- The snow is coming and it's time to get your sleds ready! I go over a few things that could save you some money and the things that I check and do every year before i run my sleds. Have a look at this video and don't forget to check your owners manual as well for specific torque values and procedures.
Have fun and ride safe!
5 years later still watching this video
Thats awesome thanks!
Thanks for the excellent videos, just subscribed!
Try to start it periodically during the off season to get any dripped oil out before it pools
Always great information!
That's my dream sled right there!
Great vid. If i'm going to buy one I will be taking care of it. Too many times as a kid I wouldn't take care of things. Ouch.
great video.
great update
Nice job
you should add the 4th wheel boggie wheel kit to that iqr slidders will last longer !!
I think you have to trade that bad boy in for a long track and head out to Revelstoke b.c
I washed her yesterday, yaaay
Can I put a deeper lug track on a trail sled and go off trail or do I need other modz also ? where I want to ride is mostly flat and snow can be 2 feet deep.
If you drill holes in your running boards wont that weaken them ? I am considering doing the same to mine.
Hey Louis what is your input on the German engineered WOSNER PISTONS... 299.99$ piston kit... 2 Pistons, rings, wrist pins and sir clips
From local shop they have used nothing but WOSNER for the past 2 years I hear they work with RKtek for the kits they put out.. Something to look into but you probably knew about them already haha ..
My sleds exhaust manifold is broken in one corner and its missing a stud because there's nothing there, is there any quick fix?
How do you suggest removing a seized ski bolt? I have tried torquing on it and hitting with big hammer. Not budging
what are you using to clean your skidoo the black bottle??
I start mine and grease it, that's about it.
Is that powermodz sticker and hat and Polaris stuff over? Did someone win?
Nice video, i just have a quick question. What skis are you running on that thing? Gotta get some new ones for my '04 mxz and those things seem to work great.
C and A pros
most important thing forgot in the video was cleaning power valves
I have a 2000 ski doo summit 600 that I just bought and I have no tail lights, headlights, tach, or hardwarmers. The electrical schematic shows no resistors or fuses. I think that the voltage regulator may have gone and popped all my bulbs. Any other ideas anyone might have?
Does anyone know what brand of gas tank he has ? And also why he cut his skis like that? Would love to know. Thanks.
What 2 stroke oil should you use? Does the marine stuff work as long as it's injector safe? I can find an all purpose and a marine but none specific to sleds.
Its not a crazy setup just a stock 580 triple.
Time for a new sled pal
some people just dont care my uncle put 10000 on a vmax no oil or fluid change 15k original track and at least 10 seasons on a belt
if you put steel wool and moth balls in the bottom of your exhaust pipe the pests will stay out of it.( for the most part )
hey I have a timing module on my race sled just like you do on this one, what do they do? what do the numbers mean? how to they affect anything if it does? thanks
Jackson Murray changes degrees on ignition. I have It on E
hey loui your missing a bolt on the mount bracket that holds your air intake for the air box
+shmertel rae theirs a few more missing elsewhere ;P gotta go through and replace them lol
I just got a 1996 Polaris Indy ss 440 for my birthday is this thing any fast? If so what kind of sleds does it compete with? Thanks so much for your help
+No pe It's fast for a kids sled, I was riding an Indy 500 by the time I was 15.
Not much a phazer 480 will smoke it
Hey Louie I have a question, so my dad has a '96 polaris indy sp 600 triple and last season it would run out of gas within like 60-70 miles which it usually gets closes to 100 miles. What could be the problem that's causing this to happen?
Thanks.
check your carb boots, they crack and it may make it harder on gas, also check the fuel pump.
matthew bigras thank u
Nice Hayden hood on the wall. Where did you pick that up from?
+RageMonkey I just came into the shop one day and there it was!
Sledding Santa at it again eh?
Why did you not says anything about cleaning carbs? with the fuel these days you can gewhite death and varnish in the carbs in a very short amout of time.
What year is that sled
100th like 😂
what is the intro song
I live in Florida we don't have lead sleds 😁😁👌
that would fucking suck
what yaer is that sled
year
if its a 2 stroke why dose it have oil
+Gregg Schulz Exactly thanks Gregg!
some two stroke engines are oil injected and have an oil reservoir. these engines do not need fuel oil pre mix. if you did put pre mix in it, it would have a rich condition leading to fouling, excessive carbon buildup ect. also the engine would produce excessive grey smoke as unused oil burns as it exits the exhaust.
first
Shut up you shouldnt be here immature mindkraf kid!
This is a good video but not very tailored to newcomers..
Had a 2012 IQR wasn’t the greatest sled if you like to trail ride they suck there gassssss hogggggs
