I like the lore/authors that can demonstrate the pros Vs cons of them. For example: Nurgle is rot, illness, and decay... BUT... He's also renewal and resilience, the desire to survive against all the odds.
I am really glad with the new release of his rules you can now play him in line with the fluff. This is when warhammer is at its best I think when the fluff translates to the tabletop! Gutrot is making it into my list for sure!
I love Gutrot Spume, one of my favourite Warhammer characters. I hadn't even realised they had rebooted his background, I overlooked it in the Maggotkin book. I just assumed he was the same character from the Old World, just having survived the End Times (probably in the Realm of Chaos) just to become a marauding pirate in the Mortal realms. But after watching this and quickly grabbing my book in shock. I still love what they've done. They've still captured the essence of what made him a great character. And I've only just started catching up on the Realmgate Wars novels, but where he has popped up he is as surly and arrogant as I imagined him to be :)
The point about it happening without Spume's consent is an equally good point which I missed. The fact that you can become "blessed" by Nurgle like that without needing to accept first is scary. But on the other hand, Bloab Rotspawned gets punished by Nurgle without any warning. So it seems very obvious that the Chaos gods can now interfere much more in the lives' of mortals.
My only problem with your videos is they are not long enough lol just get into them while painting and they are over. Great content keep up the great work.

And I've not found any cohesive break down of who those guys were. Phil Kelly did mention the nine in his most recent Twitch chat, but he did mention they'd only focus on the 3 with a model kit... I just thought it would be a cool lore video to make, especially with Legions of Nagash being based around the mortarch legions, it could be a glimpse in the future for death as well.

Grimgor, the Savage orc with a mask who's name I can't remember or Sharsnik? Gutrot is my favorite nurgle model too, and was the first nurgle mini I picked up and painted.

I believe Vlad, Luthor Harkon and Krell were also Mortarchs during the End Times. Maybe they will be making a return in the future.
