They are not cocky at all... It's the opposite they are soooo damn humble for being nbmr one biggest boy band in the world... They never show any arrogance.. Unless they are provoked badly by some haters.. Bcz bts passed by a severe hardship and hate nd jealousy from companies, and other Fandoms... specially during 2016... It is good sometimes to shut the haters...👌
And i think it was also becz of political things. Imagine you lived in an era where your government would easy to ban your band because dare to make music about injustice & criticising the society

They may act cocky but only when they're on the stage and/or performing. Specially in their earlier years because they actually started basically as a hiphop group and they have cypher songs to address their haters. Other than those instances, they are so humble and grounded and real.

I agree with you Laura, Danger is also my suggestion. The dance practices of both Dope and Danger are so powerful and captivating which sucked me into the rabbit hole that made me love and stan the boys.
DOPE is just really dope. A 5 year old song sounds just like it was just released yesterday. And you would really love and appreciate BTS more.
This song/video was still pretty early on in their career (2015) so they actually didn't have as much recognition vs now. First title song after I Need U so they were juust starting to rise. But the cockiness in the lyrics are calling out that while others complain and whine and spend their spare time clubbing, they work hard all night and day to be "dope" at what they do - and that's Bangtan style (;
Even though many BTS songs are more famous, somehow Dope is the one I like the most!!, maybe because I like the concept of the song

I love this song so much i cosplayed as Jimin from this MV and did the Dope dance at a local comic con near me and i had fun.
Also i love how Jimin and Jungkook bounced of eachother, with their voices.
Jimin in this MV is why i love a man in uniform, i love Jimins voice and i also love his highnotes aswell but his character is the one i love, this is partly the reason Jimin is my ultimate kpop bias.

BTS guys are not cocky. This is one of the songs that they "dedicated" to their haters, who did not accept that a group that did not come from the 3 main companies, or that was not their favorite, could be growing in popularity and sales without the need to be surrounded by those institutions (his company did not have the weight of the others to buy them the media time that the other groups had, nor did they depend on other record companies).
In the song they mention how hard they worked, while they spent time practicing, while others had time to enjoy life, to party. They point out that their effort is what helps them succeed.

This song is an anthem for those who are working overtime or allnighters! 🤣 Like one of the reasons of my attachment with BTS is there's a song for whatever you're feeling in their discography. At that time, a lot of the songs were about love, attraction and breakups or being the badass. But this one was talking about everyday's life hustle. Goodness. Memories 😅 this would be a good song while drinking beer or alcohol while working 🤣

Would appreciate if you would react to this “jungkook the main vocalist of BTS” video that offers a lot of behind the scenes info of his role as the main vocalist and what he really does that most people really don’t seem to know... it’s inspiring but so many very cool information even him being my bias I had no idea and the clips with the other members... it’s eye opening. I noticed that you guys haven’t done anything jungkook in your 100 videos... seems like a good time to learn about the maknae that’s been the main vocalist, center of performances, sub rapper and dance line from debut even though he was 14-15 years old and 2 years younger than the next person in age older than him. Being the main vocalist with the position meant for the most skilled in front of this team of incredibly skilled vocalists, dancers and performers... it’s cool to get to know more about what being a main vocalist actually means... not just having the most lines . Definitely would never call BTS “cocky,” lol they’re only talking about how hard they work which we all know they Kill themselves to be able to perform the way they do. Then saying they’re out here grinding while other guys their age are more interested in partying and clubbing isn’t cocky... it’s just a fact. They’re actually extremely humble and struggle with feeling like they’re not good enough or that they’re not working hard enough... it baffles me bc they’re anything but not good enough or not working hard enough..but they’re human and deal with things we all do.. part of the reason so many love them so much... the honesty of the struggle is very real. Maybe check out burn the stage or “bts overworked and exhausted,” or the “bts accidents falls and faints “
Bts is working hard on their job like others to make it and all they get is hate. Why you were out clubbing around I was working nonstop to make it. Could be why they are dressed up as professionals working hard so why you hating on us is what I think. Cuz anything you do with all your might is dope. Get off our backs about our success. Did you get that "I reject rejection". I'm straight up in your face working hard and you tell me I will never make it. Dope - they just got commissioned has ambassadors for S.
