and volumr buttons do nothing. I took it apart and all cables are attached. I'm thinking one of the ribbon cables is bad. Is it usually the cable from 30 pin to sound processor or the middle cable from processor to amplifier?

Looks like my Sound Procesor need to be fixed, but wanted to upgrade to the new bluetooth adaptar. Does it fix it buying that or i need two parts? (the fixed sound procesor + the bluetooth)????
Hi sometimes my Bose sound dock type 1 stop charging and playing but when touch the outside of the metal on my classic iPod I can still feel a vibration running through. Do you have any idea what it might be please?

Sorry, by that I mean that it hasn’t just come out of the connector...the connector has snapped off of the amplifier completely

usually the plug comes de-soldered - they were never fixed on that well. We can solder the cable back on for you.
