I ordered a replacement card and followed this video. Worked great. BTW, I found that if you remove the panel between the speakers the ribbon cable is ~6” long and much easier to plug into the sound board. Thanks for making the repair available. Best!
Received unit on Saturday and sat down today (Monday) to install it, it literally took 5 minutes to do and it works great. If you have the slightest aptitude to use a single screwdriver you can do this. The only suggestion to BoseRenew might be to re-shoot the video to make sure there's a better shot of the board and cables when reconnecting/reinstalling. It didn't affect me, but I could see where it could be confusing for some. Great job on the product and more importantly, great price!

Agreed on the part of the video that talks about reconnecting the 2 cables. I really could not see what he was doing so I had to guess. But it wasn’t difficult.
Bravo! Got the new sound board and installed it. Works great! If you send in your old sound board, the guarantee is extended to one year. You can’t go wrong here if no sound is your problem.
Ordered the sound card last week. Received it this week and my Sounddock is alive again. I just ordered another one for the one downstairs that is having the same problem. Sending back the bad one to get one year warranty. Great emails. Told me when they shipped, out for delivery and delivered. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.
So helpful! I ordered a replacement sound board from BoseRenew for my series 1. He shipped quickly and included a seld addressed paid for return envelope so if I wanted a 1 year warranty, all I had to do was return the old sound card. Very cool! Followed the instructions in the video and the SoundDock is back in business baby! Thanks so much!
Add me to the long list of satisfied customers. Purchased one of these for $8 in unknown condition from the swap meet on Sunday, watched your video and ordered the sound board from you on Sunday evening. You shipped it on Monday, I received it on Thursday. 5min later, I had a working sound dock! Thanks again, I sent my old one back to you, to be repaired and recycled.

My iPod was charging but no sound. Where the diagnostic says bad sound board. I took this apart like he showed and just reattached the ribbon to my original sound board and it works again. Thank you
Before you do anything, unplug it and wait 20 seconds, then plug back in. Works for me!
Awesome customer service. Found you on RUclips and we ordered a replacement sound board from BoseRenew for our series 1 Sound Dock for less than half of what Bose wanted to just look at it. It shipped within a few days and included an envelope so if we wanted a 1 year warranty, all we had to do was return the old sound card. My Husband was able to follow your video and we are back up and running - just like new! Thanks again!

Dude, there's something called the frame. Most of the important work you did for us, and thank you, by the way, was down and out of the frame. Whereas we had a very long beautiful shot of two units sitting there doing nothing while your hands did all the work down at the bottom and out of frame. In the future, think Video.

That little ribbon? What a pain to get in! I'm glad I practiced with the broken board. Now, I'll get a new one.
I changed mine out with a new audioboard, and it works except the very fragile speaker nipple got dented when trying to unscrew the component which requires the strength of Superman to take the screws out. So now I have a buzzy feedback when there is bass.
Thanks for the great video! I ordered the replacement on Tuesday and it arrived on Friday. I replaced it exactly as shown in the video and am up and running now. I have sound if I push ipod forward in cradle an put tissues too keep it pushed forward is that the sound board or cradle

My Sound dock series 1 is not working. I know it receives power but an old iPod touch says that the device will no supply power or does not recognizes the charger cable. So, it does receive power but it's not charging my ipod.
Also it is not playing any audio. Is this solved with a new sound board? Do you guys ship to Mexico?

Not a technical solution, you just replace the system board, a real fix should be repair the problem at the board
