@@rafaelsmith5737read the lyrics. It says work hard, don't be a weak whiny loser and don't waste your time (an example would be being an asshole in a utube comment section). The tannies have always placed an emphasis on hard work, discipline and striving for goals.
They were trained to be in sync IN EVERY SEQUENCE, to the point when you pause the vid, you'll see them in perfect and same positions. They always monitor they performances right after and redo if they are not satisfied (even though it's already crisp and solid). They are perfectionists as an artists and I respect them a lot for it.
Exactly! There might be other K-pop groups who are more talented than them, but NO ONE will ever have worked harder than them. They struggled after their debut and before their debut and faced horrible copyright and chart manipulation allegations, but they didn’t let that break them. They all started off with almost no experience in dance, singing, and rap and they each had very disparate talents, but they practiced trained so much and gave up their lives all to put a smile on their few fans’ faces. They deserve every bit of success that comes their way and even more. Their teamwork and desperation to achieve perfection in their production, composition, flow, vocals, and charisma is something that many people belittle when they shouldn’t.
But they are definitely the most talented group in addition to all the hard work. They have the most talented singers, rappers and dancers. And there is no other group anywhere with the amount of talent in writing, composing and producing. Period 💜It is this combination with the hard work and dedication that makes them the most successful group of all time, anywhere.
DOPE. . .THE SONG THAT MADE ME AN ARMY!! Just a few things. This was 2015. Two years after debut. JK was 17. At this point, they were struggling big time. Their company was poor. Their dorm was tiny. They still all slept in one room at this point, I think. Their peers openly ridiculed them and told them they were nothing. Look where they are now!! Perfect rags to riches story, at least as far as I am concerned.
you’ve become my favorite reactor for bts recently. i was kinda worried when you went mia for a while, but i’m glad you’re back. your reactions have juice, you’re not just reacting for the sake of reacting. i can see that you really appreciate and eating up every single thing my boys are doing, with your effort to even search every little detail you fail to understand man, i appreciate that. and you don’t say shit you actually know what you’re saying, every little details from the song, the lyrics, the meaning, the choreography, the beats, the visuals, the effort, everything. keep it up, man! take care always.
You may have missed it but at 3.04 very subtle in the background of Jimin starting, you can hear "I don't give a fuck, I don't give a fuck", in perfect high notes! Perfect for this song!
Like what they said, this is the BANGTAN style. They walked and talked their shit. They are real and their lyrics always speak the truth. Proud of them. BTS, all 7 members have not changed. Still humble, hardworking and love us ARMY same as how much we love them.
Fun Fact: RM's verses connects to their song called Baepses...You will need to watch a dkdktv explanation for Baepsae for korean references. RM's verse is deeeeep... Edit: this song was produced by Pdogg (in-house producer and been with them from the beginning)
You’re very perceptive in your observations of their performances. Even if this type of music isn’t for everyone, people can at least recognize the hard work that goes into their craft. I hadn’t listened to this song in a long time. Thanks for making it so much fun to listen to. And keep TYS! 😉
Fun fact - the high note sung at 17:49 is Jimin in this studio version (even though Jungkook 'mouths' it in the mv), but in the live version Jungkook sings it. So maybe that's why you felt like it was a completely different person (tbh, having been a fan for over 4 years, even I hear that high note as Jimin's voice).
A story about “Dope”: early in their careers (and most notably durin WINGS era, so 2016), they were being treated very badly by award shows and broadcasting networks. This hate stretched even to other groups (who looked down on them) and other fandoms (who discredited them and ARMY). So, "Dope" talks about how they work hard because they didn't have Big Three privilege to kickstart their career, that all of their current (2015) and future success is because they were working hard and practicing and making music instead of clubbing and drinking all the time. It's a flex song that showcases their vocals, their amazing dance, their rap and their honest hard-work. It also welcomes you, the viewer, to BTS because they KNOW that you'll become a fan after watching "Dope”. Some notes about Dope: the song actually has a lot of social commentary. The first part of Namjoon's verse is quite deep actually. As everyone can see, it was translated by the channel as this: Given up on 3? Given up on 5? I like number 6, how about giving up on 6? And it can be understood on its own, alluding to having given up after N number of times. But originally in Korean, he said: 3포세대? 5포세대? Sampo Generation? Opo Generation? Sampo Generation (Hangul: 삼포세대; Hanja: 三抛世代; RR: samposedae, “Three giving-up generation”) is a neologism in South Korea referring to a generation that gives up dating, marriage, and having kids. Many of the young generation in South Korea have given up those three things because of social pressures and economical problems such as increasing cost-of-living, tuition payments, and affordable housing scarcity. There is also the oposedae, or “five giving-up generation”, which takes the same three and adds employment and home ownership. 그럼 난 육포가 좋으니까 6포세대 Then, since I like beef jerky, let me be Yookpo Generation Wordplay: Since I like 육포 (肉脯; beef jerky), let me be 6포 (六抛; six giving-up). Both 육포 and 6포 are pronounced yookpo. Then there's chilposedae (7포세대) or Seven giving-up generation that further includes interpersonal relationships and hope. And as everyone can notice, he didn't mention it. He used yookpo sedae or six-giving-up generation instead. That means he hasn't give up on hope yet. It plays with the line "Can I get a little bit of hope?” on the later part of his verse. Sam: Three Oh: Five Yook: Six Chil: Seven Po: Give up Sedae: Generation He criticises how the older generation labels them as lazy and having no will, when in fact millennials are struggling because the economic and social conditions they live in are completely different from their predecessors. Countless hours of studying don't guarantee admission into college and hard work doesn't guarantee a job. Thus, "Dope" is, aside from a flex song about them working hard all the time, a work anthem that celebrates all the effort that youth put in with lyrics like "I reject rejection." Their outfits represent different careers because they are representing their generation and people who work hard.
Thank you for explaining it to him. It's amazing how we can always trust an ARMY like you breaking down the song lyrics in detail on every video. This is very important, because we are getting new ARMYs everyday, and lyrics are important in BTS music. Thanks again.
Your explanation is amazing. Do you have a channel? I'm new to BTS and to understand their messages is so important. That's rheir goal right? Thank you for what you wrote
minor detail abt this music video that shouldn't go over un-fact checked btw: the "i gotta make it fire" falsetto is actually a diff member's voice (jimin). they switched lines in the mv but the voice is still theirs. in live perf though, jungkook (the one that lip sync's in the mv) does hit it and kills it too.
@@jch6809 there was discourse back then when the mv was released because everyone was sure whose part was whose in the studio version (dope mv was released in the later half promotion of hyyh pt1). jimin and jungkook actually switching in the live performances kinda convinced a lot that they were singing their original parts so i understand if people believe that. but their voices are quite distinct, especially if they pay attention and have good earphones hehe
The way RM raps "Can I get a little bit of hope" 14:52... The melody is not like he's sincerely asking people to have hope in them. In actual, he doesn't expect it and doesn't need it to work. It's a mocking tune for 'enemies' trying to knock hard/smart-working but 'smaller' people down (masking the act as critique) for fear that their inevitable success would overtake them. A few years after this song, they sure overtook them all. RM, you genius
They were kids when they became trainees, and Suga and RM were 13 when they started rapping, and did underground rap. J-hope was 10 when he started dancing, and he was the youngest to join his dance team when he was doing underground dance. Jungkook was 13 when he became a trainee. RM was 16 when he became a trainee with Big Hit Entertainment, and Suga I think was 18 when he became a trainee in 2010. They were ages 15 to 20 when they all debuted in June of 2013. So yeah, they were young when they started their grind. I mean Jungkook was in Middle school and the guys practically raised him. They all lived together in Seoul, away from their parents, and they were working anywhere from 12 to 16 hours a day, every day. That was their beginnings.
So cool of you saying you can see and feel their energy and friendship, this is real and yes, everyone who has an open minded and dive like you will at least respect them! thanks for the reaction!!
7:35 most of them got into the industry(either rapping, singing or dancing from 10-15 years old. Rm and suga were rapping in the underground scene at 13, Jhope was dancing at 10, Jimin was dancing at an Eliete dance school as a teenager, and jk got into the company at 15) so they really did spend their entire youth perfecting their craft. In K-pop, most groups don’t get holidays either, especially big groups, they are either preparing an album( most groups do at least 1 mini album/year, up to studio album and a mini album/year) practicing, and practicing some more, doing promotions or going on tour, fanmeets, fashion campaigns(they are all signed to BIG brands, LV, CK, Dior, etc) commercials.. the list goes on). And they’ve been in the game officially for 10 years now…. The amount of hours they’ve put in is actually insane
Jungkook--Policeman (and yes, he hits that note live on stage) Jimin--Office worker V--Anime detective character (I forget his name)----and yeah, rip to Pee Wee Herman. Pee Wee's Playhouse was it! Jin--Doctor Suga--Military officer J-Hope--Racecar driver RM--Doorman/Elevator man Okay this is hilarious: RM's family lived in a building with a really cool doorman when he was a little kid and he actually wanted to be a doorman for a minute, no kidding :) They even did a bunch of their promotion pics in an elevator 🤣 Also, the sax/bass sample sounds a lot like the sax in that Flo Rida song.
@@ataraxia7949 Yep, Detective Boy Conan! In the U.S. I think it was also translated as "Case Closed." Popular Japanese manga series that's been going since 1994 (and is still going). The anime came out in 1996.
"I reject rejection". Love that lyric. They knew who they were together from the very beginning. And to your point of they're really a brotherhood & it's hard to imagine they were thinking about breaking up. It wasn't that they weren't getting along (like almost every boy band in Western history), it was more about they'd be rotting in the studio most of every day for 8 years at that point and hardly ever saw their families ...and yes, they'd all given up their teenage years but had already reached a level of global fame they never imagined. A lot of pressure came from that ...the hopes of their entire country were kind of riding on their backs by that time. And their contracts were coming up. In k-pop contracts run for like 7 years so they needed all 7 of them to say ok, let's do this for another 7 years. That's crazy! I actually find it harder to believe they've stayed together. Thankfully, Hybe's giving them the freedom now to get some rest & carve their own paths with different types of music & other endeavors (like Suchwita - love that show!).
The “I gotta make it fire” is Jimin’s line!!! It’s the red hair boy in this MV and the blue hair one in the “ON” MV, he has a really amazing voice, you can check out his solo “Like Crazy” if you want it’s really gooooodddd
Yes "the blue hair boy" from ON is Jimin. There is an ENTIRE GENRE of YT vids of people falling down the Jimin rabbit hole. Why? Because once you "Jim-in, you can't Jim-out!" 😂😅😂 During ON we all watched you "Jim-in" 310! And we loved it!!!💜💜💜
DID YOU KNOW , that they stayed up for 24-hours straight, making this video, without sleep. They got 10-minute food breaks & costume change breaks, the rest was promotional photo shoots, between damce sets. Working during their breaks, that is truly the BANGTAN STYLE for you baby!! Woo Hoo!! That is why they REALLY ARE NO.#1.
17:56 it actually IS two people singing there. I think for the sake of the video or choreo JK and Jimin “sing” each others lines in bigger sections than is true of the recording…if that makes sense? The high “I gotta make it fire…” is actually Jimin’s voice.
17:58 it's because it was a different person:) that high note was sang by Jimin (the redhead), in that scene he and Jungkook (the brunette) kinda mixed each other's lines
Each career shown is filled with personal drive and commitment to the end. Doctors, teachers, policemen and so on. Fits so well with who they are and what they have become. Thru it all they have never given up on themselves or each other or on us.
You probably didn’t catch it but that part where “this is Bangtan style” started at 18:36. The vocalists are actually switched. So in that first high note you hear that you kept going back to is actually Jimin singing (red hair) but Jungkook is the one mouthing it in the video and singing it in most live performances and then the part right after is actually Jungkook’s voice but Jimin mouthing it in the video and singing it in most live performances.
Before Covid, I'd heard about BTS a couple of times, but they looked like a typical boy band. When Dynamite came out, the MV popped up on RUclips. I watched it and then Boy with Luv and it seemed to confirm that they were just an average boy band. Months later Dynamite popped up again and I decided to make sure I had given it a fair shot. I watched it and Boy with Luv again. Yep. It was how I remembered it. Then I decided to watch one more. Dope. It wasn't even the music that got me at first. It was the dancing. I could SEE the amount of hard work that went into the dancing. THIS was no average boy band. Over the course of a few days of consuming everything BTS that I could find, I became ARMY. This was the song that changed everything for me. Because BTS helped me get out of my pandemic funk and my actual decades of depression and inspired me to be a better person. I am always super thankful that I watched one more video.
hei what yall saying you really don’t know who singing that high note army? it’s jimin. that actually jimin jungkook back to back vocal like jungkook-jimin-jungkook-jimin not jimin-jimin-jungkook-jungkook yk what im sayin? the high note is JIMIN not jk guys, the comments😭😭
Yeah, since JK sings the high note live (and lip syncs it here,) I think most armies don't know. Took me forever to realize it's actually JK saying "This is Bangtan syle."
It’s crazy because when Jungkook joined bts he was still in highschool. Like the other 6 members were there at his graduation ceremony. It’s been the 7 of them for so long and they all worked so hard together. 🥹
Dope and No More Dream are special because i feel these are the mvs that really showcased their youthful hunger, teenage angst but for success, their desperation really. Those boy wanted this ao much from the beginning and they worked so hard every single day even today
YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS LIVE!!! They make remixes exclusively for their concerts, my favorite was on the Permission to the Dance concert. You will really get hyped up like you haven't been before 😂
@@camiilleexv YES!! I was watching it live at like 3 am and I was silent screaming so hard when Run Bts started, trying not to wake up my roommate loll 😭 one of the most exciting things I've ever witnessed tbh, felt like I could've ran a marathon after that 🏃♀️
I HOPE YOU GET TO ENJOY THE ‘SAVE ME’ MV SOON!! When I first saw it I was addicted for months, must have watched it ten times a day no joke 😅😅😅 great song, simple yet incredibly satisfying video
J-Hope is the dance leader. He has a sharp eye, is detailed, they rewind sometimes frame by frame to get everything in sync. They were very young here, jungkook maybe 17? They practiced 12 hours a day.
Ok now that you’ve seen Dope, remember the “Sam-Po-se-de” and “oh-Po-se-de” that Namjoon says. The captions say “giving up on 3? Giving up on 5?” When you watch Baepsae / Silver Spoon, they revisit that concept. It’s basically the things that this generation has given up on. Also the choreography has a lot of “gyrations,” so you’ll laugh. ☺️ Thanks for helping us hear more of the production side! 💜
Welcome back Gameboyyy360!! You were missed!!! Sorry you had tech issues. This was so much fun to watch with you, just like the fun felt in the mv. BTS is dope! You’re dope!! Bounce around how you want, we’ll follow whatever you’re on to next, cause you’re a real one! 😉 ✌️
👍🏽 PD. Escucha dope en vivo.
And just think, they were kids. Their growth since then is phenomenal. I mean they're representing fashion houses (Dior, Louis V, Bottega Veneta, Calvin Klein, Celine, Valentino), jewelry houses (Cartier, Tiffany), SimInvest, Samsung, Hyundai, the NBA (Suga). When Jin is released we think it might be Thom Browne for him. Louis and Celine both fought for a year to get Jhope and V, respectively. They were all under Louis V at one point but when their contract was over, during Chapter 2, they were pursued, I'll say it again, PURSUED. Deservedly. Did you know that V was named the IDOL of IDOLS. He's so beautiful and a sweet guy. Now Suga with Suchwita has a hit on his hands. Is there nothing they can't do, nope. That's dope.
oh i think this song needs an explanation video, it would be good if you watch an analysis of the lyrics because it is really good and it talks about korean society and the different generations, of course you don’t need to make a reaction, but i think these lyrics are a proof of why Bangtan is different and what sets them apart since their debut days
They are still babies here, Just two years after debut and Jungkook (Police uniform) is only 17. V (Suit with shorts) is 19, Jimin (office worker suit) is 19. RM is 20. Suga & j-hope are 21. Jin (Dr outfit) is 22.
Prior to BTS, the Temptations was my fav group. Many don't understand the things the Temptation began for musicians. Choreo AND singing, the group mic setup...etc.
I loved the last dance part with Jimin, who eats choreo for breakfast, up front and Suga, who never wanted to dance, right there next to him, giving it his all and slaying it. God, I love these boys.
Hello! You do know one of the things that blew BTS up is there dancing! The fact that they danced in perfect sync. They are some of the best dancers in KPop and there stage performances alwasy show that. You have to watch there Award Show Performances that are ALL legendary!!
FINALLY I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS 😂😂😂 you keep saying dope and I couldn't wait till you discover this jem, this is the first song I heard from bts, holds a special place in my heart along w fire, the song that made me army 💜
I totally love your reactions!! The guy in shorts, represents a teacher - everyone wears uniforms to school over there. The shorts are a bit extra for a teacher, but you get the point.
*About the wardrobe:* as they are singing about their hard work in their career, they're also shouting out to all the hard workers in different fields, doctors, police officers, officers, car racers... And in each TV performance they would dress up as different workers, sports players, classical musicians, soldiers....
If you loved this please check out the live performance coz they are really dope live not to mention JKs live high note with their full choreo. You’ll love it!
You are so fun to watch. Something else that impresses me about them is that they rehearse their entire show the morning of every show. Like I don't know if that's normal or not, but I doubt that it is. But every damn show, no matter how many times they've done it. This is why they are always flawless.
He’s turning into a army right before our eyes, I love when people first discover BTS and appreciate their talent, so refreshing. Omg there is so many MV’s and stages he can see that will blow him away 🙌🏼😏💜
Nice to see you back! "Dope" was back in 2015, only a couple of years after their debut, so they really were young. SUGA would have been 22 when it was released; j-hope and RM would have been 21 and 20. The youngest (the one in the police uniform) would have been only 17. When you get to "Danger," "Fire," and "Idol," you'll see how well they continue to execute this kind of song. But you should also check out their debut song, "No More Dream," and "Attack on Bangtan." Pretty dope. 🙂
N they weren't considering breaking up for bad reasons they were just EXHAUSTED..but their love for ARMY & each other they signed another 7 years 💜 suga said in has last live be strong until 2025 when they back on stage ...our Jin & jhope were just home for his last night toooo😭😭😭 bughit announced he is leaving 4 service anyday ...him walking thru that white door & breaking down in stage broke me I stg 🥺
man! I have enjoyed your video, your reactions, I have laughed a lot with you, man. I agreed with everything you said and you're my favorite reactor now. If you watch the dance practice of this song you'll hear even the sound of their feet in sync...that's crazy!
BTS rapline wrote always their parts, RM wrote full songs, BTS rapline produced this songs with their company producer Our BTS tried to destry by korean biggest companies , sht Big Three companies all TVs radios didn't invited our boys, didn't let do their PR all Big Three lipsync groups got famous after their debuts through media, tv variety shows radios they went party But Our BTS worked nonstop
I’m obsessed with your BTS reactions. I Love that you get them and music and their artistry. Don’t forget, this was just a couple years after their debut.
In terms of shit talking, they are the GOATS lol. They did a music show performance back around this time with some straight up insane choreography and production, but when it was filmed by the show, the camera work completely diminished and didn’t show so much of what they worked their asses off preparing. So their company created this video showing how fucking amazing they look when you just put a little bit of thought into the overall production and camera work. It was really what wowed me when I first started listening to them. The company at the time was small and did not have near the resources that many of their peers did, but they worked twice as hard as everyone to show that even if they didn’t have what others did, they had 10x the passion, talent, and drive. They consistently put out some of the best work in the industry and make sure everyone knows just how fucking hard they work everyday to get there. This video has such “if y’all won’t do the work we’ll do it ourselves” energy and it still gets me pumped every time I watch it! ruclips.net/video/S1Up-ZzHmuw/видео.html Also I echo everyone saying watch Baepsae (silver spoon)!! It definitely has the same message of “I worked really fucking hard to get where I am, and I’m proud of that.” If there is one thing they will always, always do well is TALK THEIR SHIT!! TYO!! I would def buy a shirt that said that lol.
Although the song's title is Dope which is Jjeoleo (pronounced cho-rro) in korean has two meanings and it also stands for to sing with sweat. If you listen to the song with the second meaning, you will understand how they were able to reach the Dope.of today by practicing hard until midnight while being drenched in sweat.
You should watch their dope, baepsae, fire, run medley performance its SO good. Now that's you've seen most of these songs you just have to know how HARD they go live (like the band is so good I live how they remix songs, and the energy is insane)

So good to see you! And you're spot on with the feel of the song. I loved seeing you appreciate RM's cadence. Even then he could rap seamlessly in Korean and English, which is amazing. His delivery is always so polished. You said "they had the right guy do that part" about Hobi's verse and it made me want to tell you that the rappers pretty much always write their own verses. They aren't delivering someone else's words. That's not hip-hop & they know it 😅 Love that you appreciated the choreo! This one's by Keone Madrid, who is worth checking out in his own right. An amazing dancer and choreographer. 😁
That's correct, every single word said by RM, j-hope, SUGA were written by themselves, they're not rapping other people's lyrics, they rap what they write.
@@Dani.Torres I threw in the "pretty much" because there are a few exceptions, but it's so central to who they are and how they make music... Got my respect right away. Anyone can learn to deliver a rap verse with enough practice, but being a rapper is a lot more than that. 💜
You have become my favorite bangtan reactor. Its like you articulate what I can't in relation to the beats, the choreo, the ad libs, the vocals. Dope was my second song after black swan that grabbed me by my neck and was like "you're army now." lol
This is what separate BTS from the others. Almost all of their songs are their personal stories, if not it's them being realistic about their views of our society and world. So when I stumbled on people questioning why lot of people loves BTS? Btch, they got good music is enough reason to be proud of them. But if you will just give enough time to know them? Gosh, its life changing. They're all talented and hardworking. Remain true and humble all these years. So you can see why they have the biggest fandom and the most loyal ones because we all know how they deserve these support and love they're having right now.
1. Their "dance practice" to this song was what made me an army!! If you want to see a raw performance of their dancing skills, the practice video is super fun and a good showcase for the dancers. 2. PLEASE please watch Suga's "INTERLUDE: SHADOW" music video. Not only does it break my heart but it's got a killer bridge/ending. They did a three-part series of albums, the Love Yourself albums, based off of Carl Jung's archetypes and theories of us all having an Ego, a Shadow, a persona, a true self, etc. In Shadow, Suga talks about the fear and isolation at the top of their fame. (Title: BTS (방탄소년단) MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 'Interlude : Shadow' Comeback Trailer)
Videos and have an entire set of them what is now called the BU or BTS universe that all chain together and make a storyline, and they are so deep. The theories that came from these are incredible
GameBoyy 310, I lived at Hawthorne and Century in 1971. Been there at 310. BTS shit IS Dope. BTS dresses up as their "dream careers". RM is a concierge! SUGA kills it in the military. V is in his Harry Potter phase. You are 100% right comparing them to Michael Jackson. I am very impressed by your intellectual and emotional understanding. Thank you for your reaction. (Paul Reuben. RIP.)
@@elnabenoitI'm not sure, but did they perhaps mean Detective Conan...? I know the suit is grey, not blue, but... And one thing I do know is that there are some explanation pages that say V is a detective.
@@AoE_7 Yes, I think Conan is right. I just learned this yesterday from an older Korean reactor. He said V is Conan the detective from a Japanese animated series about a detective who ends up back in his kid body, hence the shorts. He recognized it by the shorts with a suit, red bowtie, & the thick glasses. And the the magnifying glass. I haven't seen the series, but it was an instantly recognizable character to him, so he explained it to his viewers. 💜
You are the first reactor I’ve seen that recognized the Roger rabbit. Hell yea it was! And you are right, that high part you kept rewinding was a different person. It was Jimin. For some reason they had jk lip sync it in the video.
They were so young and so determined and so awesome! Great reaction - I love how you look beyond the surface of the sound and image to get to the gold underneath - also your homage to The Temptations made me very happy.🥰💜
i love that there's always someone calling you when you're reacting to something. I feel like they do it on purpose lol!! Jungkook joined training when he was 12/13 if I'm remembering correctly. During this point he's 17. The rest of the boys tried their best to try and make him some sort of childhood with what they were able to do. I love Dope. Dope is the song I found BTS with back in 2015. The first thing that I noticed about them (besides the song) was their dancing. That's what made me curious. So I was really happy when you pumped up their dance sequence in the beginning because that's me every time I rewatch the music video. 2015 and 2016 was a rough point in their careers. Their peers and anti fans made fun of them and campaigned against them all the time. Which is why we're a little overprotective of them. I'm happy about how far they've come and that you've found them and are able to enjoy the music they put their blood sweat and tears into.
Late to the party but love your reactions. Glad you brought up MJ…I worry about how young JK started and how it might fuck up his adult self. Hoping for the best for them all, as seven strong.
As far as I know, you haven't seen the BTS guide made by Taylor. I'm curious if you have any plans to watch it in the future : ) The guide video is very entertaining and inspiring. After watching it, you'll gain a different perspective on BTS, and you might even wish you had seen it earlier. I'm confident it will make your BTS's journey much more enjoyable. However, this is just a suggestion, not a demand : )
they'll make songs sound poppy as hell but always have a deep meaning

- As told in the Beyond the Story- 10 year Record of BTS book
G DRAGON KING .
That’s dedication..and it always pays off
But they are definitely the most talented group in addition to all the hard work.

Oh yeah, they were also accused for plagiarism and saejaegi too, tough time fr.

you’ve become my favorite reactor for bts recently. i was kinda worried when you went mia for a while, but i’m glad you’re back. your reactions have juice, you’re not just reacting for the sake of reacting. i can see that you really appreciate and eating up every single thing my boys are doing, with your effort to even search every little detail you fail to understand man, i appreciate that. and you don’t say shit you actually know what you’re saying, every little details from the song, the lyrics, the meaning, the choreography, the beats, the visuals, the effort, everything. keep it up, man! take care always.
Thanx fam💚🙌🏾..as an artist, I respect every artist and their vision. I understand the work that goes into this. Gotta give props when it’s due
You may have missed it but at 3.04 very subtle in the background of Jimin starting, you can hear "I don't give a fuck, I don't give a fuck", in perfect high notes! Perfect for this song!
Daaaaamn I did miss that…just heard it🙃🙃. Wit the falsetto and all😂😂
THE AMOUNT OF TIMES I HAVE LISTENED TO THIS SONG AND NEVER REALIZED THATS WHAT HE SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like what they said, this is the BANGTAN style. They walked and talked their shit. They are real and their lyrics always speak the truth. Proud of them. BTS, all 7 members have not changed. Still humble, hardworking and love us ARMY same as how much we love them.
You HAVE to watch their Dionysus performance at 2019 MAMA!!!!! It's SUCH an insane performance. I think I passed out the first time I watched haha 🤣
Fun Fact: RM's verses connects to their song called Baepses...You will need to watch a dkdktv explanation for Baepsae for korean references. RM's verse is deeeeep...
Edit: this song was produced by Pdogg (in-house producer and been with them from the beginning)
THIS!!
UP
You’re very perceptive in your observations of their performances. Even if this type of music isn’t for everyone, people can at least recognize the hard work that goes into their craft. I hadn’t listened to this song in a long time. Thanks for making it so much fun to listen to. And keep TYS! 😉
You can definitely hear and see the hard work even if the music it isn’t for you. Only a hater would say different. Thanx for tappin in💚💚TYS😏
As everyone can see, it was translated by the channel as this:
Given up on 3? Given up on 5?
I like number 6, how about giving up on 6?
And it can be understood on its own, alluding to having given up after N number of times. But originally in Korean, he said:
3포세대?
그럼 난 육포가 좋으니까 6포세대
Then, since I like beef jerky, let me be Yookpo Generation
Wordplay: Since I like 육포 (肉脯; beef jerky), let me be 6포 (六抛; six giving-up).
Sam: Three
Oh: Five
Yook: Six
Chil: Seven
Po: Give up
Sedae: Generation
He criticises how the older generation labels them as lazy and having no will, when in fact millennials are struggling because the economic and social conditions they live in are completely different from their predecessors.

YES!
minor detail abt this music video that shouldn't go over un-fact checked btw: the "i gotta make it fire" falsetto is actually a diff member's voice (jimin). they switched lines in the mv but the voice is still theirs. in live perf though, jungkook (the one that lip sync's in the mv) does hit it and kills it too.
man I thought I was tripping. I thought I had peeped that but ain’t ever heard no one else talk about it 😭😭
Yes I was like isn't that jimin ! They mixed their voices together and switched lines but the live version was jk doing it
@@jch6809 there was discourse back then when the mv was released because everyone was sure whose part was whose in the studio version (dope mv was released in the later half promotion of hyyh pt1). jimin and jungkook actually switching in the live performances kinda convinced a lot that they were singing their original parts so i understand if people believe that. but their voices are quite distinct, especially if they pay attention and have good earphones hehe
@@hannanounou3153i do remember they did it too back then with namjoon (rm)'s line in just one day. they gave it to taehyung (v) in the mv
Also hobi singing the intro in spring day, even tho rm does the whole part in the mv.
Well put

Thanks for letting me know..I’ll make note of this
Jungkook--Policeman (and yes, he hits that note live on stage)
Jimin--Office worker
V--Anime detective character (I forget his name)----and yeah, rip to Pee Wee Herman. Pee Wee's Playhouse was it!
Jin--Doctor
Suga--Military officer
J-Hope--Racecar driver
RM--Doorman/Elevator man
Okay this is hilarious: RM's family lived in a building with a really cool doorman when he was a little kid and he actually wanted to be a doorman for a minute, no kidding :)
They even did a bunch of their promotion pics in an elevator 🤣
Also, the sax/bass sample sounds a lot like the sax in that Flo Rida song.
I believed V is Conan
Ok that fact about RM is so freaking adorable ❤🥰
How'd you know that thing about Joon's family 😂 I've never heard it before
@@ataraxia7949 Yep, Detective Boy Conan! In the U.S. I think it was also translated as "Case Closed." Popular Japanese manga series that's been going since 1994 (and is still going). The anime came out in 1996.
Detective boy Conan is the anime character that Taehyung potrayed. Not sure if it has anything to do with Peewee Herman

17:56 it actually IS two people singing there. I think for the sake of the video or choreo JK and Jimin “sing” each others lines in bigger sections than is true of the recording…if that makes sense? The high “I gotta make it fire…” is actually Jimin’s voice.
17:58 it's because it was a different person:)
that high note was sang by Jimin (the redhead), in that scene he and Jungkook (the brunette) kinda mixed each other's lines

You probably didn’t catch it but that part where “this is Bangtan style” started at 18:36. The vocalists are actually switched. So in that first high note you hear that you kept going back to is actually Jimin singing (red hair) but Jungkook is the one mouthing it in the video and singing it in most live performances and then the part right after is actually Jungkook’s voice but Jimin mouthing it in the video and singing it in most live performances.
the song is Dope, the outfits are dope, the choreo is dope absolutely everything about this video is DOPE!!

Dope is on my workout playlist because it gets me hyped every time! JK's high note is perfection! Glad you're back!
The "I gotta make it fire baby" line was sung by Jimin even if the video showed Jungkook, it was a bit misleading haha
oh i think this song needs an explanation video, it would be good if you watch an analysis of the lyrics because it is really good and it talks about korean society and the different generations, of course you don’t need to make a reaction, but i think these lyrics are a proof of why Bangtan is different and what sets them apart since their debut days
I agree, the lyrics are one of my favorites. I remember korean music shows censored some parts of the song for being "too explicit" and "vulgar" 😂

*About the wardrobe:* as they are singing about their hard work in their career, they're also shouting out to all the hard workers in different fields, doctors, police officers, officers, car racers... You are so fun to watch. Something else that impresses me about them is that they rehearse their entire show the morning of every show.

BTS rapline wrote always their parts, RM wrote full songs, BTS rapline produced this songs with their company producer
Our BTS tried to destry by korean biggest companies , sht Big Three companies
all TVs radios didn't invited our boys, didn't let do their PR
all Big Three lipsync groups got famous after their debuts through media, tv variety shows radios
they went party
But Our BTS worked nonstop
This video has such “if y’all won’t do the work we’ll do it ourselves” energy and it still gets me pumped every time I watch it!
ruclips.net/video/S1Up-ZzHmuw/видео.html
Also I echo everyone saying watch Baepsae (silver spoon)!!
Thanks for the explanation. Amazing how I can always learn something new about them and their work despite being ARMY for several years now.
You should watch their dope, baepsae, fire, run medley performance its SO good. Now that's you've seen most of these songs you just have to know how HARD they go live (like the band is so good I live how they remix songs, and the energy is insane)

anyway, EXCELLENT REACTION as always. not only are you entertaining but informative as hell. i always love hearing your thoughts throughout the video and at the end. even unequipped as you are of their years of history, you just always seem to get their intention and their message. and that you appreciate their music!!! 😍 whether it's their solo work or group, i love how open-minded you are 🥰
plssss Gameboyy react to Baepsae (Crow-Tit or Silver Spoon are the alternative titles), the record itself, the explanation AND THE LIVE. the live is VERY IMPORTANT, the one with the CHOREO okay, you're gonna LOVE IT I SWEAR!!!
the stage mix is great cuz hobi (j-hope, who is the group's dance leader) mixes it up every time but this is my PERSONAL FAVORITE STAGE!!!! 😁

anyway, i hope all is well now with your computer 😆 and in general!! can't wait for more reactions!!! i love putting your videos up alongside bts' to keep me company throughout my days. i'm very thankful to have stumbled onto your channel, more power to you!!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thanx for this comment right here💚
Means alot to me fr..I’m seeing “Baepsae” and “Fire” a lot. Those will be next from what it looks like so far.
@@G.Rudi.B excited to see it!!! 😍 take care always Gameboyy 🥰💜
I would recommend their song DNA, since it’s the song that got me into the group personally
Este chico sabe apreciar la buena música,
The first time i watched this video, the choreography took me all the way out. I was floored.
That's not hip-hop & they know it 😅
Love that you appreciated the choreo!
Pied Piper, Dimple, House of Cards, and my favorite, Blood Sweat and Tears
You have become my favorite bangtan reactor. Its like you articulate what I can't in relation to the beats, the choreo, the ad libs, the vocals. Dope was my second song after black swan that grabbed me by my neck and was like "you're army now." lol
Lmao😂by the neck huh??😂🙌🏾
The Temptations are still great. If you like New Edition then you will like BTS For You Choreography version official mv
RIP.)
In reality V is dressed as a detective hehe
@@luisajeon6279 Reality?
I always love to watch reaction video with an artist perspective. And you are my favourite now
i love that there's always someone calling you when you're reacting to something.
Dope was pre-Korean success for BTS. So they believed in themselves before the K-industry and general audience even gave a shit. Truly my idols
You should here him do that high note live it’s amazing. Miss ya so happy u did this song another anthem I love it💜💜💜
That’s what they’re telling me…Live version is on point
I love how bts makes you smile and laugh and have bursts of joy. Love ur reactions
